Problème avec lecteur LTO !

Bonjour,

J'ai acheté un vieux "Tandberg Data StorageLoader 1000 1U Ultrium LTO3".

Il se connecte a une carte SCSI qui je pense est détecter par Ubuntu car quand je tape la commande :

root@Chuck:/home/administrateur# lspci

La carte est bien apparu alors je ne sais pas si c'est vraiment connecter je suppose que oui (sinon mon deuxième problème serai comment installer une carte scsi).

Mon problème est au niveau du lecteur LTO je ne le vois pas comment le connecter si vous pourriez m'aider à le connecter cela m'aiderai beaucoup et cela me permettrai de lancer mes sauvegardes

Que dit la commande dmesg quand tu branches ton disque sur la carte et que tu l'allumes ?

D'après le fil, il me semble qu'il faut installer les paquets dump et mt-st.
Ton retour de dmesg contient trop de choses. Il faudrait recommencer après avoir débranché et rebranché le lecteur, les dernières lignes de dmesg devraient noter quelque chose concernant ces actions.
En fin il devrait y avoir un /dev/st0 ou quelque chose d'approchant.
Je n'ai pas de lecteur de bandes et j'avoue que j'ai oublié comment on s'en servait.

Pour la commande dsmeg ce qui apparaît a la fin après avoir débrancher et rebrancher le câble c'est :

D'après la page, on devrait voir un module dont le nom commence par sym dans la liste.
Est-ce qu'au branchement, le lecteur fait du bruit, allume une diode ?

Au branchement le lecteur faire bien du bruit je pense qu'il check les emplacements des différentes cartouches et l'afficheur m'indique ready après quelque secondes.

Je vois sym53c8xx qui m'a l'air d'être le bon module pour gérer la carte.
Si après avoir branché le lecteur, tu tapes

sudo rmmod sym53c8xx
sudo insmod sym53c8xx

est-ce que dmesg dit clairement qu'il voit le lecteur et y a-t-il un /dev/tape ?

S'il n'y a pas de /dev/st0 ou approchant, on peut le créer en s'inspirant de cette page
avec un

sudo mknod -m 666 /dev/st0 c 9 0

alors

mt -f /dev/st0 status

devrait donner une réponse.
Mais je trouve étonnant qu'il ne soit pas créé par le système.

Voici une autre doc
Il semble qu'il faut charger le module st.
Sous ubuntu il ne faut pas utiliser la commande rpm qui est faite pour d'autres variantes de Linux.

D'après le tuto c'est bien initialisé.

par contre la vérification de la communication avec le lecteur n’apparaît pas quand je consulte les log du serveur il devrais m'afficher sa

Est-ce qu'il y a des /dev/st??
L'annexe D du tuto dit qu'il faut tous les créer comme indiqué dans la page 16 (avec un sudo).
Et ensuite

sudo rmmod st
sudo modprobe st

je viens de finir l'annexe D les /dev/st sont bien creer la commande ls -l /dev/st* me donne ça maintenant :

Et quoi de neuf dans dmesg quand on débranche et rebranche le lecteur ?
Et en redémarrant l'ordinateur avec le lecteur branché ?

bonjour,

La commande dmesg n'affiche toujours pas de St et ce qui est bizarre aussi c'est qu'en tapant la commande ls -l /dev/st*  plus aucun st que j'avais rajouter hier n’apparaît après redémarrage .

Je sais pas d'ou cela peut bien venir je suis entrain de voir aussi si cela ne viendrais pas d'un driver a installer pour le lecteur LTO sur le site web du constructeur il y a un gestionnaire pour le lecteur .je vais essayer sa mais si c'est pas ça j’espère qu'on va trouver une solution .
