compatibilité HP Pavilion 17-f211nf

Bonjour à tous,

je viens d'acquérir un HP Pavilion 17-f211nf  avec Windows 8 que j'ai mis à jour avec W10, mais c'est vraiment nul !....
j'aimerais installer Ubuntu, mais mon modèle ne figure pas dans le tutoriel des compatibilités sur le site.
Est-ce que quelqu'un pourrait me dire si je peux tenter l'installation ?

Je te propose d'entrée de faire un boot-info car souvent une mise à jour windows 10 modifie la structure initiale de l'installation windows 8

Je te recommande d'installer Ubuntu 14.04.3 64 bits parce que la version de base de Ubuntu 14.04 ne doit pas pouvoir gérer correctement ton processeur AMD E1-6010 si j'en crois cette discussion : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1680561 (le noyau 3.13 ne conviendrait pas)
Pour tester (choix "Try Ubuntu without installing" au démarrage) cette version que je propose, je te recommande de réaliser une liveUSB Ubuntu 14.04.3 64 bits en suivant cette recette : http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1893601

ok merci à tous !
je me suis gravé la version disponible sur votre site en image ISO sur un DVD et ça a marché nickel sans aucun problème !!!!
j'avais un peu peur en lisant toutes vos pages de tutoriel mais en fait il n'y a qu'à suivre l'installation en se laissant guider....
après 2 jours d'utilisation, le modèle HP que j'ai acquis semble pleinement compatible
la logithèque en ligne est une tuerie !!!

j'avais utilisé Debian, il y a 10 ans, puis j'étais revenu sous Windows pour je ne sais plus quelle raison ...
mais vu l'évolution du système Microsoft, je ne suis pas près d'y retourner ....

au fait question à 100 balles, qui sait à quoi correspond mon pseudo ?

Si malbo n'avait pas encore répondu, je t'aurais probablement répondu qu'il y a des chances qu'Ubuntu fonctionne quand-même état donné qu'on ne peut pas inclure dans la liste tous les ordinateurs qui existent vu la vitesse à laquelle il en sort des nouveaux. Mais comme malbo est je crois assez bien informé pour ce qui est des problèmes d'installation, je ne puis que te conseiller de faire ce qu'il t'indique (et apparemment ça marche). Au passage j'apprends de nouvelles choses: je ne savais pas qu'ubuntu pouvait se révéler incompatible avec certains types de processeurs non courants comme les amd. J'avais en tête qu'il gérait tout très bien.

mais vu l'évolution du système Microsoft, je ne suis pas près d'y retourner ....

En effet, si tu était habitué à Windows XP ou Vista (2006 il me semble...), je comprends que tu sois dépaysé. Mais tu as bien raison de repasser sous linux.

Gary Kidall est l'inventeur du Q-Dos, qui a précédé le PC Dos, et le MS Dos, c'est en fait, l'inventeur de l'ancêtre de Windows qu'il avait vendu à Bill Gates pour 75 000 dollars à l'époque car ce dernier avait été missionné par IBM pour concurrencer Mac ....

Je suis surpris que tu n'aies pas eu de problème pour arriver à démarrer sur Ubuntu après installation : il arrive qu'il n'y en ai pas mais c'est très rare. En général, l'ordi continue à démarrer par défaut sur Windows comme avant. Pour que je puisse tenter de comprendre ça, je te prie de démarrer une session sur ton Ubuntu installé et depuis cette session de faire un Boot-Info. Tu donneras l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse.

à savoir que le démarrage par défaut se fait bien sur le menu Grub. Et je note que tu as désactivé "Secure Boot". Je reste sur le cul que tu n'aies pas eu à souffrir du verrouillage du démarrage sur Windows.

EDIT : je viens d'ajouter ton modèle HP Pavilion 17-f211nf dans la Liste des portables « HP »
Pour mémoire, ton modèle est équipé d'un processeur AMD E1-6010 et la partie graphique ( AMD Radeon R2 ) est sur la même puce que le processeur. Il n'y a pas de carte graphique dédiée.

ouais eh ben tu vois je sais pas quoi trop dire, je ne suis pas un pro de l'informatique ... je dois avoir de la chance ... HP n'est pas si mal que ça finalement
je ne sais pas si c'est le modèle qui est bien, ou si c'est parce que j'ai désactivité le secure boot, ou que j'avais partitionné mes disques après avoir fait la MAJ windows 10

Non, c'est un fabricant qui nous les brise depuis des années (même du temps du Bios) : il a toujours fait son maximum pour rendre compliquée l'install de Ubuntu en dual-boot. Oui, tu as seulement eu de la chance.

300 € pour un 17 pouces sur cdiscount y a pas à se plaindre ....

A la mise à jour de windows, il s'est remis prioritaire. Ce n'est pas grave.
Utilises windows pour lancer ubuntu, Cela devrait marcher.

Lorsque tu seras de nouveau dans ubuntu, tu fais la commande

sudo efibootmgr -v

pour avoir l'ordre des boots.
puis tu feras la commande 

sudo efibootmgr    -o    N,P,Q

avec N,P,Q les bons numéros, Soit tu regardes dans le forum des cas, soit tu donnes le résultat de la première commande. Tu fais ta proposition et on te donnera le bon ordre si tu te trompes.

Cela voudrait dire qu'il a été viré comme un malpropre, Dans ce cas on va le refabriquer

Il faut que tu vérifies qu'il est malgré tout encore présent

et on fabrique l'entrée
   

sudo efibootmgr   -c   -p  2   -L "ubuntu"  -l "\EFI\ubuntu\shimx64.efi"

et on vérifie qu'elle est bonne.

Si cela te semble dur, Refais un boot-info.....  On verra  la réparation qu'il va proposer.

PS:   Le boot de ubuntu n'est pas sur une clé USB mais dans la même partition que celui de windows....
            Le boot-info montrerait-il que windows l'a éliminé!!!!
