[Résolu] Problemes d'affichage NVIDIA NV17 GeForce4 MX 420
Bonjour à tous
je suis à bout, j'ai tenté de me débrouiller par mes propres moyens en lisant des sujets proches, les documentations du site et même ailleurs.
ça me dépasse, je suis nouveau dans le monde linux, j'y connais rien en carte graphique, je patauge, fais n'importe quoi........
Y'aurait'il quelqu'un qui veuille bien prendre le temps de m’apporter une aide personnalisée?
J'avais déjà ouvert le sujet Lubuntu14.04 problèmes d'affichages (ou j'ai posté une capture d'écran de mon problème visuel),dans la partie
"LXDE" de la catégorie "Environnements et accessibilité", à tord parceque ce n'est pas un soucis propre à Lubuntu. (Merci à Caribou22 de m'avoir aidé à résoudre mon souci vidéo, aussi à julien173 et jptzd pour leur tentative)
L'ordi tourne actuellement sur Xubuntu 14.04, mon souci reste le même. Ce n'est pas mon pc perso, je l'ai recueilli chez moi pour virer XP depuis 2 semaines, tout va bien mieux hormis ce problème.
Mon problèmes:
-Lorsque j'ouvre mon /home, toutes les icones des dossiers ne s'affichent pas, ou selon si j'y passe la souris dessus vont s'afficher puis disparaitres.
-lorsque je suis dans le terminal, lorsque je "colle" une commande, la zone devient transparente, et lorsque la commande s’exécute c'est toute la fenêtre du terminal qui devient transparente, et qui selon si je déplace ma souris ou déplace la fenêtre du terminal apparaîtra partiellement.
-sur le forum, les smileys et avatars des membres m'apparaissent blanchâtres parfois sur certaines zones, mais lorsqu'avec la barre de défilement de droite je descend et remonte sur la page, certains apparaissent ou partiellement.

Bonjour,
j'ai dernièrement passé le sujet en [quasi-résolu] parce que j'avais avancé mais en fait j'ai pas encore trouvé le bout
A trop vouloir m'abreuver de docs et de sujets assez comparables à mon problème, en tentant des choses, en me créant d'autres problèmes collatéraux qui m’obligeaient à encore plus rechercher, j'ai frisé le "burn-out neurologique" 
J'ai donc formaté mon cerveau, lâché ça pendant quelques jours pour tenter d'oublier et de partir sur une nouvelle approche.
J'ai résolu mon souci d'affichage aléatoire et bugé qui ne m'affichait que la moitié des icônes de mes dossiers, le terminal qui devenait transparent, etc... en suivant la doc: Cartes graphiques NVIDIA
-Soucis rencontré dans l'ensemble et pour mes tentatives, étant sur Xubuntu 14.04, la doc aborde des variantes et/ou versions différentes, les chemins et/ou applications sont donc différents, certains toujours en anglais n'aide pas forcement non plus.
-On me parle de "pilote libre et de pilote propriétaire", je ne sais pas comment savoir avec lequel je tourne, apparemment, pas le "propriétaire".
Je suis allé dans "gestionnaire de paramètres/pilotes additionnels/" la fenêtre est vide: "Aucun pilote additionnel dispo"/"aucun pilote propriétaire n'est utilisé".
-J'ai essayé les différentes méthodes pour installer les propriétaires sans succès, j'ai installé le paquet "nvidia-common", la liste des choix est toujours vide
(rappel pour info: je n'ai pas par défaut de fichier "/etc/X11/xorg.conf (ni même caché "Ctrl+h")
-j'ai installé le paquet: "nvidia-current" et le PPA: "ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates"
tapé dans le terminal:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current
sudo reboot et là, tout s'est amélioré! 
OK, l'affichage est mieux mais pas encore top!
Mon principal souci je pense est que j'avais auparavant une résolution trop grosse, les icônes sur le bureau étaient petites avec une belle résolution mais des problèmes graphiques, maintenant j'ai de grosses icônes mais plus de soucis (c'est vite dit).
En poursuivant mes recherches, je me trouve avec un écran parametré en 1024x748 alors qu'il supporterai le 1440x900 (carateristiques de l'écran)
Souci de configuration avec "nvidia-settings". Déjà il est en anglais, je pourrais m'en sortir mais contrairement à la doc, je n'ai pas toutes ces possibilités de paramètres, sur la zone de gauche je n'ai que deux lignes:
-Applications profiles
-nvidia-settings Configuration
et que ce soit l'une ou l'autre, hormis quelques petites cases à décocher je ne peux vraiment pas paramétrer grand chose 
J'ai bien compris qu'il était possible de créer et modifier le fichier "xorg.conf", mais mes dernières tentatives de modifications s'étant soldés par une résolution à 800x600 avec un néant total derrière et une obligation de réinstall, je m'interdit de repartir là dedans sans l'aide d'un accompagnateur confirmé.......:rolleyes:
Voilà tout! bilan y'as du mieux, mais je ne sais plus trop quoi faire..................

bon, pas de réponses...........j'ai cherché, j'ai tenté, j'ai échoué
j'ai surtout fait n'importe quoi et ai fini par retomber dans une résolution de 600x480.
Problème résolu en retournant sur un Lubuntu 14.04 LTS et solution donné dans mon 1er sujet initial ICI

Salutn je suis un peut dans le meme cas que toi, mais je trouve tres tres lent, la carte video n'est pas bien prise en charge je galére depuis quelques jours a essayer de tirer un os potable , mais je crois que je fais finir par remetre ce vieux XP , j'ai essayer HandyLinux et c'etait bien pire ! Car pour le moment j'ai l'impression d'avoir Windows 95 avec un 486 .... , pas la joie !

Bonjour LeGlod,
Peut-être devrais-tu ouvrir un nouveau sujet en donnant un maximum d'informations sur ta carte graphique,config, tes problèmes. La solution pour l'un n'est pas forcement la même pour l'autre. Je sais ce que je dis, j'ai pas mal galéré pour résoudre les miens, et comme tu as pu le lire au dessus, je n'ai pas résolu mais contourné.
Désolé, je suis amateur sur Linux, tu trouveras surement un meilleur conseillé. J'ai eu du mal au début, mais aujourd'hui pour rien au monde je ne reviendrais sur mon vieil XP. Bonne continuation à toi!

Merci je suis revenue un peut en arriere aussi 14.04LST mais la version normal quelle erreur il s install c est sur mais c est lent tellement que meme l ordi s impatiente et fini par oublier d afficher des elements lol bon la j ai reussi a installer ligth et c est vrais que c est plus rapide mais j ai quand meme pas l impression que c est un affichage hard et puis mon clavier est en querty ... je persiste je vais essayer d installer un pilote ...
