Installer mon home sur un deuxième Dd interne

Bonjour à tous,

Mon pc est configuré avec un ssd plus un deuxième dd que je souhaite dédié à mon Home.
Sachant que le ssd je le réserve aux applications système.

J'ai utilisé l'un des tutoriels trouvé sur internet, résultat je n'ai plus de home. Et de surcroît quand je reboot impossible de se reloguer.
Il faudrait que je trouve le moyen de réinstaller mon home en ligne de commande ou avec un livre CD ou Live USB ?

Pouvez-vous me donner un coup de main, merci je suis bloqué.

Oui le deux disques sont branchés lorsque je lance "blkid", je les vois tous.

Cela dit, Il était où et comment, ton /home, avant que tu ne le perdes ?
Parce-que pour le rétablir sur l'un ou l'autre disque, il faudrait quand même commencer par le trouver quelque part...

On peut savoir sur quelle version en session live de Ubuntu (ou ses variantes) tu tentes d'installer Boot-Repair et Boot-info??.

Lorsque j'ouvre la session je reste sur le GDM, pas moyen d'aller plus loin car plus de "home".
Je m’apprête à créer un Live usb avec Boot repair et je vous fourni le lien.

J'ai installé la version ubuntu 15.10 gnome, jusqu'à la ça démarrait correctement.

Un lien vers le tutoriel aurait peut-être permis de lever l’ambiguïté du "home" cité.

C'est d'ailleurs pour ça que je n'aime pas qu'on dise "…mon home…"

Bonjour

Ce "tuto" n'est pas très bien fait => Tu as déplacé tout le contenu du répertoire /home avec la commande mv,
alors que j'aurais plutôt conseillé de "copier" ton répertoire /home/nomUtilisateur avec la commande cp, ce qui t'aurait évité le problème que tu rencontre,
et tu as peut-être fait une erreur en modifiant le fichier /etc/fstab (il y a plein d'erreurs possibles)

Le rapport du boot repair devrait donner le contenu du fichier /etc/fstab et les UUIDs des partitions qui permettront peut-être de réparer tout ça.

Evidemment « safe » c'est facile à dire, mais si tu as commis une petite faute d'orthographe tout est fichu en l'air.
A partir du moment où tu as fait un « mv » de l'ancien répertoire /home il n'est plus visible.
Ce qu'il faudrait faire avec ton live est une vérification scrupuleuse de ton /etc/fstab et du contenu de la partition censée être montée sur /home.

Ensuite si par malheur tu as réussi le déplacement de /home sur ce format étranger, tu as probablement perdu une bonne partie de la substantifique moelle in the deep space.

Si tous les fichiers du répertoire /home (et de ses sous-répertoires) ont été effectivement déplacés sur un système de fichiers vfat, ils auront perdu leurs attributs.

Il devrait être possible de recopier ces fichiers sur un système de fichiers ext et remettre les "bons" attributs à ces fichiers, mais je n'ai pas d'installation Ubuntu accessible (je suis sous debian) pour pouvoir vérifier quels sont les "bons" attributs pour chaque fichier.

Il faudrait d'abord vérifier que tous les fichiers et les sous-répertoires sont bien présents dans la partition vfat labellisée NEWHOME (normalement : /dev/sdb1)

Pour cela, démarre en session live et mounte la partition NEWHOME pour nous donner la liste des fichiers qu'elle contients.

Si tu la mounte depuis un ubuntu Live, elle devrait être mountée dans un sous répertoire du répertoire /media
si le compte utilisateur de la session live est ubuntu , la partition à lister sera : /media/ubuntu/NEWHOME

Si c'est le cas et que le système de fichiers de la partition a été mounté depuis l'interface graphique par le gestionnaire de fichiers,
la ligne de commande suivante donnera la liste de tous les fichiers contenus dans /media/ubuntu/NEWHOME et de ses et sous-répertoires

ls -lR /media/ubuntu/NEWHOME

Il n'y a rien eu de déplacé, mais ce n'est pas grave car je venais d'installer mon système.
J'ai juste répertoire Systeme volume information {DA2801FD-1908-4972-8D51-6DE1D59370D1}

Mais je te confirme donc qu'il n'y a rien sur la partition "New Home", au démarrage GDM il me dit que "absent de la liste".
Bon c'est logique puisque le home l'utilisateur n'existe plus, donc comment le recréer en ligne de commande ou en live USB.

Tout est faisable, mais c'est plus ou moins compliqué à faire et forcement encore beaucoup plus difficile à expliquer.

Du coup, comme il n'y a pas de fichiers personnels à récupérer, il sera beaucoup plus simple de refaire une installation (enfin, à mon humble avis de gros fainéant… )

Et au cours de cette nouvelle installation il suffira de formater /dev/sdb1 en ext4 et de spécifier au programme d'installation de l'utiliser pour /home

Bon d'accord je m'étais posé la question lors de l'installation, mais comment faire pour lui indiquer que mon home sera sur cette partition.

Au bout de toutes ces années à utiliser Ubuntu je suis toujours aussi .... En fin pas facile...

Il doit y avoir la possibilité de l'indiquer en refusant le mode automatique au moment du choix du disque d'installation et de son partitionnement => partitionnement manuel (je ne sais plus quel est le nom dans la liste des choix proposés)

Je n'ai pas mes machines virtuelles accessibles pour faire les tests et te donner la marche à suivre, mais si tu spécifie que :

- La partition /dev/sdb1 (anciennement labellisée NEWHOME) doit être formatée en ext4 (éventuellement, tu pourra lui redonner le même label : NEWHOME)
- et qu'elle doit être mountée dans /home,

alors le programme d'installation utilisera cette partition pour tous les répertoires personnels des comptes utilisateurs (Sauf pour le compte utilisateur root dont le répertoire personnel reste à la racine du système => /root mais ce ne sera pas la peine de le spécifier.)

Bonsoir,
Il me semble que le choix pour l'installation manuelle est "Autre chose", je crois.
Lorsqu'on fait ce choix, on a alors la possibilité de partitionner / formater son disque (ou ses disques) pour répartir l'arborescence entre plusieurs partitions. En suite, on affecte chaque partition à un point de montage de son choix, soit des points de montage "obligés" tels que la racine sur "/", le home sur "/home", mais aussi selon les besoins des points de montage personnels qui seront créés automatiquement par l'installateur, comme "/data" ou "/personnel", etc...
Tout sera alors correctement déclaré dans le fichier /etc/fstab et se montera automatiquement au démarrage avec les bons droits et les bonnes propriétés.
Enfin, pour les partitions typiquement Linux, choisir le format EXT4. Pour le swap, choisir le format spécial "swap" et pour toute partition partagée Linux / Windows, choisir NTFS (sachant que sur ce format, les droits ne seront pas gérés par Linux).
Voilà, bon courage et je rejoins l'avis de Braun et MicP, dans ton cas, le mieux est quand même de réinstaller. Les rattrapages risquent fort de donner un système instable ou mal fichu et, puisque tu n'avais encore pas utilisé ce système, tu ne perds pas de données personnelles.

Si je peux me permettre de donner un avis...

Sur cette machine vont cohabiter Windows et Ubuntu.
Il y a des données qui peuvent être, et seront utilisées par les deux systèmes. Les données partagées.
Les média vidéo, fichiers son &&&.
Les données bureautiques, à condition qu'elles soient créées par les même logiciels libre, utilisables sous Windows et Ubuntu.
Et d'autres types de données que j'oublie certainement.
Le souci est que ces données doivent être accessible en écriture et lecture par les deux systèmes.
Donc placées dans une partition de type NTFS. Windows ne sait pas nativement accéder aux partitions de type ext4. Donc impossible à lui d’accéder au home Ubuntu sur partition format ext4.

Dans le contenu du home de Ubuntu. Il y a aussi des fichiers typiquement de type Linux, et les données dont je parle ci-dessus.

À mon avis les données typiquement Linux seraient bien mieux dans le dossier home de Ubuntu, et que ce soit sur le SSD, pour garder la fluidité du fonctionnement de Ubuntu.
Partition /home séparée, ou home inclus dans le système d'Ubuntu, c'est un choix à faire, à la réinstallation de Ubuntu sur le SSD.

Imaginons que le disque sur lequel bricefwi77230 veut transférer le /home de Ubuntu vienne à lâcher. Ou que pour une raison ou une autre que la partition /home séparée ne soit plus accessible. Les données typiquement Linux de cette partition ne sont plus accessibles.Son Ubuntu ne marche plus.
De plus, si le home de Ubuntu est sur une partition séparée installée dans un autre disque, comme veut le faire bricefwi77230. le format doit être le ext4, Windows n'a toujours pas accès aux données à partager. Il faut qu'elles soient sur partition de format NTFS

Je pense que , comme bricefwi77230 va être obligé de refaire son installation, il faut réfléchir à l'organisation de ses systèmes sur les disques. Et à l'accès des deux systèmes aux données partagées.

Au sujet de la version de Ubuntu installée... la 15.10.
Sauf impératif d'être obligé d'installer cette version, machine oblige. Je conseille de refaire l'installation avec la version 14.04.3 LTS. La 15.10 ayant un support bien plus court que celui des LTS.

M'enfin Babdu89, où as tu vu que notre ami voulait utiliser un O.S. étranger ? Ou alors j'ai zappé une ligne.
Indépendamment du (ou des) répertoire(s) de stockage des données la séparation du /home et de la racine / ne me parait pas absurde.
D'autre part je plussoie la suggestion d'utiliser une 14.04 LTS.
Sauf impératif d'être obligé d'utiliser Windows, le double boot apporte beaucoup de complications.

@ Braun... Il me semble qu'il y a bien un Windows installé en UEFI la dedans. Ou alors il y a une partition Windows qui a été supprimée... Il manque les fichiers de boot /bootmgr /Boot/BCD
Je vois que les installations des systèmes sont faites en UEFI.

Ou alors, j'y vois de mauvais restes d'une installation de Windows en UEFI, il n'y a que bricefwi77230 qui puisse nous en dire plus au sujet de Windows...

On voit aussi que bricefwi77230 nous a fait un boot info, à partir d'une session live non démarrée en mode UEFI. Çà peut fausser le diagnostique de Boot-Repair.

Donc pour plus de sûreté de ce que j'avance si bricefwi77230, veut bien nous refaire un boot info, en démarrant sa session live en mode UEFI, et poster le nouveau lien ici, on y verra plus clair. Merci.
