Cartes et lecteur sd(hc) et APN Nikon… les cartes n'apparaissent pas.

Hello,

c'est un souci qui me tarabuste depuis un moment déjà, sous 14.04 comme 16.04 :

- je ne sais pas lire les cartes SD(HC) de mes appareils photos directement sur mon pc,
- pour récupérer mes photos je branche l'APN via cable USB.

Les APN sont des nikon, un D3200 et un CoolPix s8200. Les images sont enregistrées en jpeg seul ( pas de raw/nef ).

Je n'ai pas de windows sous la main pour éventuellement comparer le comportement du lecteur de cartes - ums-realtek.

Dans ce lecteur de cartes j'arrive à lire des mini SD ( non HC ) provenant d'appareils android. Ou des cartes XD provenant d'APN Olympus.

Je soupçonne une astuce du point de vue du formatage des cartes dans les appareils Nikon. Ou un paramètre à renseigner dans le module du lecteur de cartes, ou encore un paramètre à passer au bios concernant ehci-pci ?

exfat-fuse et exfat-utils sont bien installés sur mes systèmes.

Toute piste ou idée bienvenue… notamment s'il y a des « nikonistes » parmi vous.

Si ta carte est saine - mais j'ai des doutes à cause de

usb "device descriptor read/64, error -110"

et, à tout le moins, un reformatage depuis l'APN serait une utile précaution -
alors, les contournements que j'utilise sont tantôt, comme toi :

je branche l'APN via cable USB

tantôt d'utiliser un lecteur de cartes externe.

Salut Moko ;-) quelle mémoire !

Aucune carte SD-HC provenant d'appareils Nikon n'apparaît… Or certains de ces APN nécessitent une batterie chargée pour lire le contenu de la carte via connexion USB, or après une longue journée de shoots… d'où le besoin d'insérer direct dans le pc la carte SD-HC.

Ce qui m'étonne c'est qu'Ubuntu ne voit pas ces cartes ( alors qu'il y a bien des photos dedans… ) : que fait le formatage Nikon de si particulier ?

C'est que tu m'avais tiré une fameuse épine du pied, en me mettant sur la voie pour empêcher mes logs et dmesg d'enfler à chaque minute !

Mais tu as modifié les options du module ums_realtek :

sudo modprobe ums_realtek

et réinsertion de la carte.

Ou encore, tu peux aussi tenter, après débranchement de la carte :

sudo modprobe -a ums_realtek

et réinsérer la carte.

Rien de particulier : il efface tout et recrée un système de fichiers sain (si le support matériel le permet).

1) Ben tu commentes les deux lignes !
Ensuite tu peux passer à

Sinon, tu peux tenter, après débranchement de la carte :

sudo rmmod ums_realtek

sudo modprobe -r ums_realtek

2) Oui, mais si le transfert de tes photos ne dure pas trois plombes, le dmesg va grossir... raisonnablement, ce n'est pas grave.
Et quand le transfert est fini,
- tu décommentes les 2 lignes
- puis tu fais

sudo rmmod ums_realtek

et, si vraiment tu as besoin (*) du module quand tu n'utilises pas la carte :

sudo modprobe ums_realtek ss_en=0

(*) As-tu vérifié si avec les noyaux actuels, tu avais encore besoin de l'option

J'utilise un D700 avec des CF que je lis sans problème au moyen d'un lecteur multicartes connecté en usb.
A priori, le formatage Nikon n'a rien de particulier : du classique fat.
D'autre part, mon PC est en mode BIOS et non EFI, ça change peut-être quelque chose.
Je vais demander parmi mon entourage si quelqu'un possède un 3200 et peut me passer une carte. Sans garantie ni promesse aucune.

et j'ai commenté dans /etc/rc.local les lignes concernant ums_realtek.

FalCT60 ouep si tu as l'occase de tester ce serait cool. Il semble que je n'ai ce problème qu'avec des cartes SDHC et le hasard fait que les APN que j'ai sous la main sont des Nikon.
Tu parles du bios et ça m'intrigue : le mien est EFI ( carte mère asus z87 ) et le réglage des ports usb me questionne, ehci, xhci, quid, est-ce que ça a une influence sur les cartes ?

Qu'ai-je donc fait depuis ? Une nuit complètement hors tension + un coup de lampe torche dans le lecteur de cartes et j'ai constaté du côté des broches pour les CF que certaines se touchaient :-/ les ai donc remis d'aplomb.

Bon à priori depuis que j'ai inséré la carte, nautilus ne veut plus se lancer…

Bonjour,
Juste en témoignage
j'ai un Nikon D3100 et effectivement je n'arrive pas à monter la micro cartes sdhc  de 8GO avec adaptateur  sur mon petit portable, par contre elle monte bien sur un pc en windows 10 et une tablette android .
l'utilitaire "disque"  fait apparaitre  un master flash  disk mais sans possibilité du montage .
Ce qui est bizarre c'est que je pouvais monter cette carte quand j'étais en 12.04 ...

Pendant que ta carte veut bien monter en lecture seule,
j'espère que tu en profites pour
- sauvegarder le contenu de /DCIM/ (si pas déjà fait) ;
- enregistrer les retours de

sudo fdisk -l

et de

sudo parted -l

  - -

Ensuite
- démonte ta carte, 
(j'ignore si le vieux bug concernant les lecteurs de cartes existe toujours quand on emploie "éjecter")
- débranche-la,
- vérifie que ni /var/log ni ~/.xsession-errors ne sont devenus énormes (puisque c'était le bug initial concernant les lecteurs Realtek 0bda:0129 RTS5129/RTS5139 et 0bda:0158)
et le cas échéant, rétablis tes options antérieures concernant le module de ton lecteur.
- Fais reformater ta carte (si elle le supporte encore) par ton APN. Cf. Maintenance des supports.... Et n'oublie pas que l'APN crée des fichiers et répertoires propres à son fabricant, sinon propres à lui (l'APN).

Alors… après quelques essais avec mes 3 cartes SDHC provenant toutes d'APN Nikon :
- il y a la première 32 Gb qui donne les erreurs du post #11 → serait-elle kaputt ? Ce qui ne m'étonnerait qu'à moitié…
- les 2 autres ( 4Gb Nikon et 16 Gb Sandisk ) montent et s'affichent correctement MAIS ne sont accessibles qu'en lecture → elles ne sont pas « lockées » physiquement, s'agit-il d'une sécurité : seul l'APN peut y écrire et donc supprimer des contenus ?

Le formatage semble effectivement un Fat32 basique.

Le souci avec Nautilus n'est pas semble-t-il lié aux cartes puisque là j'ai inséré/éjecté des cartes à plusieurs reprises sans alerte.

Pas de message redondant dans dmesg.

bizarre divergence entre gparted 0.18.0-1 et testdisk 6.14 :

Ces divergences proviennent du fait que ces fabricants font leur propre format sans respecter certains standards.
On retrouve ce même problème dans les disques intégrés dans certains appareils vidéo, et autres appareils audio GPS, etc.

Pas évident à retrouver, mais voici un de mes souvenir au sujet d'un NIKON : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.p … #p21715072

J'ai eu aussi à faire avec une carte SD d'un téléphone NOKIA qui posait les mêmes problèmes.

Formats propriétaires => fermés => pas d'accès aux informations sur l'organisation des données => galère pour les utilisateurs.

Parfois, ces appareils ne respectent pas les formats standards pour des raisons de réelle éfficacité concernant le fonctionnement de leur appareil,
mais pas toujours…

À vue de pif je dirais mtp/ptp puisque quand je connecte l'APN via cable usb le système me demande ce que je veux faire avec ce device qui contient des photos. Si c'était un mass storage il me l'ouvrirait d'office dans l'explorateur de fichiers, j'ai bon ?

Les cartes étaient bien dans le lecteur, dans ce cas elles montent en lecture seule - ce qui ne m'empêche pas de récupérer les photos mais ne permet pas de « vider » la carte.
Or il se pourrait que j'ai besoin d'écrire sur une carte SD pour mettre à jour le firmware d'un des APN - sachant que je n'ai pas de windows sous la main à la maison…
Les cartes SDHC en question ont été formatées via l'APN - comme recommandé dans les notices des appareils.

À noter qu'en cas de connexion par câble usb de l'APN, je ne peux pas écrire non plus sur les cartes, mais je peux quand même supprimer les photos - suppression directe sans passage par la corbeille avec demande de confirmation.

Les premières error concernent la carte SD que je suppose foireuse.
Les Error et ERROR je sais pas… peut-être rien à voir avec le sujet initial.

Hélas, rien que le mot "normal" alors qu'il s'agit d'un formatage "maison", ça fait presque contre-sens : je dirais qu'étant donné qu'on ne sais pas de que l'APN fait avec cette carte, il est impossible d'affirmer quoi que ce soit.
Mais ça me fait quand même un peu penser au comportement des systèmes de fichiers que windows laisse dans un état "unsafe" comme dirait Linux dans ces cas là.
Peut-être que NIKON a ses propre méthodes pour accéder plus vite au contenu de ces cartes…

Si le matériel et logiciel (lecteur de carte et système) sont en bon état, si la carte n'est pas mécaniquement (la glissière) verrouillée en lecture seule, et si dd n'arrive pas à y écrire des zéros (ou autre chose) sur tout l'espace disque dont elle est censé disposer, c'est sans doute qu'il n'y aura plus rien à en faire => elle est malheureusement "morte"

Je le re-re-lis, mais j'ai du mal à comprendre le rapport.
- Car FAT et CHS n'ont rien à voir (qu'on reformate sdx1 en fat, ntfs, ext, reiserfs, hfs+ ou autre, ça ne changera pas les valeurs {C,H,S} de sdx).
- Comment testdisk, qui discerne pourtant les valeurs correctes :

Warning: the current number of heads per cylinder is 247

peut en suggérer d'autres :

but the correct value may be 255.
You can use the Geometry menu to change this value.
It's something to try if
- some partitions are not found by TestDisk
- or the partition table can not be written because partitions overlaps.

cela, je le comprends encore,
mais faire cette suggestion de manière si pressante :

Warning: number of heads/cylinder mismatches 255 (FAT) != 247 (HD)
Warning: number of sectors per track mismatches 63 (FAT) != 62 (HD)
(...)
Bad relative sector.

Je crois me souvenir que c'est toi qui as demandé de l'aide...

Notre héros réussira-t-il à lire la réponse dans son APN
Menu > Configuration > USB ?
Et à le régler, si ce n'est pas son état actuel, sur "mass storage" ?

Quand je parle de format, je parle de format en général : du MBR aux partitions en passant par les systèmes de fichiers et les fichiers eux mêmes.
pas seulement du format du système de fichiers.

Si NIKON a décidé (par exemple) de mettre le nombre de têtes (ou autres références) en LSB ou MSB, (ou dans un autre format spécifique),
ça changera TOUT ce que pourrait essayer d'interprêter les applications qui s'attendent à une certaine cohérence standard.
il suffit d'un seul bit situé dans un endroit inattendu, et c'est le désastre.
Alors quand en plus tout ça ne fait que "ressembler" à des formats propriétaires dont nous ne pouvons définir précisément les caractéristiques…

Vilain ;-) ça fait pas longtemps que j'ai ce Nikon D3200 et je ne vois rien dans ses menus ou dans sa notice ( là si tu veux ) qui évoque usb mass storage. Par contre ça fait un peu plus longtemps que j'ai le coolpix S8200 et sur celui-là non plus je n'ai jamais vu d'évocation d'usb mass storage…

…donc non le héros ne peut pas passer la carte en mass-storage car Nikon visiblement ne laisse plus cette possibilité ( elle existe effectivement sur de + anciens appareils à l'époque où mtp/ptp n'étaient pas implémentés sur toutes les versions de …windows ).

Un avis sur le post #18 sinon ?

Oui ok j'avais moi-même mis des guillemets autour du mot « normal »… je reformule donc : est-ce que d'autres utilisateurs de ces APN constatent le même comportement que moi avec leurs cartes SD ?
Je veux juste savoir si c'est comme ça parce que Nikon, et dans ce cas on a fait le tour de la question, ou s'il y a autre chose à vérifier côté système / logiciel.
