choix distribution

bonjour à tous
j'utilise Ubuntu sur mon pc fixe hp pavilion depuis quelques années, je suis récemment passé à Ubuntu 16.04 et là plus d'image, écran noir. Faute de solution je suis repassé à 15.04 puis 14.04 et plus de son (et en 14.04 des problèmes pour me débarasser de menus en anglais). Bref je perds un peu patience. J'aurais dû tester avant d'upgrader mais le mal est fait. Du coup j'envisage d'installer une nouvelle version mais laquelle? voire même hors ubuntu? (je sais c'est un forum ubuntu)

pour information c'est un système 64 bits, et la carte grahique est Trinity Radean HD7480D, la carte son AMD FCH Azalia

Bonjour,

Ton problème n'est pas spécifiquement lié à Ubuntu. Passer à une autre distrib ne t'évitera pas forcément ce genre de désagrément. A moins peut-être d'envisager une distrib de type rolling-release.

Tu as fait une mise à niveau directement depuis la 14.04 ? Cela ne se passe pas toujours très bien (notamment à cause des pilotes graphiques propriétaires entre autres). Aussi recommande t'on habituellement plutôt une installation propre plutôt qu'une migration.

Personnellement, je serais resté avec la 14.04 qui est déjà bien éprouvée et qui est maintenue jusqu'en 2019. Au point où tu en es, autant installer la 16.04 que tu peux quand même tester la en live.

Avais-tu fait une sauvegarde de tes données personnelles ? Sinon, il faudrait essayer de récupérer ton home avant de mettre en route quoi que ce soit.

Bonjour,
J'ai vu un post de toi (ici) qui indique que ton ordi est une tour dont le nom du modèle est HP Pavilion p6-2310ef. On peut voir le descriptif de ce modèle sur cette page. La "carte" graphique Radeon HD 7480D que tu as mentionnée dans ton post #1 est en fait sur la même puce que le processeur AMD A4-5300 (on le voit sur cette page, dans la partie "Integrated peripherals / components") 
Depuis une session live de Ubuntu 16.04 ou Ubuntu 14.04, je te prie de faire un Boot-Info et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse. La partie graphique de ton ordi n'étant pas bien gérée par Ubuntu, je pense que pour parvenir à démarrer ta session live, tu seras obligé d'utiliser l'option nomodeset (procéder comme ceci pour ajouter cette option nomodeset si le démarrage se fait en mode EFI, et procéder comme ça si le démarrage se fait en mode non-EFI)

Si la 14.04 fonctionnait bien (il faudrait savoir avec quel noyau par contre...), pas de nécessité de changer de distribution en effet smile

la je suis sous ubuntu 14 mais avec des problemes de configuration
pour malbo j ai fait comme tu as dit en live avec la 16.04 et voila le resultat du boot info

Ce qui indique la présence d'un chiffrage du dossier personnel. Tu confirmes ?
Moi je n'y connais pas grand chose dans tout ce qui est chiffrage. Est-ce que tu sais récupérer les données qui sont actuellement chiffrées dans cette installation ou bien es-tu dans une merde noire ?

Autre chose : on voit qu'il y a la version 14.10 qui est installée dans cet extrait :

ah oui sur mon dernier essai j'ai fait un chiffrage (je l'ai sur mon portable pour des raisons professionnelles et pas de souci)
mais sinon comme j'ai tout sauvegardé, on peut repartir à zéro

Je pense que ça vaut le coup de faire une installation toute neuve de Ubuntu 16.04.1 64 bits. Tu devras utiliser l'option nomodeset comme tu l'as fait suivant mes directives du post #3. Après l'installation, il faudra aussi que tu utilises l'option nomodeset pour parvenir à démarrer sur le Ubuntu installé suivant mes explications de ce post : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.p … 1#p9820021
Ce sera une procédure à utiliser à chaque démarrage sur le Ubuntu installé tant que tu n'auras pas trouvé la bonne solution pour gérer l'affichage (nomodeset, ça donne une sorte d'affichage sans échec mais ce n'est pas valable pour avoir un affichage performant) avec l'aide des spécialistes du forum "Affichage et cartes graphiques".

À noter qu'un téléchargement de l'iso de la version 16.04.1 (ou .n) avec toutes les mises à jour du moment intégrées dès l'installation est possible officiellement ici : http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xenial/daily-live/current/

(Un autre moyen d'installer directement avec les mises à jour du moment est d'utiliser l'installeur minimal netboot (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/netboot/xenial/), mais il n'y a alors pas de possibilité de session live préalable, ni d'installeur en mode graphique, et il faut que l'ordi où l'on installe soit connecté à internet de manière fiable et à débit correct).

Merci, je vais peut être tenter ça (et aussi tester la version la plus récente comme suggéré par linoll)
juste pour être sûr (je n'ai pas la machine sous la main avant lundi): je mets une clé live, je mets l'option nomodeset et je lance la version live puis l'installation?
ceci dit j'ai un doute: tu me dis que je devrai le faire à chaque démarrage mais dans le lien que tu me donnes si je vais voir boot-repair et que je modifie, je n'aurai plus à faire la manip?
autre question de béotien: dans boot-repair, est ce que nomodeset apparaît dans la liste des options de GRUB?
et je vais poster dans affichage et cartes graphiques ma question

Et si cette version 16.04.1 mise à jour ne faisait toujours pas l'affaire, il y a un moyen tout fraichement disponible de constater si le noyau Linux actuel 4.8 avec les pilotes graphiques libres les plus récents résolvent le problème puisque la version 16.10 (de court terme mais très réussie) est désormais disponible ici : http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/yakkety/release/ (à savoir que, vers le début 2017, la version 16.04.2 offrira aussi ce noyau 4.8 et ces pilotes graphiques actualisés).

@linoll : j'ai indiqué dans le post #3 le modèle et les composants principaux de l'ordi de Aurelle. Tu pourras constater que l'APU est un AMD A4-5300 sorti en 2012 si j'en crois cette page. Du coup, je ne comprends pas pourquoi le noyau Linux 4.8 avec les pilotes graphiques libres les plus récents pourrait mieux gérer l'ordi de Aurelle que la 16.04.1 "de base".

Il n'y a aucun doute que le noyau Linux 4.8 gère mieux ce matériel que le 4.4 (je ne vais même pas argumenter, il n'y a qu'à directement aller lire les nouveaux apports des noyaux Linux 4.5 puis 4.6 puis 4.7 puis 4.8 sur https://kernelnewbies.org/Linux_4.5 ou sur https://linuxfr.org/). Mais par contre (et ce n'est pas la même question) je veux bien comprendre qu'on préfère recommander aux nouveau venu de s'en tenir au noyau fourni officiellement dans la distribution LTS (en l'occurence puisqu'il devrait déjà "suffisament bien" gérer le matériel en question).

Tu vas déjà essayer Ubuntu 16.04.1 et si ça fonctionne bien, moi je te conseille de rester avec cette version et avec le noyau 4.4.

bonsoir à tous
je n'ai pas pu m'occuper tout de suite de la réinstallation: j'ai testé la 16.04 en live, ça marchait bien mais ça buggait à l'installation. Du coup je suis passé à la 16.10 et là tout marche bien pour le moment

Merci pour le retour d'info. Le conseil de linoll était bon. Mais note bien que la date de fin de soutien de la version 16.10 est Juillet 2017 (source) et que tu seras obligé de changer de version après cette date : soit passer à la version suivante 17.04 actuellement en développement soit retenter la 16.04 pour laquelle il existera la version 16.04.2 (voir ici) équipée du même noyau Linux 4.8 que la 16.10

Juste pour dire qu’avec AMD, on est vraiment dans les problèmes. Ubuntu, à juste titre, a envoyé balader AMD qui fait n’importe quoi et se fiche de GNU/Linux. Donc, cet APU marchait avec Ubuntu 14.04 et ne marche plus avec le noyau 4.4 et Mesa actuel.
C’est pas parce que le noyau est plus récent que ça marche mieux. Avec AMD et Nvidia, on a toujours des surprises.
je cherche du matériel récent pour des amis, c’est vraiment un casse-tête. C’est pas mieux chez Intel, dans les trucs récents. Gigabyte GA-B250M-D3H http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00221355.html

Je ne peux pas leur installer la 16.10 qui dure très peu, ou la 17.04 instable aujourd’hui, puis repasser à la 16.04.2, c’est du n’importe quoi pour des gens qui n’y connaissent rien et qui sont loin de chez moi.

Ils sont nuls ces constructeurs de puces et ça ne s’arrange pas. grrr

EDIT: en fait, il y a peut-être une meilleure solution: Debian Jessie avec le noyau du dépôt Backports 4.8: https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.p … #p21672095
Et là on est parti pour plusieurs années.
