[Résolu]Windows 8.1 indetectable par grub

Bonsoir tout le monde,
Donc j'ai installé Ubuntu sur DD externe mais quand je démarre je boot directement sur Ubuntu il n'y a pas de grub pour me proposer une liste.
Quand je fais un sudo update-grub voilà ce que j'obtiens comme message:

Création du fichier de configuration GRUB…
Attention : Définir GRUB_TIMEOUT à une valeur non nulle si GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT est définie n’est plus possible.
Image Linux trouvée : /boot/vmlinuz-4.10.0-19-generic
Image mémoire initiale trouvée : /boot/initrd.img-4.10.0-19-generic
Adding boot menu entry for EFI firmware configuration
fait

quand j'execute aussi la commande sudo os-prober elle ne me renvoie rien.
Du coup quelqu'un peut m'expliquer comment je peux traiter ce problème?

Salut,

Ton Windows est installé en mode Legacy (disque ms-dos, autrement dit mbr). Ton Linux est installé en mode UEFI (disque gpt). Les deux ne peuvent pas se "comprendre". L'un des deux est en principe à réinstaller dans le bon mode.

Puisque le PC est en priorité sur l'UEFI, on peut également "tricher" avec le disque 1 en faisant croire au PC que Windows est installé en UEFI malgré le disque mbr. Mais ça se fera avec la console Windows, inévitablement.

Tu modifies l'ordre de démarrage du bios pour que l'usb boote en mode Legacy (menu de démarrage violet, et non noir). Puis ton convertis le disque en mode ms-dos avec gparted, et tu installes dans ce mode. Prends bien soin à mettre grub sur le disque externe, sinon tu auras des surprises en cas de débranchement.

Bonsoir et désolé pour le retard,
J'ai suivi voter conseil et j'ai installé ubuntu en mode bios. Je suis tomé sur grub rescue
J'ai pu utiliser

set boot=(hd1,1)
set prefix=(hd1,1)/boot/grub
insmod normal
normal

J'ai pu accéder à Ubuntu et Windows cependant quand je redémarre je retombe sur grub rescue et quand j'enlève le DD externe je tombe aussi sur grub rescue.
Des idées à me proposer svp?

Cela signifie qu'un grub a été installé sur le disque interne, et qu'il ne trouve pas l'installation Linux. Soit tu le supprimes avec le DVD d'installation de Windows  (selon moi, c'est le mieux), soit tu essaies avec boot-repair depuis ton Linux, pour qu'il réécrive un grub correct sur les deux disques.

Bonsoir,
J'ai utilisé boot repair et je suis à l'étape où il a purgé grub mais là il me demande de préciser les périphériques où grub doit être installé
J'ai le périphérique Toshiba où est installé Windows, le périphérique MyPassport mon DD externe où j'ai installé ubuntu et il y a un troisième périphérique  - /dev/sdb1 (2000363 Mo; /), que dois-je choisir svp?

Re bonsoir,
Dans un premier temps j'ai installé grub que sur le DD externe mais après redémarrage je retombais sur grub rescue puis j'ai relancé boot repair et j'ai réinstallé grub sur tous les périphériques et après redémarrage j'ai windows et ubuntu qui s'affichent sur grub. Cependant que j'enlève le dd externe et que je démarre je retombe sur grub rescue!!!
Des idées à me proposer? comment booter windows seul même en enlevant le DD externe?

Grub étant installé sur les deux disques.
Tu démarres depuis n'importe que disque, et tu as accès à Windows et Ubuntu.
Tu enlèves le disque externe. La machine démarre sur le disque interne, mais comme Grub est installé dedans, et que Ubuntu démarré par Grub est sur le disque externe non branché. Çà ne peut pas démarrer. tu as un grub rescue.

Alors en espérant que le chargeur de démarrage de Windows ne soit pas cassé...
Avec Boot-Repair depuis ton Ubuntu (hdd externe branché) Tu peux restaurer un MBR generic compatible Windows.

Tu lances Boot-Repair, tu passes par les "Options avancées".
Dans l'onglet "Options principales", tu coches "Restaure le MBR".
Dans l'onglet "Option de MBR"
Restaurer le MBR de : sda (mbr)
Partition démarrée par le mbr : sda1 (Windows)

Tu fais "Appliquer" .

Espérons que ce sera suffisant pour réparer le démarrage de Windows, hdd externe débranché.
Si çà ne répare pas. C'est que le chargeur de démarrage de Windows est cassé. Et là çà ne peut se réparer qu'avec les outils Windows. Soit avec le DVD d'installation, ou la console de récupération.

Pour que Ubuntu démarre, hdd externe branché, il faudra faire démarrer la machine sur le hdd externe.
Soit changer la séquence de démarrage dans le Bios. Soit si c'est disponible sur la machine, utiliser un menu de démarrage qui permet de choisir sur quel disque démarrer.

J'ai découvert Ubuntu avec la 07.10.... Et alors?!...  Depuis je regarde de temps en temps si Windows marche toujours....

Sinon, tu débranches le disque externe. Tu démarres sur un DVD d'installation de Windows ou su la console de réparation. Tu choisis "réparer l'ordinateur" pour atteindre l'invite de commandes . Tu tapes :

bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot

Ton windows redémarrera normalement dès lors qu'il sera tout seul. Tu arrêtes ton PC. Tu branches le disque externe. Tu modifies l'ordre de boot du bios pour booter sur l'externe en priorité. Tu auras ton GRUB avec les deux OS.

J'ai crée avec disk part une clé bootable pour Windows 8.1. J'ai utilisé l'option réparation en utilisant les commandes que ikewdu m'a donné un peu plus haut et ça a marché.

Je te laisse vérifier ce problème car si je le prends en charge je vais devenir super aggressif en  éliminant tout le chapitre qui parle d'une chose impossible à réaliser et qui discrédite la personne qui donne ce conseil.

D'ailleurs il est possible de proposer testdisk pour ce genre de chose.

Précision au sujet de cette réparation. C'est l’équivalent de "bootrec /fixmbr" depuis Windows, et de ce que fait testdisk.
Il ne restaure que les codes dans le secteur de boot du hdd d'installation de Windows.
Si le boot loader de Windows est casser. Boot-Repair ne peut rien faire de plus. Il faut utiliser les outils Windows.

Je connais bien toutes le fonctions de ces outils pour avoir tester pour YannUbuntu depuis l'écriture du premier script. J'ai du "lâcher prise" avec l'arrivée des machine en UEFI. D'autres contributeurs/testeurs ont pris la relève.

Tant que Yann n'avait trouver comment restaurer un mbr généric. Il maintenait les iso secures remix et Linux remix. Lorsqu'il a trouvé comment faire, il n'y avait plus d’intérêts à maintenir ces iso.
Sont donc restés, Boot-Repair, Os-Uninstaller, Boot-Repair-Disk, et ensuite Boot-info.

Je le rappelle, les iso Boot-Repair-Disk ne sont plus maintenues. Il ne faut plus les utiliser.

Il me semble que testdisk peut aussi résoudre ce problème d'une autre façon mais je ne sais pas si cela possible pour tous les windos légacy

J'en suis là,  et je te conseille  d'installer une version 16.04  et de regarder son fonctionnement

Si tu décides de cliquer sur l'onglet MBR  qui est grisé il se passe des choses anormales

Je suis en train de le faire sur mon micro légacy,     j'ai eu un écran sans rien d'indiqué; j'ai malgré tout accepté (en aveugle) et il est en train de  reslorer le grub

message    Veuillez ouvrir un termeinal et faire  (ou copier-coller) les commandes suivantes

sudo chroot "/mnt/bootr-sav/sdc3 " dpkg--configure -a
sudo chroot "/mnt/bootr-sav/sdc3 " apt-get install -fy
sudo chroot "/mnt/bootr-sav/sdc3 " apt-get purge -y -fforce-yes     etc......

De mon point de vue c'est mal barré pour restorer un MBR


Je laisse mon live USB legacy opérationnel au cas où....


Nota je suis en train de recommencer en capturant l'intégralité des écrans et je vais les poster au fur et à mesure....

1) D'abord, j'ai coché la ligne du dessous.    Je pense que ce n'est pas cela ...... Je regarderais un peu plus tard ce que cela peut détruire car  il y a des précautions à prendre !!!!!  http://hpics.li/777cde9

2) Je me positionne maintenant sur "option de MBR  http://hpics.li/85a8721 et je vais cliquer sur appliquer.

3) et voila le retour....  http://hpics.li/846a8a1   C'est à mourir de pleurer! lol.
   Enfin, bréf, je suis en train d'exécuter la séquence "purger et reinstaller grub" que je n'avais pas décoché............

4) Maintenant, je décoche les options facultatives. http://hpics.li/0840f33
   puis je me positionne sur l'onglet 'option de mbr", je valide. Voila ce que cela donne.

Le démarrage de l'ordinateur a été correctement réparé.

Un nouveau fichier (~/Boot-Info_2017-09-15__11h15.txt) va s'ouvrir dans votre visionneur de texte.


Si vous avez toujours des problèmes de démarrage, indiquez son contenu à :
boot.repair@gmail.com ou sur votre forum favori.

Vous pouvez maintenant redémarrer votre ordinateur.

Dans 24 heures, si rien n'est fait, la ligne
" Restauration d’un MBR Windows (pour démarrer directement sur Windows): "

Çà ressemble à un ultimatum, çà  !.
Es tu certain de pouvoir faire des modifs dans la doc sans t'attirer les "foudres" des responsables du forum?.
Je ne pense pas que ce soit la bonne manière sans en discuter avec eux...

Sur le boot info de ta config.
On voit un Windows installé en UEFI.
Alors Boot-Repair lancé depuis une session Bios_Legacy; capable ou pas de restaurer un MBR compatible Windows? En écrivant le code qui va bien dans le MBR protecteur de ton disque en GPT ? . Je n'en suis pas sûr.
Je ne peux pas tester cette Option, je n'ai pas de Windows installé en UEFI.
Mais si dans l'onglet "Options principales" Il n'y a pas l'option à cocher "restaurer le MBR" c'est que Boot-Repair ne sait pas faire dans ces conditions.

Mais, je peux te certifier qu'avec un Windows installé en Bios_Legacy, cette option est possible.

Tu  confonds les ordinateurs.
Je vais sur l'autre et fais un boot-repair total en postant sa réparation du MBR.
Ce n'est pas un ultimatum, c'est une mise à jour de documentation qui aurait du être faite depuis longtemps. Il me semble qu'on ne puisse plus compter sur le responsable de cet outil pour le faire et encore moins  modifier son package. C'est d'ailleurs grâce à une personne qui a été virée du forum que boot-info fonctionne encore correctement.

D'autre part, je rappelle que si des mots sont mal orthographiés dans la doc ou des phrases mal fournées, absolument n'importe qui est autorisé à rectifier. Ce n'est pas la peine de réunir un comité d'experts.

Utiliser REFIND au lieu du GRUB https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/refind . Aidez à vous faire dépanner en suivant le guide et en utilisant les outils de diagnostic J'ai perdu ma gomme. Désolé pour les fautes d'orthographes non corrigées.
