Installation Ubuntu 14.04 sur Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro

Bonjour,
J'ai récemment acquis un Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, seulement je ne peux pas supporter ce #~"^{&²# de Windows 8, donc je souhaite repasser sur Ubuntu, la dernière LTS. Je n'ai aucun problème avec la clé usb bootable, par contre, lors de l'installation, je suis confronté à un problème: Lenovo a partitionné n'importe comment, enfin il y a une "vraie" partition, avec dedans 7 partitions virtuelles, et je ne sais pas lesquelles je pourrais garder ou effacer.
Je souhaiterais garder la partition de backup pour un retour vers Windows 8 pour une revente, mais je ne sais pas à quoi servent les autres...

Depuis une session live USB, je te prie de faire un Boot-Info en suivant cette procédure simplifiée : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p16690381
Tu posteras l'URL du Boot-Info dans ta réponse. Au vu de ce Boot-Info,  je pourrai te préciser laquelle des partitions est ton disque C: de Windows 8 que tu pourras supprimer si c'est vraiment ce que tu veux faire.
Une solution plus efficace à mon goût que ton projet (si je l'ai bien compris), ce serait de faire une image disque de ton disque actuel (tuto avec Clonezilla), ce qui te permettrait de virer toutes les partitions Windows (y compris la partition de backup) et le jour où tu revends ou que tu donnes ton ordi à quelqu'un, tu restaures le disque dur dans son état actuel.
Autre solution (ma préférée) : conserver Windows 8 et installer Ubuntu en dual-boot avec Windows 8. D'expérience, c'est toujours utile d'avoir un Windows dans son ordi, même si on ne s'en sert que rarement.

Si je prends cette solution, serai-je obligé d'avoir un disque de 521Go (la taille du SSD interne) ou alors pourais-je me débrouiller pour réduire la sauvegarde?
Cette dernière solution m'intéresse aussi... Combien de Go demandera la partition Windows?

En négligeant les petites partitions et en ne prenant en compte que les partitions sda5, sda6 et sda7, tu as actuellement :
29G + 3.5G + 12G = 45 Go occupés réellement sur l'ensemble de ton SSD. Si tu fais une image disque avec Clonezilla suivant ce tuto, tu vas obtenir une image dont la taille sera inférieure à 40 Go donc il suffit que tu aies de la place sur un disque dur externe pour accueillir cette image de taille modeste et tu peux être serein pour ton install en dual-boot : si ça se passe mal ou que tu fais des conneries ou les deux, tu pourras retrouver ton ordi dans son état d'aujourd'hui. Il faudra utiliser la version alternative (*) de Clonezilla la plus récente pour avoir la meilleure prise en charge de ton ordi : http://clonezilla.org/downloads/downloa … ve_testing (aujourdui, je vois qu'il existe une version "20140812-trusty" donc c'est du produit frais, il faut prendre en 64 bits)

Est-ce que n'as pas rencontré les anomalies qu'il décrit lors de tes essais en session live de Ubuntu 14.04.1 ?

(*) je conseille toujours de prendre la version la plus fraîche mais il arrive que ça foire alors que le version stable de Clonezilla fonctionne bien comme expliqué par Major Grubert dans ce post #1 de son fil "[En cours] Mon installation d'Ubuntu en dualboot sur un Lenovo Yoga 13" (c'est à "Étape 2 : Cloner son disque dur avant toute modification à l'aide de Clonezilla")

pour l'image de restauration de w8, pas la peine d'essayer de deviner laquelle c'est dans ce foutu foutoir :
tu lances w8, et tu utilises les outils de lenovo pour graver les fameux disques de restauration w8 : qqchose comme 5 ou 6 dvd ...

oui mais l'inconvenient de cette procedure est que quand il voudra remettre w8, il devra a nouveau refaire (clone) remettre la partition de restauration exactement la ou elle est ... sinon la procedure automatique de restauration imposee par l'oem ne fonctionnera pas ... d'ou l'interet de faire les dvd, d'ailleurs fortement recommande par l'oem et par microsoft ! ...

J'ai démarré Clonzilla en live USB, lancé l'utilitaire en me logant en 'user' et en tapant dans la console "sudo clonezilla" (ça ne s'est pas lancé tout seul après l'écran de démarrage), puis après j'ai suivi les consignes, donc je pense que c'est ce que tu conseillais si je ne me trompe pas!

J'avais précisé dans le tuto d'utiliser une liveUSB Clonezilla et j'avais donné quelques indications pour faire cela avec LiLi. Là, je crois comprendre que tu as utilisé ta live liveUSB Ubuntu 14.04.1 et que tu as installé Clonezilla depuis une session live de Ubuntu 14.04.1 et que tu l'as lancé depuis cette même session live. C'est ce qu'il faut comprendre ?

si tu sauves uniquement la partition de restauration sans inclure les infos de son positionnement d'origine (ce que ferait en fait un clonezilla en clonant le disque et non la partition), la restauration ulterieure ne saura pas remettre la partition la ou le mecanisme de restauration de l'oem s'attend a l'y voir ...

d'ou les dvd qui t'affranchiraient de cette restriction (propre a tous les oem, depuis qu'ils ne fournissent plus les supports de reinstall, les pingres ...)

Je suis surpris par la taille que tu as trouvée (23,3 Go) : je pensais que ce serait aux alentours de 30 Go mais ça doit être correct.

Salut,

Une petite remarque en passant. J5012 n'a pas tort de conseiller de fabriquer les DVD (ou l'USB) de réparation, car Lenovo propose une procédure spéciale (comme Sony) permettant de booter en cas de panne avec un bouton spécial appelé "one key button". Ce doit être la partition sda1 (couplé avec winre) qui contient cela (ou peut-être sda6). Mais ces partitions étant en NTFS, il faut un lanceur qui est probablement dans la partition efi, et donc, il vaut mieux en conserver une copie aussi. En cas de problème, si on n'a pas sauvegardé cette partition spéciale avec Clonezilla, on aura du mal à la recréer, d'autant qu'il faudra qu'elle retrouve la même place qu'au départ. Par ailleurs, avec W8 et les pc préinstallés, je conseille toujours d'avoir plusieurs cordes à son arc, ne serait-ce que pour assurer la pérennité de la garantie.

PS. Perso, 23 Go pour tout le disque (recovery compris), ça me semble suspect, même avec compression.Ca fait quasi du 50 % de la contenance initiale...

@Spirine : si ikewdu pense aussi que ton image disque est suspecte, ça fait peur là. Je te recommande de garder au chaud cette image (elle est peut-être bonne malgré tout) mais de bétonner avec un autre moyen de restauration pour avoir deux cordes à ton arc. Interroge le support Lenovo pour savoir comment faire si tu ne trouves pas les infos. Ce qu'il faut c'est une restauration qui utilise entièrement un ou des supports externes - des DVD ou une clé USB bootable de grande capacité - sans utiliser la partition recovery (ta partition dont le label est "PBR_DRV").
