Scanner DCP195C

Bonjour/Bonsoir

Je viens d'essayer d'installer un scanner et cela ne fonctionne pas, c'est la raison pour laquelle, je poste sur le forum :
Portable DELL Inspiron - Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Multifonction BROTHER DCP195C en réseau (serveur d'impression HPJetdDirect)
Pour l'installation du pilote j'ai suivi la documentation ici : Lien

Qu'est-ce que tu as installé exactement depuis le site de Brother ? Ton imprimante/scanner est apparemment en réseau : ethernet ou wi-fi ?

Dans le serveur de CUPS (http://localhost:631) → Printers → la page de ton imprimante, donne-moi les infos indiquées (notamment Driver et Connection).

Donne aussi le retour de :

dpkg -l | grep Brother

Sur un autre sujet, il y a quelqu'un qui a un problème similaire et qui est assez compliqué à régler, autant te dire que ce n'est pas forcément bien engagé.

Est-ce que le scanner fonctionne si tu lances Simple Scan en admin ?

sudo simple-scan

EDIT : Je vais même te donner plus de manips à faire tout de suite, ça m'éviteras d'oublier. Si le scanner fonctionne en admin, c'est bon signe, il suffit d'installer le paquet des règles udev de chez Brother. S'il ne fonctionne pas mieux, installe-le aussi.
va sur http://support.brother.com/g/b/download … ng=English et télécharge le paquet "Scanner Setting file (deb package)". Pour l'installer, en supposant qu'il soit dans ton dossier Téléchargements :

cd ~/Téléchargements sudo dpkg -i brother-udev-rule-type1-1.0.2-0.all.deb

Une fois que c'est fait, redémarre ton PC.

Si le scanner ne fonctionne pas mieux en admin (avant l'installation du paquet), essaie de l'ajouter avec la commande suivante :

brsaneconfig4 -a name="Scanner Brother DCP-195C" model=DCP-195C ip=192.168.1.3

puis vérifie s'il est reconnu avec :

brsaneconfig4 -q

puis tente un scan (normalement, sans sudo).

Note : selon la génération du scanner, c'est possible que la bonne commande soit brsaneconfig3 ou brsaneconfig2.

Donc, ça, c'est après les manips avec brsaneconfig4 ? Que renvoie la commande brsaneconfig4 -q ? Et je suppose que le message d'erreur est le même quel que soit le scanner utilisé (je vois qu'il le reconnaît deux fois) ?

Tu donneras aussi le retour des commandes suivantes :

brsaneconfig4 -d
cat /etc/opt/brother/scanner/brscan4//brsanenetdevice4.cfg

Le message d'erreur est le même quelque soit le scanner sélectionné

la dernière commande donne cela

Donc, quand tu as fait la commande brsaneconfig4 -a name="Scanner Brother DCP-195C" model=DCP-195C ip=192.168.1.3 suite à mon message #4, ça t'a déjà mis "commande introuvable" ?

Je n'avais pas fait attention au nom de tes paquets, c'est en fait brscan3 qui est utilisé, donc ça devrait être brsaneconfig3 (je pense). Ne refais pas tout de suite les commandes données en #4 en les adaptant, essaie plutôt :

brsaneconfig3 -q
brsaneconfig3 -d
cat /etc/opt/brother/scanner/brscan3//brsanenetdevice3.cfg

À première vue, il trouve bien le scanner et arrive à faire un ping dessus. On va essayer de trouver ce fichier de config :

locate brsanenetdevice3.cfg
locate brscan3

(Ne donne pas le retour complet des commandes, regarde juste si tu vois le chemin vers le fichier de config ou le dossier de brscan3.)

La commande locate n'en renvoie pas d'autre ?

À tout hasard, essaie de supprimer le doublon mais ça m'étonnerait que ça change quelque chose :

sudo gedit /usr/local/Brother/sane/brsanenetdevice3.cfg

Supprime la deuxième ligne, enregistre, redémarre est essaie de scanner à nouveau.

EDIT : si tu lances Simple Scan (depuis le menu des applis, pas en ligne de commande), tu as immédiatement une erreur, c'est ça ? Est-ce que ça lance quand même Simple Scan ? Si oui, va dans ses préférences et poste une capture de ce que tu as.
