problème affichage saccadé pour lecture de vidéos web sur mint xfce

hello
j'ai un problème avec la lecture vidéos sur un PC de 9 ans que je viens de mettre sous mint xfce (voir mon post récent : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1742201)
Le PC a du mal à lire les vidéos sous firefox et chromium (youtube par ex). Apparemment tout se passe bien en résolution modérée (480p) et fenêtre de lecture. Toutefois dès que je mets en plein écran la vidéo le son ne suit pas l'image et l'image est saccadée toujours en résolution modérée. C'est pire quand j'augmente la résolution. Ce n'est pas un problème de débit car sur mes 2 autres PC aucun soucis ADSL en HD ou full HD (et en plus je suis pour le moment en ethernet pour ce PC directement sur ma box). Je supputais initialement un problème de driver du chipset graphique. Cependant lorsque je lis un film sur mon nas en réseau, même en full HD, aucun problème!!!!! Cela peut-il venir d'un pb de mise à jour de flash player ou quelque chose comme ça?

personne n'a d'idée?
j'ai trouvé ce post en attendant sur forum à propos de flash player: http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1289641 mais apparemment rien n'y fait mon flash esy à jour. j'ai fait la manip recommandée sur ce post concernant la carte graphique et son fonctionnement. Voici ce que j'obtiens:

comme je suis bien incapable d'interpréter ce benchmarck merci de votre aide par avance.

Pour info j'ai essayé 5 navigateurs pour résoudre le problème en parallèle (firefox, chromium, opera, konquero, midori) rien n'y fait la lecture est toujours mauvaise.

si ton PC a 9 ans, ca peut venir aussi du processeur
flash necessite maintenant des CPU capable de gérer le SSE2  (P4 ou AMD 64)
une bonne partie des AMD 32bits ne gerent pas le SSE2

pour savoir si ton processeur est compatible lance dans un terminal

cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep flag

tu devrais obtenir un retour du genre

si il n'y a pas de SSE2, c'est mal barré
tu pourras éventuellement bricoler avec des versions obsolétes de flash comme la 10.3 ne nécessitant pas le SSE2 mais bofbof

Lubuntu / Xubuntu-Voyager ==> redonner vie à des machines abandonnées

voici ce qu'il retourne

donc a priori sse2 ok. Je déprime...

En attendant j'ai installé minitube un soft de lecture youtube hors navigateur. JE le conseille vivement car c'est une super appli très rapide et fluide contrairement aux navigateurs (quels qu'ils soient). Sous minitube pas de problème car apparemment le lecteur n'utilise pas flash d'après ce que j'ai lu ici et là.

bon après moult essais de bidouille du flash, des navigateurs, des lignes de code dans le terminal, pb résolu en installant le bureau cinnamon. Le mystère demeure entier...
