[Résolu] Crash d'ubuntu avec le pilote propriétaire

Bonjour.

Tout d'abord, ma config:
Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS
Cinnamon
Intel i3 4110 quad core
8G RAM
NVIDIA Geforce 950M

Mise en situation: J'ai voulu installer un driver pour ma carte graphique, ce que j'ai fait via les pilote additionnels, car un jeu que j'essayais de lancer ne marchais pas avec le libre. Je l'ai fais, j'ai redémarré et le jeu marchait très bien, pas de soucis. Mais losque je n'étais plus sur le jeu, après une durée variable, tout freeze d'un coup et je suis obligé de hard reset l'ordi.

Pour résoudre ça j'ai essayé de réinstaller le pilote libre et de changer de carte graphique via nvidia-settings, puisque c'est mon CPU qui est utilisé dans le deuxième cas. Losque je fais ça, ça recommence à freeze après une durée aléatoire dès que j'utilise la carte nvidia.

J'ai également essayé d'installer un pilote plus récent trouvé sur le site nvidia, qui d'après eux est compatible avec mon modèle de CG, mais lorsque j'essaye j'ai une error comme quoi ce n'est pas compatible. La seule version qui marche est la version que j'arrivais déjà à installer en mode graphique (v 346.96) via pilotes additionnels, et toujours le même problème de freeze.

J'ai ensuite essayé de désinstaller tous les pilotes nvidia et de réinstaller les drivers de base d'ubuntu pour revenir au point de départs, et après quelques essais je me retrouve avec Cinnamon qui crash dès que j'ouvre la session et les autres environnements qui ont des problèmes aussi.
Pendant ce temps, nvidia-settings ne me demande meme plus quel gpu je veux utiliser.

P.S. Je suis nouveau sur ubuntu (et sur linux) aussi il se peut que je ne comprenne pas tout ce que vous me direz, je me renseignerai un maximum pour.

Ok, donc y'a eu des modifs. J'ai essayé de tout réinstaller, en suivant des réponses à d'autres posts, et maintenant je suis bloqué en 864x486.
Désinstaller/réinstaller les pilotes nvidia ne changer rien.

Encore du neuf, j'ai encore essayé de réparer mes erreurs, en revenant au moins à mon premier problème. Je suis revenu à la bonne résolution en "purgeant" nvidia (ce que j'avais déjà fat, mais là ça a marcher... Je vais pas me plaindre)
Par contre Cinnamon est toujours en freelance et j'ai pas encore réinstallé de pilotes pour la carte graphique, je vais rester avec le pilote libre le temps que ça se calme.

Tu as de l'optimus, il faut installer soit Prime ou Bumblebee, avec nvidia uniquement ça marche pas.

Bumblebee installé hier, je me débat actuellement avec des messages du genre

Je continue à chercher la solution.

En tous cas je n'ai plus de crash, donc problème initial résolu.

Que ce passe-t-il si tu lances cette commande :

Quel pilote nvidia as-tu installé ?

Désolé, je n'avais pas vu ton message. J'ai réinstallé bumblebee suivant plusieurs tutos (mais grosso modo c'est pareil) et toujours pas de résolution. J'ai également installé Primus.

J'ai désinstallé bumblebee et installé Prime, ça marche bien maintenant, donc problème non résolu au sens propre, mais évité tout de meme.

Il ne fallait pas installer Bumblebee ! sous Ubuntu le driver "nvidia" gère la technologie optimus avec Primus en te laissant le choix entre nvidia et intel, Bumblebee est surtout intéressant sur les autres distributions linux comme Debian, ArchLinux car il n'y a pas primus sur ces distributions.

De plus j'ai vu que t'a installé CInnamon par dessus Ubuntu :ce n'est pas vraiment conseillé, il est préférable de partir directement sur "Linux Mint".

Avec synaptic tu pourrais seulement bloquer la version du pilote et ainsi continuer à avoir les màj du reste.
Essaye en bloquant seulement le paquet du driver et si ce n'est pas suffisant il faudra probablement bloquer le noyau.
Dans synaptic va sur ton driver et dans l'onglet "paquet" tu peux le bloquer la version.

sudo synaptic

si tu ne l'a pas

sudo apt install synaptic
