Voila je souhaite installer ubuntu 14.04 en parallèle avec Windows 8.1
En partitionnant mon disque avec windows (15go ntfs) est-je fait une connerie?

Bonjour,

Je ne dis pas que tu as fait une connerie mais 15 Go pour Ubuntu c'est un peu court à mon idée.

Je réserve au moins 20 Go pour Ubuntu rien que pour la racine. La racine + le home, prend au moins 50 Go (à vue de nez bien sûr).

OS: Ubuntu 22.04 64 bits + Windows 11 64 bits en dualboot (BIOS UEFI, Secure Boot activé et table de partitions GPT)
PC portable HP 17-CP0308NF   Processeur: AMD Ryzen 7 5700U avec carte graphique AMD Lucienne intégrée au processeur.   Mémoire vive: 16 Go RAM
Quand vous ne trouvez pas la solution à un problème, cherchez des pistes menant à la solution !

Oh pardon, je voulais dire 200Go ntfs avec l'aide de ce tuto "Repartitionner un disque déjà équipé d'un système d'exploitation"

Réduit la partition de Windows via le gestionnaire de disque de Windows.

Et après, tu installeras Ubuntu dans l'espace non alloué.

Chose faite, j'ai partitionner c:/ et créer une partition g:/ que j'ai nommé ubuntu

Je me permets d'intervenir car la démarche que tu fais n'est pas très bonne.
il existe des tuto pour installer ubuntu sur un disque  avec windows 8 pé-installé
Ils sont maintenant assez bien faits bien que très toufus

Je rappelle brièvement ce que tu dois faire en théorie:
Pour installer ubuntu, il faut seulement de l'espace disque disponible.
La façon la plus classique de l'obtenir est de lancer windows et demander à son éditeur de partition d'en libérer.
Dans l'ensemble, il en libère pas mal, si c'est insuffisant, aussi bizarre que cela paraisse, il faut défragmenter.
Si tu n'as pas de données personnelles, on  peut rétrécir jusqu'à avoir un windows de moins de 50 Go.  (Personnellement je l'ai fais).
Puis tu dois obligatoirement installer ubuntu par l'option 4 "autre chose", cela t'a été dit
sinon tu détruis tout le disque donc windows.
Puis pendant cette installation, tu vas choisir de créer une partition / en prenant dans l'espace disponible directement.
Les puristes disent qu'on doit créer une partition Swap en prenant dans l'espace disponible. (Personnellement je ne l'ai pas créée. Je n'hibernerais pas non plus).
   Certains disent qu'on peut créer une partition d' échange pour windows, Ce n'est pas nécessaire bien que je l'ai fait.
  Il n'y a surtout pas lieu de créer une partition /boot. L'installateur retrouve la partition /boot/efi qui existe déjà pour lancer windows .
   Cependant si tu veux écrire directement dans windows, celui-doit être arrêté très proprement et ne pas être mis en veille ni en hibernation de plus il faut impérativement que le fastboot du bios soit désactivé sinon la partition contenant windows n'est pas montée dans ubuntu. Cela peut être un avantage,  Cela protège windows mais alors la partition d'échange windows est quasi obligatoire.

PS. Si  tu as des incidents, tu seras peut-être tenté d'utiliser boot-repair pour rectifier. Ne jamais faire cela.
Mais l'utilisation de boot-repair est recommandée pour faire un état des lieux.

Deplus le bios dans le tuto (Accueil» Forum » Wubi : installation dans Window » Installation Ubuntu en Dual Boot sur Windows 8 UEFI) est le même que le mien

Bonjour Malbo,
Dans mon post #12:http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1689881, j'ai annoncer que j'allais refaire un sujet avant installation dual-boot W8.1/ubuntu bref comme je changeais de  méthodes avec le dual-boot, il ne m'a pas sembler important de redire que j'avais déjà tenté ubuntu seul sur ma bécanne.
A l'heure actelle, comme un amis informaticien a tenté de récupérer ce qu'il pouvais c-à-d rien à cause des nombreuses  réécriture sur le disque lors de mes premières tentatives d'installation de ubuntu 14.04 lts, ensuite formater pour reinstaller W8.1, il n'y a plus de ubuntu
Boot repair quand même? ok mais ce soir la retourne au taf sinon la méthode ttrouver sur le forum (bougron) est correcte non?

J'ai bien compris que tu t’apprêtais à installer Ubuntu mais justement je voulais voir s'il n'y avait pas d'anomalie avant install. Donc oui, je souhaiterais voir le Boot-Info.

Je n'ai plus de disque dur pour faire une sauvegarde de l'image du système windows 8.1 (40Go) mais ais pu faire une clé usb bootable de réparation de windows.
Je peu me lancer quand même

Je me fais une clée avec boot-repair dessus via Unetbootin mais cela est grave long encore 21mins juste pour le telechargement du fichier .iso

On voit que la partition dont le label est ubuntu (dont tu parles dans ton poste #5) a une taille qui correspond à la place que tu veux allouer à Ubuntu. Dans le cas d'une cohabitation avec Windows 8.1, cette configuration n'est pas adaptée. En effet, il est conseillé d'utiliser une Partition de partage de données avec Windows et du coup, la place à réserver pour Ubuntu, c'est juste 20 Go pour la partition racine et 5 Go pour la swap et aucune partition /home puisque les documents sont stockés dans la Partition de partage de données avec Windows. Avec Gparted lancé depuis une session live de Ubuntu, je te conseille de supprimer les partitions actuelles sda5 et sda6 et de refaire à la place le partitionnement suivant :
- une partition en EXT4 de 20 Go destinée à devenir la racine de Ubuntu
- une partition SWAP de 5 Go
- une partition en NTFS qui occupe tout le reste de la place disponible destinée à devenir la Partition de partage de données avec Windows. Ce serait utile que tu lui donne tout de suite le label "DATA" pour faciliter son utilisation future.

Salut malbo,
Me revoilà de retour après 1 mois d’absence professionnel, enthousiaste à l'idée de voir fonctionner ubuntu. Que ne-ni, je rencontre un nouveau problème : GPARTED refuse de fonctionner via une session live de ubuntu.
Voici la réponse quand je veux le lancer via la "méthode commande" (ctrl+alt+t) : (gpartedbin:9104): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:
Que puis-je faire pour résoudre cela?

Quand on est en session live de Ubuntu, on ne lance pas Gparted par la "méthode commande" (ctrl+alt+t) : ça se fait entièrement en mode graphique comme expliqué dans le tuto "EFI un jeu d'enfant" du site "Libre à Quimperlé" (étape 3 : Préparer les partitions avec Ubuntu et GParted) : http://libre.a.quimperle.perso.sfr.fr/2 … buntu.html 
Comme tu peux voir sur les illustrations du tuto, il faut taper "gp" dans le champ de recherche du Dash et tu verras apparaître l'icône de Gparted et tu pourras le lancer.

Salut, excuse-moi mais hier j'avais oublier de mentionné : toutes les méthodes. Et la graphique, quand je clic sur le logo de Gparted dans la bibliothèque, il ne se passe rien.

Désolé, je ne connais pas ce problème. Pas d'idée.

EDIT : une idée quand même : fais une liveUSB Ubuntu 14.10 en suivant cette recette : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1707731
Peut-être que cette nouvelle version sera plus compatible avec ton ordi

Ce n'est pas dans la logithèque qu'il faut aller mais dans le tableau de bord.

@Korak : il veut parler de la bibliothèque des applications je suppose. En tout cas, je lui ai donné dans le post #16 les bonnes infos pour qu'il lance Gparted en mode graphique (le tuto est quand même très explicite)
