carte graphique intégrée et Installation Nvidia GeForce 720 SVP

Bonjour à tous,

D'habitude, je me contente de parcourir le forum et de vous lire, et jusque là, j'ai pu trouver à chacun des problèmes que j'ai ou rencontrer, une solution. Merci donc à tous.
Ce coup ci, je galère et ai grandement besoin d'un coup de main.
Je viens d'acheter une carte graphique Nvidia GeForce GT 720 ddr3 LowProfil, dans le but de l'utiliser à la place de ma carte graphique intégrée aux performances médiocres.

J'ai installé hier la Nvidia dans la tour (Lenovo ThinkCentre Mseries).
Depuis, quand je démarre, j'ai ce message d'erreur :

Si je fais abstraction de ce message, le temps d'aller sur internet lire des doc ou parcourir les forums, au bout d'un moment j'ai mon écran qui fige partiellement. (l'heure défile toujours, mais impossible de faire quoi que ce soit sur l'ordi, le clavier et la souris ne répondent plus)

J'ai pensé qu'il fallait peut être désactiver la carte graphique intégrée. Mais... je ne sais pas comment faire. Ce qu'indique la page sur vga switcheroo ne fonctionne pas dans mon cas.

Dans le dossier /etc/X11/ il n'y a pas de fichier nommé xorg.conf , je ne peux donc pas le copier ici.

Edit :

Je ne peux pas non plus installer le driver Nvidia, j'ai ce message d'erreur dans le terminal :

J'ai testé ceci (trouvé sur un forum)

sudo /etc/init.d/lightdm stop 

pour arrêter le X server (je n'ai pas compris ce que c'était...)
Et l'écran devient noir, il ne se passe rien. J'ai redémarré une fois de plus avec un ctrl+Alt+Suppr

Mon écran est un Samsung LS22MEVSF-EDC
Processeur 8x Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Memory 16390MB

En gros, je ne sais pas ce qu'il faut faire pour que la carte Nvidia soit installée correctement, comment désactiver la carte intégrée.

Je suis allée dans le gestionnaire de paramètres, logiciels et mises à jour, puis pilotes additionnels. Et là s'affichent :

Utilisation de serveur X X.org – pilote d'affichage Nouveau depuis xserver-xorg-videao-nouveau (libre)

Faut-il décocher XX.org, et cocher une des cases Nvidia (si oui laquelle ?
Le pilote télécharger depuis le site n'est pas utile ?
Désactiver XX va désactiver la carte graphique intégré ou juste un pilote ?
Dites moi s'il manque des infos pour me venir en aide, je compléterai.

Je n'ai plu aucun message d'erreur au démarrage, plus d'écran qui freeze.
Hourra !
Juste un dernier problème... Au démarrage, le PC démarre sur l'autre carte graphique, j'en suis sûre.
Mon affichage Bios avec la possibilité de cliquer sur F* n’apparaît pas. J'ai du noir jusqu'à l'apparition de mon bureau. Quelques carrés blancs sur celui ci. Et tout rentre dans l'ordre comme si ça basculait entre la carte graphique intégrée et la Nvidia.
J'espère que j'explique bien (?)
Ce serait quand même bien que je puisse désactiver la carte graphique au démarrage également. Je pourrais avoir besoin des options de mon Bios un jour, ne serait que pour faire démarrer le pc sur un disque genre memory test.
Si quelqu'un a une idée :-) je suis preneuse.
