installation de xubuntu 12.04 lts à partir d'une clé usb

Bonjour,

je souhaiterai installer xubuntu 12.04 lts sur un pc à partir d'une clé usb de 0.99Go.

les caractéristiques de ce pc sont les suivantes :
processeur intelceleron 2.4ghz
memoire vive 1500Mo
carte graphique inconnue
disque dur 40Go

sur ce pc, il y a ubuntu 11.10 d'installé je voudrais donc le remplacer par xubuntu 12.04 lts.
je possède maintenant un dvd d'installation de xubuntu http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1544161
mais je ne pourrais pas l'utiliser car ce pc n'a pas de lecteur dvd. Je voulais donc installer xubuntu 12.04 à partir d'une clé usb.
Il semble que cela soit possible avec unetbootin http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/unetbootin
si j'ai bien compris je dois telecharger unetbootin qui me permettra de graver l'image à partir de la clé usb pour installer xubuntu 12.04 lts.
Par contre il est précisé que la clé doit au minimum faire 1Go, la mienne fait un peu moins mais je sais que l'iso de xubuntu 12.04 lts fait 703Mo alors peut-il y avoir un soucis?

Pour ton ordi et vu ta RAM, prend celui là (32 bits qui économisera RAM & swap) : ftp://ftp.free.fr/mirrors/ftp.xubuntu.c … p-i386.iso
Si ça ne passe pas, utilise l'alternate : ftp://ftp.free.fr/mirrors/ftp.xubuntu.c … e-i386.iso

ok merci nam1962 j'ai deja cet iso si il correspond bien à l'iso pour xubuntu 12.04 lts.....par contre je vais telecharger l'alternate au cas où cela ne passe pas avec le premier.

Bonjour,

je relance ce sujet, j'essaye donc d'installer xubuntu 12.04 lts à partit d'une clé usb sur un pc ou est deja installé ubuntu 11.10.
j'ai pu telechargé unetbootin sur mon pc j'ai par contre une erreur de signalée : impossible de trouver le fichier p7zip-full, je suis passé par la logithèque pour installer ce logiciel de compression puis ensuite par le terminal voici les commandes que j'ai tapées mais malgré cela j'ai toujours le meme message et je ne peux redemarrer mon pc à partir de la clé :

En fait je me demande si les dépots Oneiric sont encore actifs... Là on dirait que non.

Essaie éventuellement d'installer unetbootin par là http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ après avoir purgé l'install que tu as faite.

Sinon, pour passer la première étape j'ai un truc (un peu rock : ca peut casser, mais l'ai fait avec succès deux fois sur 3)

sudo sed -i 's/oneiric/precise/g' /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Si ca passe tu seras à jour pour faire ta clef et repasser une clean install xubuntu

Merci nam1962 pour ton aide .....par contre je ne suis pas si je suis allé au bout de la dernière commande, mon pc s'est mis en veille pas moyen de le faire repartir....je l'ai donc laissé quelques heures l'ai eteint et redemarré....j'ai maintenant la version ubuntu 12.04 lts d'installé je ne sais pas si c'etait le resultat souhaité?
j'ai un problème je n'ai pas de reseau avec cette version, j'ai un message qui me dit "les services reseau du système ne sont pas compatibles avec cette version"????

Ah, peut être l'install est elle incomplète. (le but était effectivement de te faire passer à une version supportée)
Essaie un 

sudo apt-get install -f

ok j'ai tapé la commande j'ai :
E : dpkg a été interrompu il est necessaire d'utiliser sudo "dpkg - - configue a " pour corriger le problème

sudo dpkg --configure -a

j'ai tapé la commande je ne sais pas trop ce que je fais mais je te fais confiance....par contre il y en a t'il pour un moment? car je voudrais pas que mon pc se stoppe comme tout à l'heure j'ai bidouillé qqchose pour empecher cela mais suis loin d'etre sur de ma manip

la commande est allée au bout, j'ai telechargé unetbootin j'avais le meme message d'erreur "p7zip full" je suis passé par la logithèque pour telecharger p7zip, il y a une commande à taper dans le terminal pour "l'activer"?

Merci nam1962 pour ton aide.
je suis arrivé à mieux manipuler le bios mais en fait je crois que je vais laisser tomber car grace à toi j'ai ubuntu 12.04 lts et je suis donc tranquille jusqu'en avril 2017 au niveau des mises à jour.
Je croyais que ça ramerait plus avec cette version mais ça à l'air d'aller sauf l'accès à la logithèque qui est très long.
Donc encore merci hmm

La logithèque est toujours très longue.
Certes tu serais plus à  l'aise avec Xubuntu, mais à minima passe les A B C du tuto dans ma signature (pour toi le b sera le post #2)

j'ai tapé la 1ère commande du A j'ai un message d'erreur :

Ca normalement c'est que tu as soit la logithèque, soit synaptic, soit une autre instance de terminal ouverte en même temps, il faut les fermer

Maintenant, tu as tout pour installer proprement ta Xubuntu big_smile
En fait, il peut être intéressant de voir si la 14.04 fonctionne en live session. http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/relea … p-i386.iso
Si oui, tu peux l'installer, la peaufiner avec le tuto dans ma signature et être tranquille pour un bout de temps !

Merci je vais laisser sur ce pc ubuntu 12.04 un membre de ma famille a pris l'habitude d'utiliser ubuntu 11.10 et s'est donc familiarisé avec l'environnement d'ubuntu et j'ai une autre personne qui utilise un pc où il y a xubuntu 12.04 lts.
Pour ton tuto qui est super bien fait au passage, pour la version 14.04 de xubuntu il y a des choses qui ne sont pas encore à jour c'est ce que j'ai constaté sur mon pc perso (exemple : clipgrab, environnement windows,,....)

Peux tu me les dire, je vais le signaler dans le post (comme j'étais sur les versions instables, j'avais une salade de PPA incluant du saucy et maintenant suis en utopic... roll )
