Mauvaise version de grub! [ RESOLU]

Bonsoir,
J'ai fait la mise à jour de gutsy vers Hardy heron. Tout s'est bien passé, à part que comme un con, j'ai répondu:" gardez la même config de grub ".
Ce qui fait que j'ai toujours les deux lignes de Gutsy puisque j'avais commenté les autres!.
Comment retrouver ou avoir le bon fichier fichier .list.
J'ai fait sudo upgrade-grub mais c'est toujours pareil.

je comprend pas ton problême , tu souhaites installer la version de grub propre à hardy ? (pour laquelle visiblement tu as répondue non ...)

il te suffit de faire donc puisque en théorie tu as les miroirs hardy :

$ sudo apt-get -u dist-upgrade

ou

$ sudo apt-get upgrade grub

sinon précises car c'est pas trés clair wink

C'est pourtant simple: j'ai installé hardy heron et j'ai toujours  le grub de gutsy.
Tes deux commandes ne changent rien au fichier lst.

après la sauvegarde d'usage de menu.lst

sudo update-grub

devrait solutionner ton problème

salut,
Avant que tu me répondes, c'est la commande que j'ai exécuté, car c'est ça qu'il faut faire et non upgrade.
Voici le résultat:

Donc si je lis bien Hardy s'y trouve et quand j'ouvre le fichier lst, toujours pas de kernel 2.6.24-16 et au boot évidemment aussi!...
C'est quoi ce truc, sans parler de ma carte nVidia qui n'est plus reconnue!...
Le Heron est malade...en fait c'est une constante, quand on change de version ça merde!..
Pour grub, peut-être une manip, écrire le nouveau kernel...

Noyaux listés automatiquement
Le script update-grub ajoute automatiquement les noyaux lors des mises à jour d’Ubuntu. Pour cela il utilise les paramètres listé entre les lignes ### BEGIN AUTOMAGIC KERNELS LIST et ### END AUTOMAGIC KERNELS LIST.

Est-ce que tu trouves les noyaux du héron entre les balises BEGIN et END ?
PS : en ce qui concerne les changements de version, je ne les fais qu'après deux ou trois mois, afin qu'elle soit moins "séche"

oui ben il n'y a aucun rapport entre le menu.lst et le fait que la version de grub de ton système soit celle de gutsy , et non celle de hardy.

le menu.lst est un fichier de configuration de grub lui permettant de structurer le menu qu'il t'affiche à son lancement (la phase de choix de l'os sur lequel tu va booter) d'un part , et lui donne les informations concernant ta partition système ainsi que la partition sur laquelle il va trouver le noyaux d'autre part (y compris la cmdline pour le noyaux, c'est à dire les options de boot que tu veux passer à ce denier par exemple vga=795).

il faut donc mettre à jour cette version de grub qui visiblement n'est pas la bonne, pourrais tu me donner le contenu de ton sources.list
:

$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list

ainsi que ton fichier preferences (si tu en as un), pour voir si tu n'as pas un soucis de priorité de dépot (le problême pourrait venir de là on sait jamais).

$ cat /etc/apt/preferences

de plus retournes moi stp le retour de la commande :

$ apt-cache showpkg linux-image

pour voir si apt capte bien la version de hardy concernant linux-image (image du noyaux linux + initramfs).

la version de grub ne change pas de gutsy à hardy, çà reste grub 0.97 à savoir plus en détails:

celle de hardy inclut plus de patch de correction de certains bugs ou amélioration tout simplement mais comme tu peux le voir çà reste grub 0.97. (çà reste un pseudo problême il vaut mieux se focaliser sur le noyau d'abord)

concernant le noyau pourrais tu me lister ton menu.lst ainsi que le contenu de ton dossier /boot stp.

rajoutes dans ton menu.lst ceci :

puis sauvegarde , et redémarre , çà devrait mieux marcher (tu devrai en théorie voir une entrée ubuntu 8.04 et démarrer sur ton nouveau noyau) wink

Bon, j'ai rajouté, ça s'est affiché au boot...
est-ce que j'ai vraiment démarré Hardy? il me faudrait la ligne " recovery mode " , ça peut servir!
J'ai quelques messages d'erreur et je n'ai pas d'effets visuels et l'onglet "résolution de l'écran a un problème. message d'erreur et mon fichier sources list n'est pas bon...
Déja merci, ça fait un peu mieux...

non mais tu avais dejà démarré hardy , linux c'est juste le noyau tu sais, la distribution qu'est ubuntu c'est le système c'est à dire les programmes qui gravitent autour du noyau et qui font que le système est utilisable car un noyau tout seul c'est un juste le support matériel et le contrôle des périphériques .

le rescue mode ou recovery mode comme tu veux il te suffit de rajouter exactement la même chose que je t'ai passé mais avec en option noyau "single" avec ou sans quiet à toi de voir. (avec ou sans les messages noyaux).

concernant l'usplash (la barre de progression ubuntu) essayes un :

$ sudo update-initramfs -u

puis reboot.


ton fichier sources.list est tout à fait correct puisqu'aprés une mise à jour gutsy -> hardy il contient les dépots hardy en question , preuve que c'est cohérent...

c'est plutot ton fichier /etc/apt/preferences qui ne l'est pas car tout tes dépots (y compris hardy-backports) sont en 500 de Pin-Priority  (fais un apt-cache policy tu verras).

donc renseignes toi sur le principe du fichier preferences et modifis le tiens en conséquence.

pour le dépot medibuntu il existe dejà la branch pour hardy, donc tu as juste à remplacer gutsy par hardy. je te donne le mien (ATTENTION ne copis surtout pas le mien dans le tiens çà ne te servirait à rien et çà ne marcherait pas).

serts t'en en tant qu'exemple et regardes sur internet, car sinon tu comprendra pas (et aprés tu sera faire):

Re : Mauvaise version de grub! [ RESOLU]

Apparemment on a pas du tout le même fichier sources list. Hier soir, j'avais déja remplacéGutsy par Hardy. Dés que le site sera rétabli, j'irais faire automatiquement un nouveau fichier.
Je te remercie pour ton aide suivie.
Je vais créer un autre post pour mon problème de carte nVidia.
