[Résolu]Suppression windows XP sur un deuxième DD

Bonjour à tous

Sur un vieux PC j'ai 2 DD.
1DD avec MX-16 et
sur l'autre DD, XP, que je veux virer,mais Grub se trouve sur le MBR.

Que se passera -t'il après la suppression d'XP?

Aurais-je accès avec un live cd à repérer les 2 DD?

Vais je pouvoir installer MX 16 sur le deuxième DD?

Comme j'ignore la suite de cette manip,je fais appel à vos connaissances et à votre indulgence pour cette question.

Je suis sur un dvd live
La fenetre= ecrire sur un papier l URL suivante n apparait pas,j ai celle ci un nouveau fichier Boot-info 2016-11-25 va s ouvrir j ai sauvegarde le rapport,
Dois-je en faire un copier/coller
Desole le clavier est en qwerty

En changeant la séquence de boot dans le bios.
Stp, veux tu bien dire ce qu'il se passe en démarrant la machine sur le disque /dev/sda, celui où est installé Windows, et en démarrant sur le disque /dev/sdb, celui où est installé MX-16 ?.
Tu vas confirmer;
Sur le disque /sda il y a affichage du menu Grub les Os démarrent.
Sur le disque/sdb, je pense que çà ne démarre pas. Possible message d'erreur. Si oui, indiquer le contenu du message.

ÉDIT;
Pour les contributeurs qui passent, ceci ne me semble pas correcte.

 => Grub2 (v1.99-2.00) is installed in the MBR of /dev/sdb and looks at sector 
    1 of the same hard drive for core.img, but core.img can not be found at 
    this location.

C'est ce qui me fait penser que çà ne démarrera pas.

En réponse à ta demande,en changeant la séquence de boot dans le bios,et en vérifiant le nom des DD avec Gparted je confirme que le DD windows permet de choisir la distribution.

Le DD MX-16 affiche le message suivant:
error:file /boot/grub2/i386-pc/normal-mod' not found,entering rescue mode.

Je galère pour te fournir le boot info à partir de MX 16 y compris avec
https://sourceforge.net/projects/bootin … p_redirect
où il y a une erreur de syntaxe que je n'arrive pas à corriger:
sudo ./bootinfoscript <outputfile>

Tu ne dois pas perdre de vue que je serai un éternel newbie!

Le DD MX-16 affiche le message suivant:
error:file /boot/grub2/i386-pc/normal-mod' not found,entering rescue mode.

C'est bien ce que pensais.

Pour tenter d'installer/utiliser boot-info dans la MX-16

https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/boot-info

Dans la doc, est écrit;
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair
puis;
sudo apt-get update
puis;
sudo apt-get install -y boot-repair boot-info
et enfin pour lancer l'outil;
boot-info
Cliquez sur le bouton Rapport en ligne:

Faire des copier/coller des commandes pour éviter les erreurs de transcription.

Si le boot info confirme mes impressions, on va faire ceci.

Réinstaller Grub dans la MX-16, comme ceci.

Vérifier que le disque où est la MX-16 est bien /dev/sdb2

sudo blkid

devrait retourner;

/dev/sdb2: LABEL="rootMX-16" UUID="1f3fcfb1-cad7-4e20-824f-97ff3f5d3111"   ext4

Si c'est bien çà, sinon adapter, pour (sudo grub-install /dev/sdb)

Réinstallation de Grub.

 
sudo os-prober
  
sudo update-grub
  
sudo grub-install /dev/sdb

Redémarrer en changeant la séquence de démarrage dans le Bios, pour la machine démarre définitivement sur le disque où est la MX-16. Dire si çà démarre effectivement.
Si oui, tu pourras ensuite supprimer Windows du disque où il est installé, avec Gparted .

Tout d'abord,un grand merci pour le temps passé, ton efficacité et tes connaissances qui servent à bon nombre d'entre nous.

Pour info
-sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair: command not found

-Dans le gestionnaire de paquets synaptic de MX16,Boot-info-script est soi disant installé,mais impossible de le trouver dans l'onglet "système" y compris en utilisant le "moteur de recherche" des applications installées.
C'est la raison pour laquelle j'écrivais que je galérais.

Ne pouvant pas t'envoyer le Boot info à partir de la MX 16,tu avais suffisamment cadré tes "instructions" pour que je décide de les réaliser.

Tout s'est passé comme indiqué grub est installé sur /dev/sdb.

Je passe la discussion en résolue.
