Disque dur mourant - Sauvetage avec Parted Magic
Salut à tous,
J'ai un disque dur qui a commencé à déconner ce WE, et bien sur je n'ai pas fait de sauvegarde depuis un bail et il est rempli de photos / vidéos / documents précieux …
Je penche pour un problème matériel. Au début il était très lent avant de rapidement renvoyer des erreurs IO. Par contre il ne fait pas de bruit particulier, ni ne semble particulièrement chaud.
Il est visible mais détecté comme RAW dans Windows. J'ai réussi a faire un chkdsk mais il a tourné plusieurs heures, m'a indiqué des secteurs défectueux avant de planté lamentablement.
J'ai récupéré une clé USB avec Parted Magic (version Ubuntu dédié au sauvetage / backup). Là j'arrive à y accéder, j'ai pu faire quelques copies, mais c'est très lent et ça ne donne rapidement plus rien (les dossiers vides).

Du coup j'ai arrêté de bidouiller et je vais essayer de suivre les étapes …
J'ai commandé un disque dur neuf pour essayer de faire ma récupération et mes manipulations ... (ainsi que le NAS qui me trotter dans la tête depuis quelques semaines et que j'aurais pas du hésiter à acheter !!)

Tu es sûr que c'est sdb ?
Tu avais déjà du Linux dessus apparemment...
Et pour ce que ça va servir maintenant que tu as peut-être perdu tes données... et j'en suis désolé... mais on vous avez pourtant prévenu : NE PAS ACHETER DE GREEN WD !
En effet, WD a mis une "fonctionnalité" d'obsolescence programmée. Sous couvert d'économie d'énergie (risible vu qu'un disque sur PC va consommer à tout casser 1€ d'électricité par an), le disque se parque toutes les 8 secondes. Comme les disques sont donnés pour ~300k parcages, je te laisse faire le calcul de la durée de vie de la bête... ça tape en mois ou une petite année si tu te sers peu de ton PC.

P.S.: et c'est hélas pareil désormais pour les "Red", sauf si tu as la chance d'avoir de ceux de la première génération (c'est mon cas). C'est vraiment un comble pour des disques qui sont dans un NAS !

Maintenant que tu le dis, en fait oui, le disque a été quelques temps dans mon enregistreur de salon. l'OS doit être un linux.
Désolé, on m'a pas prévenu . Par contre si ce que tu dis est vrai, ça me fait mal au cul, parce que j'ai commandé 2 disques HIER, en même temps qu'un NAS ...
Là j'ai débranché le disque, en attendant de pouvoir tenter une copie et essayer de récupérer mes données.
Je vais étudier cette histoire, au pire je ferai changer les disques ... merci pour l'info !
