[Résolu] Reboot aléatoire sur Toshiba Satellite C70D-B-10U

Bonjour à tous,

Je suis nouvelle sur ce forum bien que j'utilise Ubuntu depuis des années. Jusqu'ici j'avais un laptop Dell sur lequel Ubuntu fonctionnait parfaitement, mais apès la mort de mon PC j'ai du prendre un Toshiba Satellite C70D-B-10U.

J'ai réussi l'installation et le dual boot avec Windows. Grub se lance bien au démarrage, tout va bien.

Sauf que .... quand je joue de la musique ou une vidéo ou un petit jeu comme Gweled, le PC plante de façon aléatoire, le son se met alors à bugger (il se répète comme sur un disque rayé) le PC se freeze et au bout de 5 secondes le PC reboote tout seul...

C'est assez pénible et j'aimerai trouver rapidement une solution car j'utilise beaucoup mon PC comme jukebox ou pour regarder des vidéos sad

Est-ce que quelqu'un aurait une idée de ce qui peut poser problème ?

A priori et avant toute chose, il serait bon que tu précises
> d'une part les caractéristiques de ton appareil, processeur, mémoire disponible etc. ...
> d'autre part les références précises de ton Ubuntu et de son interface graphique.

Alors les caractéristiques du PC:
Processeur : AMD A4-6210 1,8 GHz (quadricore)
Disque dur 1 TB 5400 rpm
Mémoire vive: 8 GB DDR3L (sous forme de deux barrettes de 4 G chacune à 1600 MHz)
Carte graphique: Radeon R3 Graphics
Mémoire vidéo partagée

J'ai mis dessus la dernière Ubuntu cad la 14.10 avec interface par défaut cad Gnome si je ne dis pas de bêtises.

Au lieu de démarrer en "normal", si tu sélectionnes dans le menu Grub le mode de dépannage puis que tu choisis resume, est-ce que le problème se produit ou pas ?
Explication : en démarrant de la sorte, tu démarres avec l'option nomodeset. Ma suggestion, c'est pour voir si cette option peut jouer ou pas sur le pb.

Suite à ton précédent post j'ai checké un truc concernant ce modèle de laptop sous linux et j'ai découvert qu'il fallait qu'il soit installé en mode EFI, or je me suis rendue compte que je n'avais pas installé GRUB dans la partition EFI mais à la base du DD (ca marchait quand même pour le démarrage). Donc j'ai utilisé boot-repair et j'ai corrigé ca. Et après retest (j'ai poussé la machine à fond avec musique + jeu pendant 15 min, j'ai restesté des vidéos qui avaient fait planter la machine) ca tient bon et ca ne reboote pas. Donc je vais surveiller de près les prochains jours mais si ca tient bien c'est que ca venait de la mauvaise install de GRUB.

Donne des nouvelles si le pb revient.
Je te prie de faire un Boot-Info depuis une session de ton Ubuntu installé et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse. Je voudrais contrôler comment ton dual-boot a été réparé par Boot-repair.

Les fichiers de démarrage de [L'OS actuellement utilisé - Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS] sont loin du début du disque. Votre BIOS pourrait ne pas les détecter. Vous voudrez peut-être re-essayer après avoir créé une partition /boot (EXT4, >200MB, en début de disque). Cela peut être réalisé via des outils tels que gParted. Si votre ordinateur redémarre directement sur Windows, essayez de changer l'ordre de démarrage dans votre BIOS.
Si votre BIOS ne permet pas de changer l'ordre de démarrage, changez l'entrée de démarrage par défaut de l'amorceur Windows.
Par exemple, vous pouvez démarrer Windows, puis saisir la commande suivante dans une invite de commande en mode administrateur :

J'ai pas du faire gaffe sur la page de téléchargement je pensais avoir pris la 14.10 mais effectivement après check c'est la 14.04 LTS (purée faut vraiment que j'évite de réinstaller un PC dans l'urgence un samedi matin). Par contre en quoi c'est bien d'avoir celle-là plutot que la dernière ? Meilleure stabilité ?
En tout cas je te confirme que le PC démarre par défaut sur Ubuntu

C'est seulement que la 14.10 est maintenue jusqu'en Juillet 2015 (source) et qu'après cela tu es condamné à passer à Ubuntu 15.04. Alors que la 14.04.2 est maintenue jusqu'en Avril 2019, malgré un parcours qui n'est pas un long fleuve tranquille (voir graphique "14.04.x Ubuntu kernel Support Schedule" de la doc LTS Enablement Stack : il y a une discontinuité en Août 2016)

C'est à marquer d'une pierre blanche : contrairement à la majorité des portables Toshiba qu'on voit passer sur le forum, ton ordi ne semble pas affecté par un bridage du démarrage sur Windows 8. La plupart du temps, même avec ubuntu en priorité de démarrage dans l'UEFI, un ordi Toshiba démarre sur Windows 8 (c'est ça que j'appelle le bridage)

EDIT : j'ai vraiment une mémoire de poisson rouge : j'ai retrouvé un autre cas d'ordi Toshiba non bridé ici : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph … #p19268581
Il s'agissait également d'un Toshiba C70D-B-10U donc même modèle que le tien. Faut croire que ce modèle a échappé à la vigilance des concepteurs de chez Toshiba : ils ont oublié de lui coller la bride...

Les modèles de Toshiba dont on est sûr qu'ils peuvent fonctionner avec Ubuntu sont là : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/liste_portables_toshiba
Mais le temps file tellement vite que presque tous ces modèles ne sont plus en vente aujourd'hui. Si tu veux acheter un portable d'occasion, cette Liste des portables « Toshiba » peut t'aider mais si c'est pour acheter un portable sorti tout récemment, cette liste ne sert à rien malheureusement, sauf si tu as la chance que le modèle que tu convoites ait justement été acheté par un Ubunteros qui l'a équipé de Ubuntu et qui a renseigné le tableau...probabilité faible.

D'autre part, tu as écrit dans le post #7 : "je me suis rendue compte que je n'avais pas installé GRUB dans la partition EFI mais à la base du DD (ca marchait quand même pour le démarrage). Donc j'ai utilisé boot-repair et j'ai corrigé ça." Mais moi je ne vois aucune trace de cette précédente installation : d'habitude, je vois une mention de Grub installé dans le MBR du disque mais chez toi ce n'est pas le cas puisqu'on voit que c'est vierge dans cet extrait de ton Boot-Info :

 => No boot loader is installed in the MBR of /dev/sda.

Du coup, je ne sais pas exactement quel était l'état de départ. Mais bon, en tout cas l'état actuel est parfait à mon avis.

Oui j'ai vu cette page mais après l'achat ..... Mon ancien PC est mort brutalement pendant la nuit, je me suis donc retrouvée un samedi matin sans pc et donc sans rien pour aller checker sur internet et j'avais absolument besoin d'un PC, donc je me suis retrouvée à devoir faire dans l'urgence sad
Pour GRUB au départ je l'avais mis à la base du DD, ca c'est sur car j'avais choisi l'emplacement au moment du partitionnement "avancé" (car par défaut il voulait m'écraser un truc qu'il fallait pas), mais avec boot-repair je lui ai dit de le mettre dans la partition EFI, il l'a donc ptêt supprimé du MBR...

et tu en profiteras pour rectifier la référence de ton modèle dans ce titre : c'est C70D-B-10U (tu avais écrit C70D-B10U à l'origine)
