[RESOLU] Pb BOOT sur disque IDE - MBR ecraser ?
Bonjour, j'ai installé un nouveau disque dur SATA sur mon ordi et j'ai mis dessus Windows LSD et ubuntu.
A priori lors de l'install de ubuntu, je n'ai pas touché au disque IDE... Le truc c'est que je n'arrive pas à booter sur le disque IDE sur lequel j'avais un WINLSD mais avec tout bien configurer etc...
Dans le BIOS, il y a plusieurs options pour l'ordre de boot :
Quand je boot sur SATA, j'ai le GRUB avec ubuntu et winLSD (le nouveau à priori)...
Quand je met HDD0, je boote directement sur WINLSD mais le nouveau apparement puisque rien n'est installer etc...
Du coup je pense que je n'arrive plus à booter sur mon ancien winLSD, comment je peux faire pour le retrouver ?
Est-il possible que pour le bios le disque HDD0 soit maintenant la partition SATA où j'ai mis mon nouveau win LSD ? Dans ce cas comment je peux savoir à quel HDD correspond mon disque IDE ?

Ce qui a pu se passer :
tu aurais installé le bootloader Grub sur le MBR du DD IDE.
Pour en être sûr, il faudrait lister le fichier menu.lst
sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst (entre balises Code pour + de lisibilité)
et donner le résultat, depuis un terminal, de:
sudo fdisk -l

Juste pour info :
Le nouveau WINLSD se situe sur la partition appelée WINDISK
l'ancien winLSD se situe sur le IDE monté sur /media/media je crois cela s'est fait tout seul (en passant le IDE est partitionné en 2 : C: et ZEUS D:)
Si j'efface winLSD nouveau (donc toute la partition WINDISK) et que je copie le c: -> windisk ... est ce que cela marcherait ?

Quand tu bootes sur le SATA le bootloader Grub te donne le choix entre ubuntu du SATA et l'Xp du disque IDE (est-ce le nouveau, l'ancien ???)
Quand tu bootes sur l'IDE c'est l'XP de l'IDE qui est lancé.
Maintenant il faut lister le boot.ini qui se trouve sur la partition C:\ de l'IDE (de l'Xp qui boote) pour vérifier qu'est-ce qui est réellement lancé.
Tu peux aussi ajouter un pavé Xp en fin de menu.lst pour tester :

Tu es sur car que je boote sur le sata et que je choisisse dans le grub XP ou que je boote sur IDE, je me retrouve toujours avec le XP tout neuf non parametré...

Ah oui et aussi pour garder les jeux installés dans l'ancien winLSD... mais la comme je n'arrive que a lancer le LSD tout beau tout nouveau, pour lui rien n'est installer... même si quand je vais dans C: je tombe sur mon ancien PROGRAM FILES
...
Bref je comprend plus rien...
Bon je vais lister le boot.ini ce soir...

Pour moi j'ai l'impression de faire ceci :
quand je boot sur l'IDE (HDD0) =>

quand je boot sur SATA =>

J'ai mis en gras les causes du démarrage de ton nouveau Xp (sur sata) sur le disque IDE.
Si tu veux que le boot sur ce disque ide te fasse démarrer sur ton ancien Xp il faut le modifier ainsi :

En fait je me demande même pourquoi j'ai fait une nouvelle install de winXP... je crois que c'était pour que celui ci soit sur le SATA (plus rapide) mais bon comme normallement je devrais l'utiliser de moins en moins... enfin si j'arrive à résoudre mes problèmes avec HARDY...
