[résolu] ATi Mobility 3650 impossible de charger le module ati

Bonsoir,

En essayant de connecter mon écran externe à mon pc portable, le serveur graphique a crashé (écrans clignotants). Donc j'ai redémarré en espérant que la configuration correcte allait se charger. Mais après lightdm je n'ai plus que la souris au milieu d'un écran noir. startx permet d'accéder au bureau sous llvmpipe. Redémarrer lightdm, reconfigurer xserver-xorg, réinstaller le pilote libre ne donne rien.

J'ai trouvé ceci:

Driver libre 'radeon'.
Étant donné que je rédige mon mémoire de master d'histoire en ce moment, j'ai hâté un peu les choses. J'ai réinstallé à partir d'un live-usb (option en conservant les données et les logiciels dans la mesure du possible). Le module se charge bien mais toujours l'écran noir et plus de souris.
Pourtant en live, le driver libre fonctionne bien. Je me demande si ça ne vient pas du nouveau noyau (3.14.xx). Je vais réinstaller sans cocher la case 'télécharger les mises à jour...'. Mon iso date du jour de la sortie de 14.04.

edit: aucun changement en rajoutant le paramètre radeon.dpm à grub.

Possible que ça vienne du noyau effectivement mais pas besoin de réinstaller au démarrage tu lances grub en mode avancé et tu choisis un ancien noyau

S'il met "(EE) Failed to load module "ati" (module does not exist, 0)" c'est que le module "ati" n'est pas présent.

2 solutions :
Soit vous utilisez le module "radeon", soit vous installez le module "ati". Le nouveau noyau n'est pas celui supporté par Ubuntu 14.04 qui est le 3.13 par défaut. Vous pouvez essayer de démarrer à partir de l'ancien noyau si celui-ci est toujours présent et de supprimer le noyau 3.14 si cela résout le problème.

En fait quelque soit le noyau, quelque soit l'install (j'ai tenté de réinstaller), en live ou pas, ça ne marche pas. Si installé, écran noir au démarrage. En live, au bout de quelques minutes. Bien sûr j'ai vérifié l'iso. Parfois les modules se chargent d'autres non. Ma carte graphique a bientôt 7 ans, s’éteint de tant en tant pour cause de surchauffe. Je pense qu'on peut envisager la panne électronique. Merci à tous pour votre aide wink

NB: Pour le noyau 3.14, il m'a posé des problèmes avec mon netbook (Atom N570) car je me retrouve sans accélération graphique. Utiliser le 3.13 a permis un retour à la normale. Donc il vaut mieux rester sur le noyau par défaut en effet.

Qui dit vieille configuration, dit parfois "vieille" distribution. Sans exagérer, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS peut s'avérer une meilleure solution en lieu et place de la 14.04 LTS.
