[Résolu] Mise à jour impossible suite à modif de mot de passe
Bonjour à tous,
je reviens vers vous à cause d'un problème pour lequel je n'arrive pas trouver, seul, une solution.
Voici les faits :
j'ai installé il y a quelques temps Ubuntu 13.04 sur le pc de mon beau-frère. Le sauvant d'une fin de vie précoce.
Tout allait bien jusqu'au jour où il m'a avoué avoir perdu/oublié le mots de passe de l'unique compte du portable. Du coup impossible de faire les mise à jour ou d'installer quoi que ce soit...
Je viens de récupérer le pc, j'ai réussi à changer le mot de passe du compte en question (via une session live-usb). Problème, je n'arrive toujours pas à faire les mise à jours. Je pense que c'était prévisible, en changeant le mot de passe j'empêche l'accès au trousseau et donc au clef gpg des sources (me trompe-je ?).
Bref, je ne m'en sors pas et je requiert votre aide, chers membres de la communauté ubuntu-fr.

ça ok pas de soucis, mais il y a des mises à jours en attentes (puisque le mot de passe à été perdu avant la fin du support de cette version) et sans parler de mise à jour, l’installation de nouveau logiciel est impossible

Les dépôts ne sont plus en ligne...
Donc, on ne peut plus rien faire :
- ni mise à jour
- ni installation de logiciel

... et probablement pas de migration de version non plus, puisqie 13.10 est elle aussi caduque.
La seule solution raisonnable est de faire une installation fraîche de 14.04, par exemple, en suivant la documentation quant à la façon de récupérer / réinstaller les applications d'une version à l'autre.
C'est du boulot, mais il faut nécessairement évoluer vers une version actuelle et maintenue.
Plus de 50 ans d'informatique, ça en fait des lignes de commandes en console, mais on n'avait pas le choix...
Excellente raison pour, aujourd'hui qu'on le peut, utiliser au maximum les INTERFACES GRAPHIQUES !
Important : Une fois résolu, pensez à clore votre sujet en ajoutant [Résolu] devant le titre du 1er message, et un bref récapitulatif de la solution à la fin de celui-ci. Merci.

Bonsoir à tous, effectivement je n'avais pas bien comprit les conséquences de l'extrait posté par michel_04, je pensais que ça signifiais pas de nouvelles mises à jours, mais j'ai finit par comprendre... plus de mise à jour disponible puisque plus de serveur... Ça me semble maintenant tellement évident...
bref vous avez répondu à ma question et j'ai résolu le problème avec une installation fraîche d'Ubuntu 15.04 !

avec une installation fraîche d'Ubuntu 15.04
...et c'est bien dommage ! Du coup, te voilà reparti pour une migration / réinstallation tous les six mois...
Que n'as-tu suivi le conseil d'installer une version LTS (la 14.04 actuellement) pour être tranquille jusqu'en 2019 ?

Ça n'a rien d'un drame, le plus important était de récupérer un accès au root. C'est chose faite.
