[Résolu] Installer Ubuntu en EFI en mono-boot
Salut
L'ordi de mon fils déconnant sous windows je suis autorisé à installer ubuntu en monoboot
Voici le boot info

Bref, tu peux retirer toutes les partitions labellisées Windows8, autrement dit celle qui sont en format NTFS

Et les autres qui traînent ?
La première doit être la partition EFI nécessaire, mais ne puis-je virer TOUTES les autres ?
L'idée serait d'installer le système sur le mini ssd de 24 Go (sdb), et de mettre le swap et le /home sur le DD de 750 Go (sda) juste derrière la partition EFI.
Ça peut le faire ainsi ?
Pour mon fiston, comme c'est son ordinateur et qu'il est majeur...

Pour ta dernière phrase, c'était une boutade je suis "jeune" aussi et je n'accepterai pas que mon père me formate mon PC sans autorisation. Mais n'empêche que ça m'a fait rire.
Bref pour ta question, oui c'est totalement possible, c'est ce que j'ai sur le mien
Pour ta partition UEFI, je pense même que tu dois pouvoir la supprimer mais je veux pas dire de bétises. Si on regarde ta partition de démarrage (la première), le MBR pointe vers /dev/sdc qui est une partition Linux avec Syslinux... Alors la logique voudrait qu'on s'en tamponne le sauciflard de Windows. Mais encore une fois, je veux pas trop te dire de bétises, ces partitions sont petites, si tu as un doute vaut mieux perdre un peu de place que de perdre les données de ton fiston

Pour ta partition UEFI, je pense même que tu dois pouvoir la supprimer mais je veux pas dire de bétises.
Justement c'est une bêtise que de la supprimer, la machine va démarrer comment?
Les installations en UEFI,on besoins de cette partition pour démarrer.
Pour le MBR...
=> No boot loader is installed in the MBR of /dev/sda.Le système recherche la seule partition /boot/efi qui doit être présente dans la config, même avec un multi boot multi disque. Une seule partition /boot/efi .
Un conseil, voir tous les tutos et intervention de malbo.
Pour la manip envisagée. Je ne suis pas du tout spécialiste du démarrage des installations en UEFI.
Je vais continuer de suivre, pour savoir comment çà se passe.
Sans être sûr du résultat à 100% !!!.
Je pense que l'on peut supprimer les partition Windows, si c'est ce que l'on veut. Puis depuis Ubuntu faire une mise à jour de grub-efi.
sudo update-grubMais je ne sais si çà sera suffisant à faire disparaître les traces de Windows dans la partition /boot/efi /sda1 .
Et surtout conserver le lancement de Ubuntu.
Il vaut mieux avoir la confirmation d'experts en mode UEFI.

La partition (enfin les 3 : /, swap et /home) pour Ubuntu sont temporaires : c'était pour faire un essai.
Je peux tout réinstaller, il n'y a plus aucune data sur l'ordi.
Ce sont les "minis" partitions, la partition windows, les partitions recovery (qui n'ont pas fonctionné) que je voudrai supprimer.
Malbo est dans le parages pour un conseil ?

Cela marche-t-il mieux sous ubuntu?
Si toutes les machines qui fonctionnent sous windows mettaient ce temps à démarrer, je doute que son PDG aurait fini milliardaire.
Lorsque tu auras lancé ubuntu, installe l'application "smartctl" afin qu'on voit l'état du disque.
Cette application est dans la logithèque et s'appelle gsmartcontrol

Oui ça marche normalement sous Ubuntu.
Ça doit être un problème logiciel sous Windows mais impossible de trouver le problème (il peut accélérer le lancement en passant par la liste des tâches et en lançant à la main explorer... mais depuis quelques jours, en plus de ce problème, le système est instable et plante toutes les 10 min... bref une cata ; j'ai cherché pendant une semaine la source du problème sans la trouver : pas de virus, pas de malware, j'ai viré un max de programmes, mais ça n'a rien changé).

Je pense que oui... Puisqu'ils veulent, après test installer Ubuntu seul.
Si la machine était à moi, je relancerais la session live Ubuntu en UEFI comme pour le test.
Et j'installerais Ubuntu .
À l'étape " Allouer de l'espace disque" . Je choisirais "Installer sur tout le disque"
Et je laisserais l'installateur faire son boulot. Il va virer Windows et installer Ubuntu comme il faut en mode UEFI.

Je veux juste avoir une confirmation que je peux tout virer sauf la sda1 montée en /boot/efi de quelqu'un qui est sûr de ce qu'il dit.

Si le disque est pourri, ce n'est pas ubuntu qui le remettra en état!
Le logiciel smartctl qui existe avec ubuntu et windows pourrait infirmer ou confirmer.
Cependant, ce que j'ai vu du boot-info montre que ubuntu pourrait booter. Dans ce cas, il n'y a pas lieu de le réinstaller.
D'abord, installer smartctl qui est dans la logithèque sous le nom gsmartcontrol et constater si je me trompe.

Tu peux prendre l'option "autre chose" afin de choisir précisément ou tu veux déposer les trois partitions. (Ton choix me semble judicieux).
Cependant, comme ton ubuntu semble installé et fonctionnel, installe smartctl et fais la commande
sudo smartctl -a /dev/sda
Smartctl est aussi disponible sous windows

Des précisions :
. Ubuntu est installé et fonctionnel mais je cherche à refaire l'installation pour virer totalement Windows et récupérer les partitions non indispensables
. La data d'origine est déjà sauvegardée, tout peut être effacé

/home sur le DD (sda)Je veux juste avoir une confirmation que je peux tout virer sauf la sda1 montée en /boot/efi de quelqu'un qui est sûr de ce qu'il dit.
Oui, tu peux supprimer toutes les partitions sauf sda1 qui est la partition EFI. Pendant l'installation, tu n'auras rien à faire de particulier s'agissant de sda1 parce que l'installateur de Ubuntu sait ce qu'il a à faire avec une partition EFI. J'ai vu que tu as modifié la table de partition du SSD : à l'origine elle devait être du type GPT et tu l'as passée en type MSDOS. Je pense que ça ne doit pas perturber l'installation et que tu peux laisser en type MSDOS.
Quand l'installation sera faite et fonctionnelle, tu pourras virer les traces de Windows qui sont dans la partition sda1 (à faire depuis ta session Ubuntu).

Bizarre, je ne me rappelle pas avoir modifié le type de table (peut-être quand j'ai bidouillé les partitions en choisissant principale/logique ?).
Et si je vire tout, l'installateur Ubuntu ne crée pas automatiquement une partition EFI dans la partition racine ou son équivalent ?

Si tu vires tout, il faudra créer manuellement une partition EFI. Pour ce faire, tu pourras utiliser Gparted, lui demander de créer une partition FAT32 de 250Mo puis quand c'est fait, lui coller le drapeau "boot" (toujours avec Gparted). Oui mais pourquoi s'emmerder à recréer cette partition EFI alors qu'elle existe déjà et qu'elle est prête à servir pour ta future install ?
Quant à mon hypothèse sur la table de partition du SSD, c'est peut-être moi qui me trompe. S'il s'avère que ton installation ne fonctionne pas comme ça, tu pourras créer une table de partition GPT (au lieu de l'actuelle MSDOS) pour ton SSD et voir si ça règle le problème.

En fait je n'ai rien touché sur le SSD, il était comme ça d'origine.
OK je lance la réinstallation dès que smartctl a fini son examen (en utilisant la partition EFI déjà présente).

bonjour,
j'en profite pour apporter des précisions :
j'ai virer les protections du "BIOS" voir les tutos de Malbo et mon fil
(pour accéder au BIOS : appuie long sur le "." du pad au boot)
mis le SDD en premier
et rebooté pour vérifier -> plus de système (normal !)
ensuite DVD (ou clé usb) et installation sur sda (le SDD)
utiliser tout le disque,
l'installeur de Buntu m'a créé mes partitions !
- 1 part FAT de 210 Mo
- 1 part / 24 Go en Ext4
j'ai pas de SWAP (4Go suffisant pour ce que j'en fait)
avant je switchais dans le BIOS pour passer de DOZ à Buntu
mais, depuis quelque temps, Grub fait ça très bien et j'ai Windows depuis le menu
j'ai aussi monté une de mes partitions du HDD avec Fstab
voilà... c'est une bonne machine

L'installation s'est bien passée.
/ est sur le SSD de 24Go
/boot/EFI sur le DD (présente depuis l'origine)
swap de 9Go sur le DD au cas où (oui c'est bcp trop, je sais)
/home du reste (700+ Go) sur le DD
Au boot je vois un choix pour démarrer sous Windows, que je n'ai plus sur l'ordinateur.
J'ai fait un sudo update-grub (ou grub-update, je ne sais plus) pour mettre à jour le grub depuis Ubuntu, mais Windows est tjs présent dans les choix. Cela doit venir du fait qu'il est "déclaré" par sa présence dans la partition EFI.
Que dois-je modifier pour qu'il n’apparaisse plus ?

Pour virer la proposition windows, voici une solution parmi une autre
Avec le terminal, tu vas dans le répertoire /boot/efi/EFI, tu fais la commande ls -l
Tu devrais voir quelque chose de ce style:
