Carte Intel Corporation WiFi Link 5100 : ne marche plus depuis 2 jours
Bonjour,
je possède un ordinateur DELL Inspiron 1545 datant de 2009/2010. Je suis exclusivement
sur ubuntu depuis que j'ai cette machine, et n'ai plus de windows à disposition.
Voici mon problème :
Depuis 2 jours, je n'arrive plus à me connecter à internet à partir de ma carte wifi. Je n'avais jamais
eu de problème de ce genre avec cette carte, toujours parfaitement reconnue.
Je suis sous ubuntu 14.04, que j'ai installé il y a environ 6 mois, et tout fonctionnait parfaitement jusqu'à
avant hier.
Fait étrange : parfois, le carte est reconnue et se connecte pendant quelques minutes, puis replante et
je n'ai accès à plus rien. J'ignore pourquoi ça fait ça et n'arrive pas à reproduire ce phénomène. Ce
n'est pas lié au fait de relancer l'ordinateur.
Lorsque la carte ne marche pas (ce qui est le cas à 99% du temps), je n'ai accès à rien, même
'iwlist scan' ne voit pas les réseaux aux alentours.
Quelques petites précisions :
- la carte est reconnue et activée dans le BIOS
- la version de mon portable ne possède pas de 'bouton' permettant d'allumer ou de d'éteindre manuellement
la carte wifi. La touche <F2> joue ce rôle (et semble continuer à le faire, car quand je l'actionne, 'rfkill list' passe
respectivement de "no" à "yes". Je le laisse évidemment en position "no" donc le problème ne vient a priori pas
de là.
- Je ne me souviens plus si j'ai fais une mise à jour dans ces derniers jours (je le fais systématiquement lorsque
le gestionnaire me le propose.
- J'ai un Dongle USB qui se connecte parfaitement, donc a priori, pas de problèmes logiciels (au niveau de nm)
ou de liaison avec mon modem.
La question que je me pose : est-ce logiciel (suite a une mise à jour du noyau, ou d'un fichier de configuration) ou
matériel ? Y'a-t-il une possibilité que ma carte soit HS ?
Quelqu'un a déjà rencontré ce problème ? Merci a toute personne qui pourrait m'aider à diagnostiquer le problème...

Bonjour,
Une question probablement déplacée, ta « carte wifi » est-elle physiquement une carte avec un connecteur ? Dans l'affirmative je vérifierais d'abord la propreté des contacts.

aucune idée... Ca me fait un peu peur d'ouvrir la machine... N'y a-t-il pas un moyen de s'assurer que ce n'est pas logiciel avant d'ouvrir ?

M'enfin, je ne sais pas mais en cherchant sur le Web avec les références de ta machine tu pourrais (avec un peu de chance) avoir des renseignements.
De même, que donne un googlage de :
Ubuntu Intel WiFi Link 5100Question logiciel il est en général difficile de localiser un phénomène non reproductible.
