[Résolu] [Dual boot W8/Ubuntu] : boot failure

Bonjour,

Je souhaite avoir deux Os (W8 préinstallé et mettre Ubuntu) sur mon PC (Acer Aspire V3-772G).
J'ai suivit les indications de ce tuto. J'ai aussi regardé les solutions présentées dans la sous partie Acer Aspire VXXX.
j'ai donc fait cela :

  • sur le pc :

    1. Désactiver "Secure Boot" dans UEFI,

    2. Désactiver le fast boot dans windows.

  • sur ma clé usb :

    1. Changer la table de partitionnement MBR -> GPT (via diskpart),

    2. J'ai mis la version Ubuntu compatible avec UEFI (via LinuxLive usb creator).

Seulement, mon pc ne peut boot sur ma clé (seul mon disque dur peut être sélectionné quand j’appuie sur F12 au démarrage).
Si j'essaie de le faire fonctionner Ubuntu via la virtualisation je reçois cette erreur : "Fatal int18 : boot failure".
En utilisant la fonction, recherche je n'ai trouvé personne ayant eu le même soucis ..

Si quelqu'un pouvez m'orienter vers une solution, d'avance merci smile

Ton erreur est là... la clé doit être formatée en fat32, mais en mbr... Le passage de la clé en uefi impose une partition efi (que tu n'as pas) et des fichiers efi pour démarrer (tu ne les as pas non plus);

Si j'ai bien compris les liens, si on a un UEFI en GPT, on est obligé de mettre une table de partition en GPT et formater en Fat32.

Non ! La clé doit être au format MBR, mais formatée en fat32.

J'ai mis une table de partitionnement MBR et de nouveau en format FAT 32. Je reçois cette erreur : E_FAIL (0x80004005) quand j'essaye de faire marcher Ubuntu via la VirtialBox.
C'est la première fois que je n'arrive pas à faire démarrer une simple session live ou via la VirtialBox :s.

Oui, c'est ce qu'installe LinuxLive usb creator sur la clé usb pour la transformé en clé Bootable et lui permettre de faire marcher un OS via une virtualisation.
Sur d'autre pc, j'ai réussi à le faire fonctionner correctement, mais sur mon pc, c'est impossible.

Essaie une autre clé et une autre version Linux. Quoi qu'il en soit, le clé doit bel et bien être au format mbr, et non gpt. Et si le bios te propose cette option, essaie de lancer directement le fichier efi/boot/bootx64.efi ... Théoriquement, la clé doit se lancer.

Laisse tomber VirtualBox pour l'instant : si ton but est d'installer Ubuntu en mode EFI sur ton Acer Aspire V3-772G, essaie de démarrer en réel (et pas en virtualisation) sur ta liveUSB en sélectionnant "Essayer Ubuntu" (pas d'installation). Si ça ne marche pas, refais une liveUSB avec une autre clé USB (parfois ça ne veut pas du tout marcher avec une certaine clé) en suivant cette procédure : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p16713311

EDIT : si tu parviens à démarrer sur ta liveUSB, vérifie que ta session live est bien démarrée en mode EFI en passant la commande suivante (issue de la doc) :

Ces deux options : "Cocher les fichiers sur la clé" et "Permettre de lancer LinuxLive directement sous Windows".

La commande "[ -d /sys/firmware/efi ] && echo "Session EFI" || echo "Session non-EFI" " me dit que Ubuntu se lance bien en EFI. Toutefois, lors de l'installation, Ubuntu veut démonter les tables de partition et il n'y arrive pas.  Pourtant, la partition Windows Efi est bien reconnu par Ubuntu.

Peux-tu démarrer ton ordi sur ta liveUSB en session live (choix "Try Ubuntu without installing") et faire un Boot-Info en suivant cette procédure simplifiée : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p16690381
Tu donneras l'URL du Boot-Info dans ta réponse.

EDIT : merci pour ta précision sur les options. Moi je ne sais pas pourquoi ces options peuvent être néfastes mais ce que je sais c'est qu'il faut faire le plus dépouillé possible - pour éviter les bugs - quand on fait une liveUSB, c'est pourquoi j'ai bien précisé dans ma recette de ne pas prendre d'options.

J'avais suivi uniquement les conseils donnés sur le site de LinuxLive Usb creator. Pensant que c'était un logiciel très simple et que les options ne pouvaient rien faire de mal yikes. En voulant faire simple, j'ai perdu plusieurs heures sad.

Avant de venir sur ce forum, j'avais suivi un autre tuto (je ne retrouve pas le lien pour le moment hmm, si je le retrouve, j'éditerais ce message). Ce tuto précisait qu'Ubuntu n'était pas capable de gérer des partitions formatées en NFTS s'il fonctionne en EFI. Il fallait donc ne pas formater l'espace disque (laisser l'espace disque en non alloué) qui allait servir à installation d'Ubuntu. Apparemment, cela semble faux .. et mon problème lors de l'installation vient de là. Une fois que j'ai formaté mes partitions en NFTS, j'ai pu installer Ubuntu.

Pour le moment, cela fonctionne. Je ne suis pas sur que faire un rapport Boot-Info soit nécessaire dans ce cas. Si l'installation a fonctionné, Ubuntu ne vas pas planter après, non ? hmm

Tu donnera l'URL du Boot-Info dans ta réponse : comme ça, on pourra vérifier dans ce Boot-Info que tout est installé correctement parce que ton histoire des partitions NTFS est un peu étrange...

(*) c'est la même procédure qui est à utiliser, que ce soit depuis une session live ou que ce soit depuis une session du Ubuntu installé.

C'est une installation non-conventionnelle parce que Ubuntu est installé en mode EFI mais la partition racine (sda2) est sur un disque dur avec table de partition MSDOS. D'habitude, quand Ubuntu est installé en EFI, la partition racine est sur un disque dur (ou un SSD) avec table de partition GPT. Toutefois, j'ai déjà vu quelques installations comme ça et je pense que c'est correct.

On y voit que la priorité de démarrage est sur ubuntu. Peux-tu confirmer que ça fonctionne bien comme ça et que si tu laisses l'ordi démarrer tout seul sans intervenir avec la touche F12, le démarrage par défaut se fait bien sur le menu Grub ?

J'ai changé l ordre de boot dans l'EFI. Il démarre sur le disque dur contenant Ubuntu. L'ordinateur démarre donc sur le Grub.

Ce que tu écris n'est pas exact : le disque dur qui contient la partition racine de Ubuntu est la disque sda. Le démarrage ne se fait pas sur ce disque mais sur le fichier /EFI/ubuntu/shimx64.efi de sdb2. C'est l'entrée qui apparaît sous la désignation "ubuntu" dans ton UEFI :

Le boot se fait donc bien sur le disque sdb et non pas sur le disque sda.
