Bonjour,
Juste deux choses à faire avant tout : supprimer les deux autres messages que tu as créés simultanément à celui-ci (les doublons ne sont pas bien vus sur le forum), et placer tes retours entre balises code (ce que tu as mis "in extenso" n'est pas lisible et rebutera les intervenants pour t'apporter de l'aide !
Plus de 50 ans d'informatique, ça en fait des lignes de commandes en console, mais on n'avait pas le choix...
Excellente raison pour, aujourd'hui qu'on le peut, utiliser au maximum les INTERFACES GRAPHIQUES !

Bonjour, désolé pour mon post précédent mon ordi Windows blindé de virus m'a fait envoyé plusieurs fois le post.
J'ai mis à jour mon pc portable en passant par le gestionnaire de mise à jour me proposant la mise à niveau.
Seulement... apparemment il fallait mettre une clef usb avec l'iso d'Ubuntu ou quelque chose comme çà selons certains forum ???oO
Donc la MAJ au bout de 3h d'installation plante au redémarrage de la machine à la fin. Je redémarre manuellement la machine et depuis j'ai constament le message d'érreur suivant(meme si je choisis de booter sur les 6auytres versions d'Ubuntu proposées au démarrage) :
message sur fond npoir et en écriture blanche dont la fin est :

J'ai fais un boot repair disk depuis un usb live boot repair disk 64bits et je vous ai mis le compte rendu dans un fichier txt :

Ça, non, sûrement pas ! Je ne sais pas où tu as lu qu'il fallait brancher une clé USB pour faire une mise à niveau, mais ça ne tient pas debout. En revanche, il est possible que tu aies vu une manière de monter de version en utilisant une "live-USB" plutôt que la mise à niveau en ligne, ce genre de procédure existe effectivement.
Quand tu dis que "la MAJ plante à la fin", tu entends qu'elle était terminée (correctement, sans erreur, sans panne) et qu'au redémarrage tu t'es retrouvé avec un "kernel panic" ?
Note: Je pose la question juste pour bien préciser le contexte, parce-que sur ce type de problème, je ne saurai pas t'aider, désolé...

Oui autant pour moi j'ai du mal interpreter.
DIsons que je n'arrive pas bien à situer(j'étais fatigué), j'ai lancé la maj puis 3h après elle n'était toujours pas finit. Je suis partis me coucher et au réveil, j'atterrie sur un écran violet(vous savez celui d'Ubuntu) et une sorte avec l'écran au couleur rouge qui freeze(j'imagine que la MAJ était en train de redémarrer le systeme).
J'ai donc redémarré en retirant la batterie et au démarrage le fameux panic kernel.

Pour pouvoir compléter une mise à niveau qui s'est mal terminée, encore faut-il pouvoir démarrer le système et y ouvrir une session...
Si tu as un "kernel panic" au démarrage, je vois mal comment faire ça.
Je crois que la meilleure solution, et la plus rapide qui plus est, est d'envisager de faire une installation "fraîche" de la nouvelle version depuis le support d'installation (dont tu disposes ou à créer pour l'occasion).
En utilisant ce support, tu commences par sauvegarder tes données personnelles pour ne pas prendre de risque, puis tu installes en écrasant la partition de l'ancienne version sur le disque dur. Ça te prendra environ 1/2 heure et tu auras un beau système tout propre tout neuf !
Plus de 50 ans d'informatique, ça en fait des lignes de commandes en console, mais on n'avait pas le choix...
Excellente raison pour, aujourd'hui qu'on le peut, utiliser au maximum les INTERFACES GRAPHIQUES !

Ouep surtout que mon système était devenu très lent...
Par contre quand tu parles du support d'installation, tu parles de la clée usb sur laquelle j'ai booté disk boot repair ? et que je mette dessus l'iso de la mAJ Ubuntu ?
D'accord donc il faut que je sauvegarde manuellement mes données personnelles sur un autre disque dur par exemple ? les favoris et mots de passe de Firefox et préférences, il y a des applications j'imagine pour les conserver en fichier html ou autres ?
Dernière petite chose le pc étant à ma fac (prété pour 5ans donc presque à moi) je n'ai pas le password du bios ou pour y accéder, ca ne posera pas de problème en théorie pour notre reformatage?

Par "support d'installation", je parle bien d'une clé "live-USB" ou d'un disque "live-DVD", maintenant, que ce soit celle qui contient "boot-repair" ou une autre... c'est toi qui vois.

Si tu peux démarrer sur le support d'installation (a priori oui, puisque tu dis avoir "booté boot-repair sur une clé), cela devrait être possible pour installer un système.
Toutefois, même si tu le ressens comme "presque à toi", la machine ne t'appartient pas. Tu pourrais poser la question à ta fac, en expliquant que ton système actuel est HS, raison pour laquelle tu voudrais le remplacer.
Ça peut t'éviter des ennuis ultérieurement...

ok j'ai vu au telephone avec le technicien qui est ok car il a l'image disque selon lui...
Par contre avant le formatage du coup comment enregistrer mes favoris sur Firefox étant donné que je ne peux booter sur Ubuntu ?

et surtout quel logiciel pour faire un stockage correct de mon HDD sur mon hdd externe ou du moins des fichiers sans avoir tous à les ouvrir , car en essayant de copier tous les fichiers du hdd Ubuntu : là où y a marqué boot et d'autres dossier home etc...
Il y a eu plein d'ereurs et de fichiers non copiés ?

Bien sûr, tu peux te borner à copier tes données personnelles seulement, tout le reste sera (ou pourra l'être ultérieurement) installé lors de la réinstallation du système.
Tu peux faire cela avec n'importe quel logiciel permettant la copie : le gestionnaire de fichiers en mode graphique ou les commandes "cp" ou "dd" en ligne de commande en mode terminal.
Sauvegarde tes documents, tes musiques tes images et tes vidéos, et basta !
De plus, pour sauver les données système, il faut le faire en mode super-utilisateur et, ensuite, tu te retrouves avec les propriétés et des droits d'accès différents qui t'empêchent d'avoir accès à tes propres données...
