[Résolu] Partitionnement UEFI/Installation dual boot avec Windows10

Bonjour à tous,

Je voudrais installer ubuntu sur mon ordinateur qui marche pour l'instant sous windows, j'ai donc suivi ce tutoriel https://openclassrooms.com/courses/repr … -de-linux/.
Cependant, au moment de réfléchir sur les partitions, j'ai vu que j'en avait déjà 3 de base sur mon ordinateur. Sachant que d'après ce tutoriel, il faut deux partitions pour Linux (swap et /) et qu'on ne peut dépasser les 4 partitions, m'est-il impossible d'installer Linux avec cette configuration ?
Si j'opte pour une installation simple, sans faire les partitions moi-même ("Ubuntu va se faire automatiquement de la place sur votre disque dur et créer les partitions pour vous" d'après ce tutoriel), est ce que cela résous le problème ou au contraire y-a-t-il un danger qu'il écrase une partition ou s'installe mal ?
Enfin, a quel point une installation depuis Windows est-elle moins performante ? Cela pourrait être une solution à mon problème de partition, mais étant donné que j'installe Linux surtout pour faire utiliser des logiciels de "calcul" (bionformatique donc comparaisons de séquences, etc), j'ai pensé qu'il serait mieux d'installer Linux depuis le CD comme proposé dans le tutoriel, mais je dois admettre n'y connais pas grand chose.

J'espère que mes questions ne sont pas trop triviales, je débute avec Linux !

Stp, veux tu bien répondre à cette demande?

Faire çà avec la méthode standard. 1.  Et poster dans ta répons l'URL donnée en fin de manip.

Plutôt que de te demander de donner des réponse à de multiples commandes. Au moins on aura pratiquement toutes les information sur ta config, sauf bien le nom de la marque de ta machine et son modèle complet. Renseignements que tu voudras bien donner dans ta réponse. Merci.

Cependant, au moment de réfléchir sur les partitions, j'ai vu que j'en avait déjà 3 de base sur mon ordinateur.

Si c'est depuis Windows, ce n'est pas impossible qu'il ne montre pas les partitions cachées si il y en a. Le boot info les montrera lui .

Effectivement, pour voir les partitions que j'avais de base j'ai utilisé windows.

Concernant ma machine, il s'agit d'un HP notebook 14-ac107nf.

D'ailleurs, je viens de voir que je ne pourrais pas installer Wubi puisque j'ai un ordinateur avec windows 8 préinstallé, du coup ma seule chance pour avoir accès à Linux sera de résoudre mon problème de partitionnement. En tout cas, ma dernière question sur les performances de Wubi n'a pas d'intérêt.

Je pense que ta table des partitions est de type GPT et de ce fait n'a pas la limitation des 4 partitions principales.

PC fixe sous Bionic 64 bits et portable avec Focal 64 bits

Merci, je lis le boot info.

À première vue, ton Windows est installé en mode UEFI. Donc le disque a une table de partitions de type GPT, il n'y a pas la contrainte d'avoir 4 partitions primaire. Ou 3 partitions primaire maxi + une partition étendue où l'on met des partitions logiques comme avec un partitionnement de type MSDOS.
En GPT, toutes les partitions sont des partitions primaire.
Le souci va quand même être, qu'il faudra faire de la place à Ubuntu par la réduction de partitions Windows.

Je lis complètement le boot info, et je reposte ensuite.

Voici un tuto que je te conseille de lire et relire.
Il devrait t'aider efficacement à préparer et installer ton Ubuntu en mode UEFI en dual boot avec Windows.

Si il y a des choses que tu veux approfondir, demande de l'aide ici.
Stp, veux tu bien en modifiant ton premier post, ajouter la mention  UEFI  dans le titre de ton sujet.
Çà aura pour effet d'attirer l'attention des spécialistes (que je ne suis pas encore) des installations en mode UEFI, pour te venir en aide.

Non non!!!.
Il ne faut pas précipiter les choses.
Si je me débrouille bien à la lecture, des rapports boot info d'installations en UEFI, je n'ai pas la capacité comme toi , malbo et d'autres de me permettre de faire modifier le contenu de certain fichiers efi (dont  efibootmgr -v  par exemple).

Non, çà permet de "dégrossir" un peut le travail, et de faire patienter l'utilisateur auprès duquel j'interviens. Mais pas de vraiment pouvoir dépanner. J'ai encore beaucoup à apprendre. Qu'on se le dise... wink  Et toujours pas de machine UEFI/BIOS a disposition à la maison pour le faire. Mes vieilles machines résistent... lol

Pour revenir au post #1 et au tutoriel que Robin10 s’apprêtait à mettre en pratique : Reprenez le contrôle à l'aide de Linux !
Quel tuto pourri ! Pas une seule fois il est mentionné UEFI là-dedans. Il a dû être créé il y a 3 ans ce tuto, et pas mis à jour pour seulement évoquer l’existence de UEFI.

J'ai commencé à regarder ce tuto, je vais essayer de m'en sortir avec lui. Si vous pensez que le fait que j'ai déjà 3 partitions de base ne pose pas de problèmes, ca devrait le faire. Si j'ai des questions je vous demanderais, mais j'espère que je n'en n'aurais pas besoin ! En tout cas merci encore de votre gentilesse.

Ceci dit, je viens de réaliser (je suis un peu lent à l'allumage) que j'ai windows 10 et pas windows 8 comme sur le tuto, il n'y a pas de problème d'incompatibilité reporté windows 10 / ubuntu en dual boot ?

Le tuto "EFI un jeu d'enfant" du site "Libre à Quimperlé" est utilisable pour une installation en dual-boot avec Windows 10 à mon avis. Il y a peut-être quelques petites choses qui sont inadaptées à Windows 10 mais ça doit être peu important. Ceux à qui je l'ai conseillé pour un dual-boot avec Windows 10 n'ont pas signalé de problèmes.

Rebonjour,

J'ai essayé l'installation avec cet méthode, mais malheureusement je n'obtient pas la page de démarrage qui doit me donner le choix entre Ubuntu et Windows, windows se lance automatiquement comme d'habitude.
J'ai essayé de désactiver le safe boot, mais on dirait que ca n'a pas changé grand chose à ce niveau.
L'installation c'est plutôt bien passé, j'ai eu le message d'Ubuntu qui me disait que c'est fini et que je n'avais plus qu'à relancer la machine.
Le seul problème dont j'ai eu conscience est qu’après avoir éteint l'ordinateur, comme j'ai installé à partir d'un DVD, j'ai eu comme d'habitude l'écran qui me disait d'enlever le DVD, de refermer le lecteur et de presser entrée, mais le faire ne m'a pas permis d'éteindre la machine. Du coup, j'ai attendu ~45min puis j'ai éteint à la bourrin avec le bouton de la machine, après avoir essayé d'ouvrir/fermer le lecteur puis entrée plusieurs fois.

Me voilà donc un peu décu et désemparé... Toute aide serait encore la bienvenue ! smile (n'hésitez pas à me demander des détails)

Mais bon, si le diagnostique est bon?. Comment changer çà, la je coince...

Je crois que j'ai essayé de rechanger l'ordre manuellement du boot pour remettre le boot de la machine en 1er, mais ca n'a rien changé, c'est toujours windows qui se lance. La forcément j'ai du remettre le boot du CD/DVD en premier pour pouvoir lancer une live session ! smile

If your computer reboots directly into Windows, try to change the boot order in your BIOS.

Cette installation semble correcte. Le démarrage des ordis HP est souvent verrouillé sur Windows. La solution la plus simple et la plus fiable à mon avis, c'est de presser la touche F9 au démarrage pour faire apparaître le Boot Menu et de sélectionner "ubuntu" dans la liste proposée. Tu devras faire ça à chaque fois que tu voudras démarrer ton ordi sur Ubuntu parce que le démarrage par défaut continuera d'être sur Windows.

EDIT : il y a peut-être une solution alternative à tenter, c'est de faire comme dans ce fil ou celui-là
C'est à dire qu'il faudrait que tu réactives "Secure Boot" (toi tu l'as désactivé d'après ce qu'on peut voir dans le Boot-Info : "SecureBoot disabled"), puis que tu modifies la priorité de démarrage dans le système UEFI pour mettre "ubuntu" en priorité. Dans les fils dont j'ai donné les liens, on voit que ça fonctionne mais je ne suis pas certain que ça peut fonctionner dans ton modèle.
