difficulté installation Ubuntu en dual boot
Bonjour
J'ai essayé d'installer ubuntu 16.04.02 sur un PC avec windows 7.
Il a un seul disque de 320Go, dont la partition dev4 de 149Go est vide.
J'ai crée un clé USB avec RUFUS sous windows.
J'ai booté le PC sur la clé USB, lancé une session ubuntu, puis lancé l'installation.
Il me mets un message parlant d'uefi et disant que je devais retourner en arrière pour installer en conservant windows, ce que je fais.
Et là, dans la première fenêtre

je n'ai pas la première option "installer ubuntu à coté de windows boot manager." (que j'ai déjà utilisé sur un autre PC sans pb).
Du coup, je suis un peu perdu...
J'ai tenté "autre".
Et là, j'ai été complètement perdu...

Je pense que ton Bios est compatible UEFI / Legacy or windows 7 est généralement installé en mode Legacy.
Assures toi dans le bios que ta clef boot en mode Legacy et si oui, normalement l'installateur te proposera l'installe à coté de win.
Bémol : tu dis que la "dev4" est vide. Ben non, pas de devX qui serait une partition selon tes dires, mais devrait-être un espace non-alloué, qui n'est pas une partition, de 149go dans lequel ira ubu.
Franchement, avant de te lancer, sous une session live avec ta clef, renvoies un rapport boot-info (tape boot-info dans la doc). On sera fixé pour la suite des operations.
Note : l'option "Autres choses" est affaire de partitionnement manuel mais cela ne concerne pas le mode UEFI/Legacy du bios, mais plutot en fonction de ces modes.

Voilà le boot info.
A noter que j'ai réduit la dev4 à 5Go, elle occupait les 149Go avant.
Pour le boot de la clé en mode legacy, j'ai regardé dans le bios, mais je n'ai vu aucune option. Il y a marqué boot en mode UEFI pour la clé, mais je ne peux pas changer.
Sinon, il y a un moyen de passer en clavier Fr sur la session live ubuntu ???

Windows est en mode Legacy mais ta clef boot en UEFI, attends pour la suite, j'arrive (ou autre personne).

Comme l'a dit lucmars, la première des choses est d'aller dans le bios de ton ordinateur pour lui dire de ne pas booter en EFI sur la clé USB. Il faut du légacy,
Donc cela c'est faux
BIOS is EFI-compatible, and is setup in EFI-mode for this live-session.
La seconde des choses, pour s'installer à coté de windows, il faut de la place, il y a déjà 4 partitions, donc tu vires
/dev/sda4 333,154,304 343,890,632 10,736,329 83 Linux
Utiliser REFIND au lieu du GRUB https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/refind . Aidez à vous faire dépanner en suivant le guide et en utilisant les outils de diagnostic J'ai perdu ma gomme. Désolé pour les fautes d'orthographes non corrigées.

En gras, c'est vrai, c'est ce qu'il s'est passé au moment du boot ; la faute exacte est d'avoir booté en mode UEFI au lieu du mode Legacy (ou encore dit : CMS ; hérité).
Pour le reste selon ??, oui : supprimer dev/sda4 avec gparted sous session live (en UEFI ou Legacy, là on s'en fout, sinon pour le clavier, voir après) de la sorte, tu auras un espace non-alloué.
Attention ! le demandeur est perdu avec l'option "Autre chose" de l'installateur, or il y a deja 3 partoches primaires sur quatre. Cette derniere, qui sera non-allouée, devra donc etre une partoche étendue de 149go pour accuellir jusqu'à 1023 partoches logiques, ouaah !!!!
Mais bon, quand on est perdu en partitionnement à la mano, et je ne sais si l'installateur actuel saurait y faire comme un grand pour ma part, faudra pas faire dans le subtil hexadecimal, mais du pas à pas (patatpon).
Reste l'essentiel : booter le support-live en mode legacy, faut fouiller dans le bios ; d'abord cela.
à toutes fins utiles, si tu boot en mode uefi, ton clavier est en mode qwerty (c'est con mais ainsi). Alors, tu ouvres le terminal (ctrl+alt+t) et tu tapes
setxkb,qp fr
ce qui t'affichera
setxkbmap fr
et enter.

Ok ! Ton pc c'est un HP ? T'as pas CMS ou hérité au lieu de Legacy ?
Sinon, télécharges une version 32bits de ubu et essaies voir (en dvd ou clef).

oui, je suis bien en qwerty ! ce qui m'oblige à descendre d'un étage pour pouvoir écrire sur un autre PC...
Le PC est un ACER X1430 (radeon).
Je n'ai rien vu qui ressemble à CMS ou hérité. En fait, je n'ai trouvé comme option que le boot sur la clé en mode UEFI, ou le boot sur la clé, sans précision. Mais les deux ont le même résultat.
J'ai installer déjà 3 PC en dual , mais toujours avec l'option 1, qui n'apparait pas ce coup ci...
Je m'y remettrais vendredi !

Inutile de descendre d'un étage désormais, utilises la commande du post 7.
En gras, ça pourrait le faire avec une version 32bit qui elle ne boote qu'en legacy ; à croire que ton bios choisit à ta place.

Je te suggère de tenter d'Installer avec un LiveDVD au lieu d'installer avec une LiveUSB. Kiroul qui avait le même modèle d'ordi que toi (Acer Aspire X1430) explique la chose dans ce post : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.p … 1#p8085481
Mon hypothèse c'est que ton "Bios" doit être bogué et ne permet pas de démarrer en mode non-EFI sur une LiveUSB. Par contre, grâce à Kiroul on sait que ce bug n'affecte pas le démarrage sur un LiveDVD.

J'ai essayé à nouveau avec un DVD. J'ai (comme pour la clé USB) le choix entre
UEFI : DVD
P1 : DVD
Je choisis le deuxième (mais bon, c'est idem avec le premier), et ca fait pareil que pour la clé, c'est à dire, je n'ai pas l'option 1 décrite dans la doc https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/_detail/insta … le_live_cd
J'ai fouillé dans le bios, le mode legacy est bien "enable" pour la clé USB.
Une idée ? Je comprend sinon qu'il ne me reste qu'à essayer la version 32bits.

C'est normal que tu ne puisses installer à coté de windows. Car pour le faire, il te faudrait de la place disque.
Il faut donc que tu prennes le choix "autre chose" et que tu choisisses la partition SDA4 pour installer ubuntu. En espérant que la taille sera suffisante. Ce dont je doute.

Mon conseil:
Avec ton support d'installation, choisis l'option 'essayer avant d'installer", lances gparted et supprimes SDA4. Cela ira tout de suite mieux.

J'ai remis la taille à la valeur initiale 145Go, puis tenté "autre chose", puis SDA4 pour l'installation. Mais il me dit que "ce n'est pas relié à la racine" (en gros).
Du coup, j'ai abandonné le dual boot pour ce PC et je l'ai basculé sous ubuntu pur. L'installation s'est qd à elle bien passée !

Il fallait probablement seulement une goutte de colle ==> Dire que SDA4 devait être relié au point de montage /.
