Multiples plantage logiciels (firefox, thunderbird en particulier)
Salut,
J'utilise ubuntu 14.04 LTS avec mon pc portable Asus F451CA-VX116H acheté il y a environ 2 ans.
Depuis plusieurs mois, je rencontre des plantages intempestifs et fréquents avec différents logiciels, en particulier avec Thunderbird et Firefox avec des SIGSEGV.
Concrètement, les problèmes surviennent rarement en début de session (ça peut être après une quinzaine de minutes comme plusieurs heures) et une fois que les plantages commencent, ils s'enchaînent de plus en plus rapidement avec comme remède le redémarrage de l'ordinateur. À part les soucis avec Firefox et Thunderbird, c'est parfois carrément la session qui crashe avec l'écran qui se fige.
J'ai fait une autre installation d'Ubuntu sur le même ordinateur pour essayer et j'ai fini par rencontrer le même problème.
Selon vous, l'origine du problème peut-elle être matérielle ? Au niveau de la mémoire ou du processeur ?
Est-ce qu'il peut y avoir un lien avec le swap ?

Oui, dans le disque.
Peut-être dans la partition qui abrite tes profils ffox et thunderbird, puisque les plantages mettent du temps à se produire, ce qui pourrait être lié au gonflement du cache.
Mais puisqu'un autre système du même disque présente des symptômes similaires, je pense aussi précisément à l'usure de la mécanique qui ne permet plus un placement précis de la tête de lecture.

sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends smartmontools
puis faire sans ajouter de chiffre :
sudo smartctl -s on -a /dev/sda
et en donner le retour complet.

fais un "memtest" pour tester ta mémoire ram
-pc principal: amd ryzen 2600, 16 go de ram, ssd nvme samsung @ linux mint 19
-mini pc: amd 5350 mini itx fanless, 8go de ram, ssd
-mini pc 2: intel core 2 duo t7200, 1.5 go de ram, gforce 710 (pilote libre) @ linux mint xfce, kernel xanmod
-netbook samsung nc20, via nano 1.3ghz+, 2go de ram, via vx800 @ xubuntu 18.10

Ton disque a eu une erreur à 4752 - 4590 = 162 heures de fonctionnement.
Pas de quoi fouetter un chat.
Il faut explorer d'autres pistes que l'état du disque.

D'accord, donc on met de côté l'hypothèse du disque dur !
Pour ce qui est du memtest, voici les opérations que j'ai effectuées :
- Téléchargement de MemTest86 V6.3.0 depuis http://www.memtest86.com/download.htm
- Installation sur une clé USB de démarrage
- Reconfiguration de l'ordre du démarrage depuis l'UEFI
- Exécution du test
- Arrêt manuel du test après 3h30 et sauvegarde des infos dans un fichier HTML
Je n'arrive malheureusement pas à accéder au contenu de la clé USB depuis ma session mais j'ai pris une photo et des notes donc je vais restituer ici :
Il y a eu de très nombreuses erreurs au long du test (~23000)

tu dois refaire le test pour chaque barette
a partir du moment ou il ya une erreur sur une barette, tu changes
