Session XUBUNTU sans souci ? Non sans souris et sans réseau

Bonjour,
Après avoir réorganisé mes sessions de démarrage (3 sur mon système), avec Grub Customizer
j'en ai neutralisé une partition sous Ubuntu/Gnome,
et laissé opérationnelles une sous Xubuntu et une sous LinuxMint.
Celle sous Xubuntu apparait avec des polices énormes et un écran rikiki mais SANS SOURIS !
J'ai tenté une récupération avec ALT -F1 puis relance avec CTRL-ALT-F1

sudo /etc/init.d/lightm stop

puis

sudo /etc/init.d/lightm start

sans changement.
J'ai même placé dans un autre répertoire les dossiers cachés de /home/olivier, là aussi sans changement
N'y a-t-il pas un fichier modifié qui bloquerait ?
Comment retrouver une session propre sans devoir tout réinstaller (ça je sais faire, mais c'est très long) ?
En quoi Grub Optimizer modifierait-il mes sessions à ouvrir ?
Je ne l'ai utilisé que pour déplacer l'ordre des partitions dans les grubs, pas leurs paramètres  !

Je tente ... Hélas, il semble que ce soit un problème à tiroirs
Lors du lancement de la commande ...

sudo apt install --reinstall xubuntu-desktop

fr.archive.ubuntu.com est introuvable.
Même le ping ne fonctionne pas. Je cherche

En synthèse
- la souris ne fonctionne pas
- le réseau ne fonctionne pas
- l'écran affiche une définition faible
- ma partition sous LinuxMint (sur un autre disque) fonctionne, a accès au réseau, etc ...
