Problème de wifi avec carte Mediatek MT7630e : help!

Bonjour,

J'ai posté un appel à l'aide il y a qq jours sur le forum, rubrique réseaux... (ici).
Je n'ai pas eu de réponses malheureusement. Depuis, j'ai essayé des choses, et je ne suis pas du tout sûre d'avoir fait les bonnes manip, ne connaissant pas bien les commandes, ni en profondeur le fonctionnement de mon ordinateur...
Après 5 jours dessus, je n'ai toujours pas récupéré mon wifi, j'avoue que je suis perdue et que je ne sais plus quoi faire...!!
Quelqu'un peut-il m'aider ?

Mon souci :
- problème de détection du réseau Wifi / Carte wifi : Mediatek Corp MT7630e / ordi : ASUSR510C.
- déjà eu ce problème l'année dernière, résolu en suivant les pistes ici, et aussi là (j'avais suivi " Installation complète avec DKMS").
- j'ai essayé cette fois ci la solution proposée par razor08350, détaillée là
Mais l’application des commandes fait pas mal d'erreurs...

En fait je viens de constater que j'ai le Kernel "3.16.0-31-generic"...
Ca a changé quand j'ai fait les dernières manipulations... Du temps de ma première discussion, ici, j'étais au Kernel 3.13 ou 3.14 (j'avais vérifié car il fallait être sur ce kernel pour appliquer le tuto de Razor).
Bref. J'ignore ce qu'est le Kernel par contre... mais j'ai cru comprendre que c'était important.

Il semblerait que ta wifi soit vraiment problématique.
Ceci étant, ça fonctionnait avant. As-tu changé de noyau ? Il est spécifié dans la doc qui t'avait permis de la faire fonctionner, que l'installation doit être faite à chaque changement de noyau

C'est le "kernel", le noyau ?
Il me semble que je n'ai pas changé de noyau entre le moment où ça fonctionnait et celui où ça n'a plus marché.
Par contre, j'ai changé sans le savoir/sans le vouloir ces derniers jours, quand je cherchais à rétablir le wifi. J'ai fait plusieurs manipulations et j'ai changé de noyau...je l'ai constaté après coup.

Oui, j'ai vu dans "Installation complète avec DKMS (moins automatisé)" qu'il fallait refaire le processus à chaque changement de noyau.. donc justement, j'ai voulu faire autre chose 1. + simple en terme de commandes (parce que l'installation complète avec dkms a été éprouvante pour moi), et 2. j'ai cru comprendre qu'il existait d'autres façons de faire plus propres et plus durables.
Parce que la fois où j'avais déjà perdu le wifi, bah c'est pas si vieux (fin d'année je crois), et j'ai pas envie de refaire cette manipulation très régulièrement...! tu comprends ?

En fait, godvertami, j'avais déjà essayé la solution que tu m'as indiquée.. j'ai exactement le même message d'erreur que celui indiqué sur mon post 5. ... "invalid format" pour l'installation des fichiers du dossier rt2800.

A ce que j'ai compris, le driver marche pour les kernel version 3.13 et 3.14... et moi j'ai le 3.16. Je ne sais pas si c'est le seul problème mais ça peut en faire partie !

Effectivement. Il semblerait que pour ton noyau, les drivers n'existent pas encore.
En revanche, j'ai trouvé ici une solution qui fonctionne pour le noyau 3.17
Donc, il ne te reste comme solution que:
- soit passer au noyau supérieur 3.17 ici la procédure et essayer la solution présentée dans mon lien
- soit downgrader de noyau en t'inspirant sur ceci Je suppose que l'ancien noyau est toujours présent sur ta machine
La 1ère solution est de loin la mieux et la + simple à mettre en oeuvre.

Allez accroches-toi ! On va y arriver !

J'espère avancer un peu !
J'ai réussi à installer le kernel 3.17... enfin je me demande si tout a bien fonctionné, sur la fin et avant qu'il ne redémarre, j'ai justeeu le temps de voir sur le terminal qu'il m'affichait des messages d'erreur (invalid ou qq chose comme ça, je ne sais plus ça a duré 1/4 de seconde). Ensuite il a redémarré, il m'a affiché une demi-seconde deux lignes d'erreur (pas eu le temps de lire), puis a redémarré normalement.
Quand je demande quel noyau est installé, il me dit 3.17.0-031700-generic.
C'est bon tu penses, malgré les messages d'erreurs pas très rassurants ?

Pour la suite, je ne comprends plus ce qu'il faut faire : tu me propose d'essayer : 
- ce qui est proposé par Benjarobin le Dim 26 Oct 2014, 15:52 sur cette page ?
Si oui, j'ai essayé mais je n'y arrive pas, il n'y a que deux fichiers sur le dossier qu'il partage, et je ne sais plus comment faire je suis complètement perdue.
- ou...quoi déjà ?
Et aussi , dans la discussion, je ne comprends pas l'histoire du dkms, que Benjarobin propose apparemment dans le dernier message de la discussion. Je ne sais pas ce que c'est, ni comment ça s'installe. Je sais juste que c'est utile puisque ça évite de "recompiler le paquet pour chaque mise à jour du kernel"

En fait, sur le lien cité, je ne comprends pas trop ce qui est raconté, et je ne sais pas quelles commandes ou quelle est finalement la marche à suivre.

Le problème est que je n'ai pas de solution: Il n'existe pas de driver pour ta carte adaptée au noyau 3.17. Il n'en existait pas plus pour le 3.16 et j'ai bien fouillé le net.
La seule solution consisterait à downgrader ton noyau vers un 3.14, ce qui est faisable, mais t'embarquer dans des manips à distance me parait difficile. Surtout que ça risquerait d'entrainer des problèmes pour des applications déjà installées. (en bref, noyau inférieur = fonctionnalités en moins qui nécessiterait l'installation de packages adaptés.
Je serais toi, j'opterais pour l'achat d'une clé wifi en attendant un driver correct. Quoique, une fois que t'auras ta clé (entre 10 et 15 euros) tu n'auras plus besoin de ce WIFI à la c...qui te causera d'autres soucis.
