problème suite migration vers 14.04

bonjour
j'ai un ordi portable HP probook4710s sur lequel je viens de faire la mise à jour pour la version Ubuntu 14.04.
depuis j'ai les problèmes suivants:
toutes les icônes du lanceur sont couvertes de "mosaïques blanches" mais sont actives
l’icône du tableau de bord s'ouvre sur une fenêtre totalement illisible et instable
lorsque j'ouvre le terminal, il est totalement inactif et impossible d'y écrire
PS: je suis novice et débutant en informatique

Bonjour,

Peux-tu repasser sous la console avec la combinaison suivante: ctrl+alt+F1 ?
Si Oui, log toi et tente mise à jour des paquets sudo apt-get update et mise à jour système sudo apt-get upgrade et redémarres.

Pense à mettre les commandes entre balises Code ce qui les différencie du commentaire, merci.
Comme :

Ctrl + Alt + F1

Puis :

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

PS :
Important :
Lorsque tu colles des retours de commandes (invite de commande + commande + retour de commande + invite de commande), le contenu d'un fichier de configuration ou le contenu d'un fichier dépassant une dizaine de lignes (log, sources.list, xorg.conf, etc...), tu dois les mettre entre balises Code (les <> bleus de la barre de mise en forme) comme indiqué ICI et LÀ.

bonjour
j'ai fait Ctrl+Alt+F1 et là j'arrive bien sur une sorte de terminal plein écran
à ce moment j'ai eu un petit souci car il m'est demandé mon login et mon password
et j'ai dû réessayer une bonne dizaine de fois le login car j'avais régulièrement le message
"login incorrect"! pourtant c'est juste mon prénom et je ne l'ai jamais changé.
bref, j'ai lancé ensuite comme proposé les deux commandes
"sudo apt-get update"
et ensuite "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade"
puis "sudo reboot"
et en fait cette maoeuvre n'a rien changé à mon problème initial.

Là ça sent le pâté. Je te prie de faire un Boot-Info depuis une session live de Ubuntu 14.04.1 en suivant cette procédure simplifiée : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p16690381
Ne clique PAS sur "Recommanded repair" ; contente-toi de cliquer sur "Create a BootInfo summary". Tu colleras l'URL de ton Boot-Info dans ta réponse.

voulez-vous dire que je dois faire un Boot-Info à partir d'une session installée sur un CD ou clé USB
et non du système Ubuntu installé sur l'ordinateur.
excusez si je pose une question stupide mais je suis totalement novice sur toutes ces questions.

La question n'est pas stupide. J'imaginais que le Boot-Info ne pouvait pas être fait depuis Ubuntu installé à cause de tes problèmes mais si tu arrives à le faire comme ça, fais-le. Sinon, tu le fais depuis une session live.

j'ai fait un dvd avec une session ubuntu 14.04 et j'ai pu lancer une Boot Info

C'est immonde comme installation : je n'ai pas envie de t'aider à réparer ça. Je te suggère de sauvegarder sur disque dur externe les doc précieux que tu peux avoir sur le disque dur. Quand ce sera fait, je te suggère de faire une installation toute neuve de Ubuntu 14.04.1 en écrasant tout ce qu'il y a sur ton disque dur pour faire du tout neuf.

Salut didier-co moi c'est didier alias etouan,

J'ai exactement le même problème que toi sur mon portable Toshiba satellite pro P300. Tu va te sentir moins seul. Ça vient peut être de notre prénom ce blème. Je ne vous cache pas que je suis fort embarrassé par la dernière réponse même si je remercie Malbo pour le temps consacré. Personnellement ma version 12 marchait très bien et je n'ai rien fait de particulier quand j'ai fais la mise à jour à part appuyer sur le bouton mise à jour.

Dans mon menu Grub au démarrage j'ai repéré une anomalie : sur toutes les versions d'Ubuntu qu'il me propose c'est la version 12.04 qui apparait. Celle d'avant. Par contre quand je la lance, je tombe sur la 14.04. En tout cas c'est ce qu'il y a marqué à un moment en bas à gauche de l'écran puis dans Parametre Systeme.
Par contre désolé mais je n'ai pas pu faire la manoeuvre dans la console : il prend bien mon login mais impossible de rentrer un mot de passe du coup je ne peux pas coller les deux lignes de commande que vous proposez.
