[Résolu] uefi ou bios
bonjour je vous explique mon problème .
Pour moi étant de la vielle époque tout pc se base sur un bios et un os .
MA copine a un lenovo ideapad 100 2GO ram bref un minitel
d'ou coup j ai décidé de suprimer son Windows 10 et le faire passé sur xubuntu
manip habituel crée une clef bootable et c parti sauf que la ....... omg c koi se truc
pas de bios je fait 2 3 recherche et je découvre UEFI c koi se truc bon je suis un petit tuto windows qui m'explique groso merdo une manip a faire pour lancer la clef sans bios et la nickel le boot se lance xubuntu s'instale
hier j'ai heu la bonne idée de mettre lubuntu voir si j'avait un gain intérressant sur lubuntu et la le drame comment lancer la clef bootable je regarde 2 3 tuto linux et la ils me disent que quand j'était sur windows j'aurai du bloqué UEFI dans le bios sauf que plus moyen d'avoir accés au bios au bout de 3h je pete un cable prend mes cojones et me dit et puis merde aller op formatage partition uefi
donc plus de partition et la ......... le bios decide enfin de me dire bonjour j'instale lubuntu et me voila .
tout sa pour vous demander si sa vaut le coup que je refasse une partition uefi ou pas et savoir se qui change réellement entre un démarage UEFI et legacy basic par ce que a par changer le bios bloquer les boots et une histoire de 2.2to je vois pas le truc

savoir se qui change réellement entre un démarage UEFI et legacy basic
Aucun impact sur le fonctionnement. Si ça marche bien comme ça, ne change rien.

mais si je re instale une distribution lynux elle me demandera si je veut l instaler en uefi et crera t elle la partition toute seule ?

Non, si tu réinstalles Ubuntu, si tu remplaces Ubuntu par une autre distribution ou même si tu installes une autre distribution à côté de Ubuntu, jamais il ne te sera demandé si tu veux installer en UEFI ou en mode Bios (Legacy) : l'installateur de la distribution détectera automatiquement que ton mode de démarrage est le mode Bios (Legacy) et l'installation sera faite dans ce mode.

Donc si je comprend bien je suis obligé de cree une partition uefie avant de reinstaller 1 autre distribution mais franchement sur des petites config sa vaut vraiment le coup je voi vraiment pas le gain

Je te prie de faire un Boot-Info depuis une session du Lubuntu installé et donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse. Je vais tenter de t'expliquer sur la base de ce Boot-Info parce que tu ne comprends pas.

Ubuntu 1604 est installé en mode Legacy et le disque boot en ce même mode.
T'as une partition primaire sur quatre qui prends toute la place du disque (si tu veux mettre une autre distro).
La partition étendue est pour la swap. Mais avec celle-ci, il ne te reste que 2 partitions primaires.

Lubuntu est installé en mode non-EFI donc en mode Bios classique. C'est conforme à ce que tu avais expliqué dans ton post #1. Il n'y a aucune partition EFI dans ton disque dur et il n'y a aucune raison d'en créer une. Pour n'importe quel installateur de Linux ou de Windows, ton ordi se comporte comme un vieil ordi équipé du Bios (du fait que tu as sélectionné le mode de démarrage Legacy dans ton "Bios" au lieu de UEFI) donc tu n'as pas à créer de partition EFI. Je ne sais pas si ça va suffire pour calmer ton inquiétude...

le pc o depart etait en uefi j ai supr la partition sur le disque dur du coup je l ai fait repartir en legancy je me demander juste savoir si il y avait des pertes de perf significatives ... ou pas en gros savoir se qui changé entre efi et legacy
par ce que a part empeche le boot et l histoire des 2.2to je voi pas se qui change
et si un jour je voulé le remetre en efi comment faire et si c etait possible de le fair a partir de linux ou si c t plus simple de le faire a partir de windows

Si un jour tu crois avoir besoin de remettre EFI (je me demande bien pourquoi mais supposons), je te propose de consulter d'abord le forum pour qu'on puisse échanger avec toi sur l'utilité ou pas de faire ce changement et pour t'assister si tu as des difficultés. Pour l'instant, je pense que tu devrais passer la discussion en "Résolu" en procédant comme suit :
1) connecte-toi sur le forum
2) clic sur "Modifier" qui se trouve en bas à droite de ton PREMIER message
3) Modifie le titre de la discussion afin qu'il devienne :
[Résolu] uefi ou bios
