Désinstallation automatique de Grub
Bonsoir à tous,
Depuis plusieurs semaines, Grub se désinstalle tout seul ; au démarrage, un écran noir affiche le mot "grub : >" Je suis obligé de réinstaller Ubuntu (14.04 LTS) puisque que Boot repair ne me permet pas de réinstaller Grub mais me propose uniquement de restaurer le MBR.
Ce problème a débuté avec Ubuntu 12.10 ; j'ai donc mis à jour vers la 14.04 LTS ce qui n'a pas résolu le problème.
Ce PC (desktop) est assez récent, a l'UEFI et est en dual boot avec Windows 7.
Pour l'instant, je n'ai pas accès au PC pour donner plus d'informations, par contre, je voulais, savoir si ce problème est connu et s'il y a des solutions pour y remédier.

Peux-tu démarrer une session de ton Ubuntu installé et faire un Boot-Info en suivant cette procédure simplifiée : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p16690381
Tu donneras l'URL du Boot-Info dans ta réponse.
D'autre part, pourrais-tu préciser le nom complet du modèle de ton ordi et son fabricant ?

Je ne sais pas voir (mais peut-être qu'on ne peut pas le voir) d'anomalie dans ce Boot-Info qui pourrait expliquer ton problème. Il y a cependant quelque chose qui m'intrigue : tu as fait ce Boot-Info depuis une session de ton Ubuntu installé et c'est bien ce que je t'avais demandé. Sauf que tu as laissé connectée une clé USB Verbatim STORE N GO de 8Go et je suppose qu'il s'agit de la liveUSB Ubuntu 14.04.1 64 bits qui t'a permis de faire l'installation. Pourrais-tu refaire un Boot-Info mais cette fois en démarrant l'ordi sur la liveUSB c'est à dire en session live ? (tu pourras suivre la même procédure simplifiée)

Oui, c'est bien la clé qui m'a permis d'installer Ubuntu.
Dès que j'ai de nouveau accès au PC, je te fournis le Boot-Info depuis une session live.
Sinon, est-ce que le fait de passer de Windows à Ubuntu (et inversement) uniquement en redémarrant le PC (sans l'arrêter) peut causer ce genre de problème ?

Dans le passé, il y a eu ce genre de problème qui était dû à certains logiciels utilisés par Windows (voir Bug #44194) mais le symptôme n'était pas le même que le tien : toi tu vois "grub : >" au démarrage ce qui veut dire que le chargeur d'amorçage de Grub est fonctionnel alors que dans dans le rapport de bug que je cite, le chargeur d'amorçage étant écrasé ou endommagé, les victimes ne pouvaient pas voir "grub : >" au démarrage.
Dans ton cas, je ne comprends pas ce qui se passe.

Là, on ne voit que deux lecteurs : le disque dur de 1 To et la liveUSB.
Est-ce que tu as une idée de ce que pourrait être ce lecteur de 16 Go ? (il est à noter qu'il n'y a aucune trace de ce lecteur 16 Go dans le Boot-Info précédent, celui que j'ai collé dans le post #4)
EDIT : dans la partie ""blkid" output" du Boot-Info, on voit cette ligne :
/dev/sdd2 9356-DE1D vfat PIERRE_USB
ça signifie que la plus grosse des deux partitions qui se trouvent sur ce lecteur fantôme de 16 Go porte le label "PIERRE_USB". ça devrait te dire quelque chose....

Les 16 Go correspondent à une autre clé USB que j'ai laissée branchée.
J'ai donc refait un Boot-Info, sans cette clé, qui est disponible ici.

Décidément, je ne vois pas ce qui pourrait expliquer ton problème. J'ai quand même un conseil à te donner : quand tu retrouveras ce problème, commence par débrancher toutes les clés USB et autres disque durs externes et redémarre l'ordi pour vérifier si le pb est toujours là.
