[Résolu] Espace insuffisant dans /boot
Bonsoir,
J'ai rencontré des difficultés pour faire des mises à jours par manque d'espace disque. Donc il me faut supprimer des fichiers inutiles. Pour cela, j'ai installé l'outil Fslint, mais je ne sais pas comment l'utiliser.
Il y a plusieurs catégories de fichiers pouvant être supprimés et c'est très facile à les trouver avec Fslint : duplicatas, paquets installés, mauvais noms, etc. Mais j'ai peur de faire des bêtises en supprimant des fichiers.
Depuis quelques jours, chaque démarrage, j'ai un message en me demandant de faire de nettoyage dans "boot", car il me reste que 5 Mo d'espace. Je ne sais pas comment le système a choisi ce dossier "boot" pour les mises à jours et y mettre des fichiers inutiles ? Comment je peux nettoyer le dossier "boot" qui a une capacité de 200 Mo ?

Bonjour,
Quand tu as besoin d'aide, il est préférable d'ouvrir tes propres discussion. J'ai détaché ton message de la discussion où tu l'avais posté.
Ton problème va pouvoir se résoudre avec quelques commandes à passer dans un terminal. Je vais avoir besoin des retours complets de tout ça (suis le mode d'emploi plus bas) :
cat /etc/issue
uname -a
echo "${XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP}"
df -h
df -i
dpkg -l | grep -Ei "linux-(g|h|i|lo|si|t)"
ls -l /boot | sort -rn -k5
Utilisation des balises code - Voilà la marche à suivre :
Ouvre le terminal avec ctrl-alt-t
Sélectionne la commande voulue avec un triple clic (ça sélectionne toute la ligne, même la fin si on ne la voit pas)
Colle-la dans le terminal avec un clic molette, valide avec Entrée
Sélectionne et copie tout ce que te dit le terminal depuis la commande jusqu'à le dernière ligne incluse
Colle là où se trouve le curseur (entre le ] et le [)
Refais toutes les étapes depuis la 2 pour les autres commandes.

@yoyo_et_yoyo : tes retours de commandes ne sont pas complets. Un retour complet doit contenir toutes les lignes depuis celle de la commande jusqu'à la ligne attendant la commande suivante, exemple :

Oui mais avec un /boot séparé, on n'atteint jamais de tels niveaux. Ça sature entre 5 et 7 noyaux.

Je me demande si, plutôt qu'un rm, remettre à zéro les fichiers ciblés n'aurait pas suffi à permettre de faire une désinstallation normale de ces paquetages.
Une fois les fichiers vidés (et du coup, il y aura de l'espace disque libréré dans /boot), ces fichiers resteront présents pour que le gestionnaire de paquetages puisse les supprimer lui-même.

En fait cela dépend essentiellement de la façon dont tu as installé Ubuntu.
Avec une installation " classique " tu n'auras pas cette partition boot et donc tu ne te retrouveras pas avec une saturation au bout de seulement 5 ou 6 noyaux ( il faut savoir par ailleurs qu'un nouveau noyau s'installe tous les mois en moyenne, donc ça bloque vite ! )
Sans doute que lors de ton installation d'Ubuntu tu as du cocher les cases Cryptage ou LVM, ce qui n'est pas une bonne idée en général car cela génère de nombreux souci ( donc celui ci )

J'ai installé ubuntu sur un pc sous Windows 7. Au moment de faire une partition du disque, j'ai créé une partie "boot" selon une vidéo sur youtube. J'ai installé initialement la version 12.04 avec un CD, mais je n'ai pas de souvenir d'avoir coché une case particulière. Est-ce qu'il y a un moyenne pour que le système mettre à jour sur le dossier "home" ou un autre dossier, ou alors je suis obligé de faire un nettoyage tous les 5-6 mois ?
Est-ce que le passage de 12.04 vers 14.04 a créé cette situation ? Ce passage est fait par une mise à niveau qui m'a causé pas mal de problème sur la connexion wifi pendant plusieurs mois (je suis obligé d'utiliser Ethernet), et puis un jour, le wifi ré-fonctionnait et je ne sais pas pour quelle raison.

En 12.04, les noyaux devaient être supprimés manuellement.
En 14.04, il y a eu un système automatique (apt autoremove) mais je ne l'aime pas.
J'utilise donc kclean.

J'ai exécuté individuellement tes 7 lignes de commande, et j'ai collecté chaque réponse une à une. je ne savais pas qu'il faut aussi les lignes de commande. Je peux le refaire.

Ces commandes font du vide :
cd /boot
sudo rm initrd.img-3.13.0-8* initrd.img-3.2.0-97-generic-pae initrd.img-3.13.0-92-generic
et celles-là font les mises à jour :
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgrade
Et bien sûr, j'ai besoin de tous les retours.

Voici le retour de l'exécution de nettoyage + mise à jour,. Apparemment, le nettoyage a fonctionné, puisque la mise à jour demande plus de 11 Mo d'espace, mais je ne sais pas si la mise à jour est terminée correctement avec un "traitement des actions différées (« triggers »)". Est-ce qu'il y a encore des actions à faire ?

Pour quoi vous n’aimez pas "apt autoremove" (la suppression n'est pas propre?) et comment faire manuellement ?
La prochaine fois, pour faire de l'espace dans le dossier "boot", je lancerai les mêmes commandes ("cd /boot", puis, "sudo rm initrd.img-3.13.0-8* initrd.img-3.2.0-97-generic-pae initrd.img-3.13.0-92-generic") ?

Voici le retour de l'exécution de nettoyage + mise à jour,. Apparemment, le nettoyage a fonctionné, puisque la mise à jour demande plus de 11 Mo d'espace, mais je ne sais pas si la mise à jour est terminée correctement avec un "traitement des actions différées (« triggers »)". Est-ce qu'il y a encore des actions à faire ?
Tout s'est bien passé, que ce soit le nettoyage ou les mises à jour.
On va encore faire un peu de nettoyage mais avant, j'aimerais que tu redémarres ton ordinateur et que tu me donnes :

J'ai installé ubuntu sur un pc sous Windows 7. Au moment de faire une partition du disque, j'ai créé une partie "boot" selon une vidéo sur youtube.
Tu aurais la possibilité de retrouver cette vidéo STP, et de donner le lien ici ? cela m'intéresse...
Dommage la documentation prévenait pourtant bien du coté dangereux de cette partition /boot

Voici le retour de l'exécution après le redémarrage.
C'est parfait. Alors on arrive à la dernière étape du nettoyage avec un petit script d'une efficacité redoutable : kclean.
Si tu n'as pas encore installé ce script, c'est là. Si tu cliques sur le lien .deb, ça doit s'installer, habituellement avec la logithèque.
Ensuite, tu peux le lancer avec la commande :
sudo kclean -k
Il va te montrer la liste des noyaux qu'il va supprimer et te demander :
Voulez vous indiquer manuellement des paquets à conserver ? [o/N] :
Tu réponds n
Ensuite :
Voulez vous supprimer l'ensemble des paquets indiques ? [o/N] :
Tu réponds o
Après ça, on regarde le résultat :

Voilà, ton problème est résolu. À l'avenir, pense à lancer régulièrement un coup de kclean pour ne pas te retrouver à nouveau bloqué.
