[Résolu] démarrage impossible
Au démarrage sous Xubuntu 16.04, j'ai eu le message « Grub rescue ».
Comme je ne savais pas quoi faire, j'ai éteint l'ordi (Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 - DD 250Go - Ram 2Go) au redémarrage suivant, j'ai eu un écran noir avec le '_' qui clignote.
J'ai essayé avec les CDRom Ubuntu et Xubuntu (16.04) : je rentre dans l'ordi, mais impossible de trouver les données du DD.
Co j'avais sauvegardé les données, j'ai réinstaller UBUNTU 16.04.
tout a bien fonctionné pendant un mois, puis la même panne vient de se reproduire.
Je peux démarrer avec le CDRom et utiliser normalement l'ordi mais sans accès possible au DD.
J'ai eu aussi un message avec l'expression « built in shell » suivit de l'invite de commande, mais je n'ai su qu'en faire.
Que faire ?

Salut !
l'idéal serait de lancer à nouveau un live CD, d'installer l'outil Disques (gnome-disk-utility) et voir les données SMART du disque en cause.

Je te prie de démarrer en session live sur le "CDRom" (ce doit être un DVD, pas un CD) et faire un Boot-Info depuis cette session live. Tu donneras l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse.

Merci pour vos réponses.
En fait, l'ordi s'est dépanné tout seul ! Je m'explique. Après l'avoir utilisé pendant un temps avec les DVD ubuntu et surtout xubuntu (plus rapide), je l'ai redémarré en oubliant de remettre le DVD et j'ai eu l'écran mauve avec un choix d'option de démarrages. j'ai choisi le mode recovery avec le noyau le plus ancien et toute la procédure s'est mise en route avec réparation du grub entre autre.
Ensuite au redémarrage j'ai retrouvé un ordi comme avant la panne.
Ce qui fait que je ne peux répondre à vos demandes.
Cependant, j'aimerai bien savoir ce qui s'est passé, car je m'attends à ce qu'un jour la panne revienne.
Merci de m'éclairer si vous avez un peu de temps.

Puisque tu parviens à démarrer sur ton Ubuntu installé, je te prie de faire un Boot-Info depuis une session de ce Ubuntu installé et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse. Motif : avec un Boot-Info, en cas de problème futur petit ou grand, on peut mieux t'aider à réparer.

Pourrais-tu donner le retour de
sudo smartctl -s on -a /dev/sda
histoire de voir l'état de santé du DD.

Oui, je me doutais qu'il y avait un loup avec la RAM parce que l'installateur automatique de Ubuntu a créé une partition swap d'environ 1 Go (voir le Boot-Info que j'ai collé dans le post #8). Si l'installateur de Ubuntu avait "vu" 2 Go de RAM, il aurait créé une swap d'environ 2 Go. En bref, il est possible que tu aies installé 2 barrettes de RAM de 1 Go chacune dans cet ordi mais si c'est bien le cas, il y a une des deux barrettes qui n'est pas détectée.

Le problème, ce n'est pas la taille de la swap, c'est la taille de la RAM : tu as écrit dans le post #1 que tu as 2 Go de RAM or Ubuntu ne trouve que 1 Go de RAM. Donc soit tu racontes une connerie dans le post #1, soit tu as une barrette de RAM défectueuse.

OK. Je maintiens que je n'ai pas dis de connerie puisque je l'ai changée moi-même. Si il y une défectueuse, comment savoir laquelle pour la changer ?
Une fois changée, Ubuntu reconnaitra-t-il la mémoire ?
En regardant ds le setup du bios j'avais vu que les 2Go étaient bien là.
