Lecture données GPS de Garmin Foretrex 301 / Ubuntu 16.04

Bonjour,
J'ai Ubuntu 16.04.
Je souhaite les données GPS d'un Garmin Foretrex 301.
Je branche via le câble USB fourni. Le GPS s'allume.
Mais je ne vois aucun dossier correspondant au GPS.
Que dois-je faire svp?
Merci d'avance.

Bonjour,
Tu devrais commencer par rendre ton dernier message plus lisible en mettant le retour de la commande  entre balises "code".

On voit, vers la fin de dmesg, que ton appareil est bien reconnu. As-tu paramétré un montage automatique des disques externes ?

Hier j'ai fait la même chose que toi avec un Forerunner225, la mémoire interne de la montre s'est bien affichée. Par contre les fichiers me semblent être dans un format propriétaire dont l'extension est .FIT.
Cela demande certainement une conversion pour être lisible par un logiciel de cartographie comme Viking ou autre.

Non. Je n'ai rien paramétré du tout. J'ai installé Ubuntu.
Quand je mets une clé USB, son contenu s'affiche dans un dossier.

Installes gpsbabel

sudo apt-get install gpsbabel

et essayes cette commande :

gpsbabel -t -w -i garmin -f /dev/ttyUSB0 -o gpx -F garmin_downloaded.gpx

Tu devrais avoir un fichier garmin_downloaded.gpx dans ton dossier home avec les traces gps

Pour afficher ces traces tu peux effectivement utiliser le logiciel Viking

Il faut passer par un logiciel qui s'appelle  garmin-forerunner-tools

Donc l'installer

sudo apt-get install garmin-forerunner-tools

Pour décharger les traces, aller dans le dossier GPS que tu viens de créer

cd GPS

Et décharger les traces :

garmin_save_runs

Il manque peut être le fichier des règles pour ton GPS

sudo gedit /etc/udev/rules.d/51-garmin.rules

Ton fichier devrait être vide

Tu ajoutes cette ligne au fichier :

SUBSYSTEM=="usb", SYSFS{idVendor}=="091e", SYSFS{idProduct}=="23fc", MODE="666", GROUP="plugdev"

Tu enregistres le fichier
Tu redémarres
Tu branches et allumes ton GPS
Tu réessayes la commande :

Je viens d'avoir un souci avec mon GPS Garmin etrex : je n'arrivais plus à voir mon périphérique dans /dev (ttyUSB0)
Donc j'ai supprimé le paquet garmin-forerunner-tools et ça a refonctionné.

Supprimes le paquet garmin-forerunner-tools

sudo apt-get remove garmin-forerunner-tools

et ce qui ne te sert à rien

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge

puis donne la sortie de

ls /dev/

quand ton gps forerunner est branché

Je recolle au peloton !
Effectivement, le contexte de mon post N°4 est bien sans "paquet complémentaire" et donc sans garmin-forerunner-tools dont j'ignorais l'existence.
J'ai branché et la mémoire de la montre est montée, sans même une règle udev. J'ai pu copier les fichiers contenus.

Par contre j'ai dû utiliser un site internet pour convertir le fichier .FIT en .gpx, ce qui fait perdre l'enregistrement du rythme cardiaque.
Il semble que le plugin garmin pour firefox n'est plus maintenu.

Il faudrait demander à Tamarou, ce qu'il a fait pour que ça fonctionne.
Quel est le type de la partition (VFAT ?)
Voir les droits. Apparemment ça se monte directement
