[resolu] upgrade 12.04 -> 14.04
Bonjour,
alors voila, aprés quelques jours de reflexion je me suis dit que j'allais migrer vers la nouvelle version LTS.
Je l'ai donc fait via le gestionnaire de mise a jours.
Tout s'est visiblement bien passé (pour ce que j'en ai vu parce que je suis pas resté les 5h devant mon poste) et quand j'ai voulu redemarrer l'ordi aprés la maj bin la nouvelle version ne marche pas.
Pour être exacte ubuntu se lance (j'ai bien le "Ubuntu 14.04" d'afficher avec les petits points qui avance ) puis arrive la page avec le prompt mais ca s'arrete la.
J'ai donc essayé de passer par le mode debugg ou il m'affiche plein de message d'erreur mais j'ai pas le temps de les lire, et même en mode dégradé ca marche pas.
Par la console en mode root j'ai essayé de faire un
- apt-get update : mais sans le reseau impossible de joindre les dépots
- apt-get upgrade il me dit qu'il peut pas (il n'accede pas a des fichiers pour dpkg).
Je me suis dit que c'est peut-être des programmes qui se lancaient au démarrage, j'avais cairo par exemple dans la version précédente qui fait tout begguer mais je ne sais pas comment les virer.
Du coup je ne sais plus du tout comment faire, si quelqu'un a une idée
Ps je suis sur l'ordi avec une vieille version d'ubuntu (la 10.04) grace a laquelle j'arrive a faire quelques truc et a accéder au réseau. J'ai pu donc faire un dvd de la 14.04 au cas ou il me faudrait réinstaller.
Ps2 : j'avais eu il n'y a pas longtemps un problème avec une mise a jours sous la 12.04 et j'avais du remettre des paquets manuellement. J'avais donc peut-etre pas une version hyper stable ubuntu avant.

As-tu un support live de Ubuntu 14.04.1 ? Si tu n'en as pas, fais-toi une liveUSB depuis Windows : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p16713311
Fais un essai en session live pour vérifier si tout baigne et en particulier, vérifie que tu as bien l'accès à internet.

Bonjour malbo,
Comme je le disais, mais peut-être pas clairement (désolé), j'ai une version 10.04 a partir de laquelle j'ai pu faire le CD d'install, au cas ou il faudrait tout ré-installer. J'ai donc quand même essayé de lancer le live-cd pour voir s'il ne me proposait pas une réparration. Mais je n'ai rien trouvé.

Si tu as le DVD d'install de Ubuntu 14.04 (c'est un DVD, pas un CD vu la taille du fichier ISO qui dépasse la capacité d'un CD), peux-tu faire une session live en démarrant ton ordi sur ce liveDVD et faire un Boot-Info en suivant cette procédure simplifiée : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p16690381

Je pense qu'il faudrait réinstaller suivant la Méthode 1 de cette doc : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/reinstallation_ubuntu
Au cours de l'installation, s'il t'est proposé de garder la version de Grub, tu ne gardes pas ; tu prends la version du responsable du paquet. Tes réglages de Grub sentent le bricolage : il vaut mieux laisser Grub s'installer proprement.

arf, je me doutais un peu que j'aurais ca comme réponse.
Ce que je m'explique pas c'est pourquoi la 14.04 se lance mais bloque au démarrage (juste avant de passer en mode graphique).
N'y a-t-il pas un moyen d'accéder au journaux de demarrage pour voir les erreurs qu'il trouve et sur quel programme il plante ?
parce que lors de ma dernière maj problèmatique j'ai le souvenir qu'il plantait sur "Pulse audio" et que je l'avait désinstaller pour mettre a la place Alsa_tray.(pour info le sujet précédent est ici )
Je me demande donc si y a pas un programme comme ca qui tourne en boucle.

Au temps pour moi : ton Grub n'est pas bricolé mais ce qui est anormal pour moi, c'est que dans la grub.cfg de sda1 (partie "sda1/boot/grub/grub.cfg" du Boot-Info, après "### BEGIN /etc/grub.d/10_linux ###"), on trouve une entrée Ubuntu qui pointe sur boot/vmlinuz-3.2.0-24-generic de la partition sda1.
Et que dans le grub.cfg de sda6 - qui est détecté comme étant la partition racine d'une install de Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS - dans la partie "sda6/boot/grub/grub.cfg" du Boot-Info, après "### BEGIN /etc/grub.d/10_linux ###", on trouve une entrée "Ubuntu, avec Linux 3.2.0-24-generic (on /dev/sda1)" qui pointe sur ce même boot/vmlinuz-3.2.0-24-generic de la partition sda1.
En fait, c'est le grub.cfg de sda6 que je trouve anormal. D'ailleurs je ne sais pas pourquoi tu conserves cette Ubuntu 10.04.4 qui est obsolète.

Bonjour,
a vrai dire c'est le grub de la partition sda6 qui s'ouvre au lancement de l'ordi et c'est l'entrée "Ubuntu, avec Linux 3.2.0-24-generic (on /dev/sda1)" qui me permettait de lancer ubuntu 12.04 et qui maintenant me permet de lancer la 14.04 qui plante.
J'ai bien conscience que ce nom n'est pas correct mais comme il marchait, j'ai jamais cherché a le modifier.
Pour ce qui est de concerver la 10.04 c'est parce que lors du passage de la 10.04 a la 12.04 j'avais lu qu'il y avait pas mal de bug et que j'avais pas envie de tout perdre. J'ai donc installé les 2 en parrallèle. Maintenant elle me sert quand la partition principale plante (comme par exemple maintenant).

Est-ce que tu te rends compte que le Grub de ton install 10.04 n'est pas forcément capable de gérer le dual-boot avec une version plus récente de Ubuntu ? Ce n'est pas parce que ça fonctionnouille sur 3 pattes que c'est correct. Tu ne dois pas utiliser ce Grub de la 10.04 : c'est le Grub de la version la plus récente qui doit gérer le multi-boot.

bin, c'est pas que je veux pas, c'est que j'avais un peu peur de peter le grub si je commencais a le modifier.
Donc j'ai préféré 3 pattes plutot qu'aucune
Maintenant s'il y a un moyen pour faire un grub propre je suis bien évidemment preneur!
Même si j'ai conscience que ca ne corrigera pas pour autant mon problème.
Pour info Je suis en train de faire une sauvegarde de mon ancien home avant de lancer la ré-installation cette aprem'. Faut-il que je refasse mon grub avant ? si oui, pourrais-tu m'aider a le faire?

Tu n'as rien à faire pour Grub avant l'installation. Ce que tu as à faire s'agissant de Grub, c'est laisser faire l’installateur de Ubuntu comme je t'ai écrit plus haut :
Je pense qu'il faudrait réinstaller suivant la Méthode 1 de cette doc : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/reinstallation_ubuntu
Au cours de l'installation, s'il t'est proposé de garder la version de Grub, tu ne gardes pas ; tu prends la version du responsable du paquet. Tes réglages de Grub sentent le bricolage : il vaut mieux laisser Grub s'installer proprement.

bonsoir et merci malbo pour ton assistance.
J'ai donc tout ré-installé, mon ordi marche bien et le grub est refait.
Je vais donc mettre résolu.
