Laisser trainer une adresse mail en clair sur le net, c'est augmenter le risque de spam.
Par ailleurs tu n'as pas suivi la procédure telenet du lien que je t'ai donné pour le smtp : il faut le port 587 et non 25, l'authentification TLS et bien sûr, entre ton mot de passe au premier envoi.

Maintenant, je continue à penser que c'est la help desk telenet qui saura dire quoi.

Le problème continue à se poser ?

Quand tu as la help desk demande leur surtout comment ils osent proposer un smtp pro sans certificat et sans authentification !

j'ai appelé et ils m'ont répondu que les paramètres du smtp ont été sécurisés il y a bien longtemps mais comme je n'ai pas été prévenu,forcément
je me trouvais encore avec les anciens paramètres non-sécurisés.
Ils pensent aussi que le problème se situe soit au niveau de TB soit au niveau de ma machine, ce qui est aussi mon sentiment.

Donc ils font payer un abonnement pro et n'informent pas leurs clients ? Hmmm, perso ça me ferait changer illico de fournisseur ! Qu'ont-ils fait comme tests, car ces commentaires m'ont l'air vaseux : au niveau matériel ça me semble impossible (tu aurais d'autre symptômes) au niveau de TB a priori aussi peu probable (surtout qu'avec toutes nos manips il est quasi à neuf).

Côté boit mail, tu peux faire les deux premiers test que je propose [url=[modéré : pas d’auto-pub, merci]-securiser-boite-mail/]là[/url].
Côté TB on peut encore tenter de faire un profil tout neuf (si tu es en IMAP)

Il reste éventuellement des fantaisies de dépôts.

changer de fournisseur n'est pas possible, il n'y a pas de ligne tél pour l'adsl chez moi, je reçois tout par le cable tv,et de toute façon les autres sont pires!

A quoi sert le PPA eid.list ?
Pourquoi as-tu Geary qui n'est plus vraiment maintenu (en tous cas abandonné par son concepteur) ? comme c'est un client mail, d'ici à ce que ses librairies fâchent TB...

Sinon, tu peux toujours activer les dépôts partenaires (partners) en passant par

software-properties-gtk

ca ne peut pas faire de mal.

le eid c'est le lecteur de carte d'identité belge que je n'ai jamais su installer d'ailleurs.
Geary, je l'ai installé quand j'ai commencé à avoir des problèmes avec TB. Je pensais l'avoir désinstallé!

j'ai remarqué aussi que quand j'ouvre TB il lui faut aussi un certain temps pour synchroniser mes mails rentrant(imap)

Pour Geary, virons tout proprement :
- installer ppa-purge (si tu ne l'as pas déjà)

sudo apt install ppa-purge

virer le PPA et ses paquets

sudo ppa-purge ppa:geary-team/releases

Un de ma faute, un de la tienne !
Assure toi que toutes tes instances de mise à jour, terminal, synaptic soient fermées (çà c'est pour le lock)
Et moi j'ai oublié un "e"

sudo ppa-purge ppa:geary-team/releases

Mais du coup tu dois repasser les deux commandes !
