Charge excessive de la mémoire
Bonjour,
J'ai un souci de consommation de RAM sous Ubuntu 14.04 (noyau 3.13.0-36) avec gnome-session 3.9.90 (réponse de gnome-session --version). J'ai trouvé un sujet similaire [lien] mais personne n'a su trouver de réponse.
Au démarrage, j'ai une petite diode qui clignotait à fond dès que je me connectais à ma session. En regardant l'évolution de la consommation de la RAM dès le démarrage, j'ai bien vu l'augmentation de la mémoire utilisée alors que je n'avais encore rien fait. Le problème s'arrête quand il ne reste que 200 Mo de RAM libres.
Contrairement à d'autres exemples que j'ai pu trouvés sur des forums, gnome-shell ne semble pas siphonné ma RAM. Il n'en consomme que 4.7% d'après le résultat de top.
J'arrive à travailler dessus mais ça devient vite gênant quand je dois lancer des programmes assez lourd (type Matlab ou Mathematica)...

La diode c'est peut-être celle du disque dur ? C'est normal que ça clignote beaucoup quand ça démarre...
Sinon, pour free, je ne vois rien d'anormal. Voilà par exemple chez moi (debian sid kde) :
free -m
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 1756 1638 117 19 34 449
-/+ buffers/cache: 1154 601
Swap: 1000 5 995La ram à peu près bloquée, c'est 1154, le reste étant plus ou moins disponible et attribué en fonction des besoins.
Evidemment, comme tu as beaucoup plus de ram que moi, tu as beaucoup plus de choses en cache. Normal, la ram c'est fait pour être utilisé.
A vue de nez, tout ça a l'air normal.

J'ai continué mes recherches, j'ai mal lu les infos de free -m... J'ai toujours 6.6 Go de RAM de libre en fait.
Donc pas de problème de mémoire. Les lenteurs que j'observe parfois ne viennent pas de là à priori.
Je ne peux pas supprimer mon message... Si quelqu'un peut le faire à ma placer Désolé.

Effectivement, après de plus amples recherches, rien d'anormal. Le fait est qu'à l'usage, mon ordinateur est sensiblement plus lent qu'avant. Je trouvai cela étrange qu'il soit si long à démarrer ma session et qu'il y ait des lenteurs quand je démarre emacs ou firefox. J'essaierai de creuser plus tard.
