[Résolu] démarrage et choix du noyau

Bonjour,

Tout d'abord je présente mes excuses si la question a déjà été traitée mais je n'ai pas trouvé la réponse.

Mon PC est installé avec un dual-boot Xubuntu 16.04.2 LTS et Windows 10 (préinstallé) en UEFI.
Depuis une mise à jour du noyau en 4.8, j'ai un petit problème, pas méchant mais qui m'embête...

Lors du démarrage Grub me donne bien le choix.
Si je laisse l'ordi booter avec l'option par défaut (sur le noyau 4.8) cela ne se lance pas.
Si je rentre dans le menu Ubuntu et que je choisis le noyau 4.4, je n'ai pas de problème.
Si je choisis Win 10 aucun problème non plus.

J'ai effectué les opérations sans succès:
  sudo os-prober
  sudo update-grub
  sudo grub-install /dev/sda

Auriez-vous une idée ?

Bonjour,
Je souhaiterais en voir un peu plus. Pour cela, je te prie de démarrer une session en choisissant le noyau 4.4 et depuis cette session, faire un Boot-Info. Tu donneras l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse.

Bonjour,
Fais aussi un rapport bisnext qui montre mieux l'état du logiciel en cours de mise à jour.
Tentes aussi le mode avancé et choisis le dernier noyau en mode recovery, Si cela boote, c'est un problème nomodeset.

Alors pour le mode recovery, j'accède bien à un nouveau menu mais quand je sélectionne "resume", le redémarrage reprend en affichant des information précédées de [OK].
Mais cela s'arrête à chaque fois après :
[OK] Started Update UTMP about System Runlevel Changes
Je ne sais pas si cela aide...

Je ne suis pas expert en carte graphique, je n'ai rien vu d'anormal dans la mise à jour
Cependant, au vu de ta description, je suis tenté de te proposer une modification  dans le fichier /etc/default/grub

Je ne sais pas pourquoi tu as donné un lien tronqué pour ton Boot-Info dans le post #4. Je ne peux rien faire avec ça. Je te prie de passer la commande suivante dans un terminal : 

cat /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Puis d'en donner le retour complet (voir définition ici) dans ta réponse

Bonjour,

Désolé malbo, mais c'était le lien que m'a renvoyé le programme. Je n'ai pas vérifié ce qu'il contenait.

Bougron, j'ai du faire une erreur dans la manip que tu m'as indiquée car désormais, ça ne démarre plus du tout.
J'ai juste un message grub : minimal bash avec une invite Grub > et les commandes possibles.
Je pense que c'est juste le fichier /etc/default/grub qui est abimé,  car en changeant l'ordre du boot dans le bios je peux démarrer sans pb sur Win10.

Ne sois pas désolé. C'est moi qui ai du me tromper !
Mon problème pour l'instant est d'arriver à booter sur Xubuntu. Je n'y arrive pas à partir du "minimal bash" de Grub.
Pour l'instant je vais essayer de voir à partir d'un live USB...

J'ai réussi à remettre Grub comme avant à partir d'un live usb, j'ai donc de nouveau mon xubuntu avec noyau 4.4 qui marche !
malbo, j'espère que c'est bien ce qu'il fallait faire ci-dessous.

C'est parfait. On voit que dans les options avancées du menu Grub, tu as la possibilité de démarrer sur le noyau 4.8.0-56 (c'est l'avant-dernier noyau puisque le dernier est le noyau 4.8.0-58). Peux-tu essayer de démarrer sur cet avant-dernier noyau ?

J'ai essayé le noyau 4.8.0-56 : sans succès en mode normal comme recovery...
C'est dommage de ne pas pouvoir utiliser ce noyau, mais je peux quand même fonctionner;

Oui, j'ai bien effectué la modification. cela ne change pas grand chose. Juste un écran de type "terminal" avec 2 lignes qui n'apparait plus.
Puis toujours pareil : l'écran d'accueil de Xubuntu apparait 1 sec avant de revenir à un écran de type "terminal" avec le message : 

/dev/sda5 : clean, 358675/2760704 files, 2690614/11023872 blocks

J'ai toujours cette dernière ligne avec le noyau 4.8

Tu me fais découvrir cette bizarrerie.
Je suis aussi surpris que toi de cette anomalie. Pour moi il ne devrait pas y avoir de panachage.  Je suis en version 16.04.2 et mon fichier de boot contient

	linux	/boot/vmlinuz-4.4.0-83-generic.efi.signed root=UUID=299d7644-ae32-43ff-b3db-16987328b52f ro  quiet splash $vt_handoff
	initrd	/boot/initrd.img-4.4.0-83-generic

Peux-tu déactiver le sécure boot pour voir... J'ai vu une discussion de laurent85 disant que les pilotes propriétaires ne  pouvaient pas travailler en mode secure.....

et tu peux aussi  faire un essai en remplaçant /boot/vmlinuz-4.8.0-58-generic.efi.signed par /boot/vmlinuz-4.8.0-58-generic Le module est bien présent.

Cela signifie que tu as eu tous ces noyaux de la famille "4.8" qui ont été installés auparavant. Faut-il comprendre que tu n'as jamais pu démarrer sur un noyau de cette famille "4.8" ?

@malbo : effectivement je n'avais jamais réussi à démarrer avec un noyau 4.8 mais c'est désormais chose faite !

J'ai utilisé la 2eme proposition de Bougron en remplaçant /boot/vmlinuz-4.8.0-58-generic.efi.signed par /boot/vmlinuz-4.8.0-58-generic.
J'ai préféré ne pas désactivé le Secure Boot pour éviter d'avoir un pb avec win après... (on ne sait jamis comment ça réagit ces bêtes-là !).

Bonjour.
C'est une logique qui me dépasse.
Je suis content pour toi que cette proposition ait abouti. Mais c'est quand même une proposition "stupide".
Lorsque le secure est activé, les modules non secure devraient planter et les modules secure devraient fonctionner.
Heureusement que malbo a un énorme potentiel de recherche. Il risque de découvrir que le contenu des fichiers est l'inverse de leur nom dans cette fichue version.

Mon "énorme potentiel de recherche" (dixit Bougron dans le post #21) ne me parait pas si énorme que ça finalement. Ton cas est vraiment bizarre et je ne trouve toujours pas. Depuis une session démarrée sur ton noyau 4.8, je te prie de passer la commande suivante dans un terminal : 

cat /proc/cmdline

Et donner le retour utilisable de cette commande dans ta réponse.

Désolé de ne répondre que si tard mais j'étais en vacances très loin de ce PC. Du coup je ne sais pas si ce fil est encore suivi...
Comme il y a eu un changement, je suis sur un noyau 4.10 désormais.
A noter que j'ai du refaire la procédure pour ce nouveau noyau car après la mise à jour j'avais de nouveau le pb de boot sur la 4.8 et la 4.10 mais pas sur la 4.4...

Voici la réponse de cat /proc/cmdline
