install dual boot ubuntu / win 10 qui bloque à GRUB2 - Acer ES1-732

Bonjour,
Je débute avec Linux. Marre de me sentir captif de Microsoft. J'ai jamais été Apple parce que je voulais un système ouvert, et avec Windows 10 la liberté qui restait a disparu. Bref tout ça pour dire que je ne connais pas grand chose en informatique et en Linux en particulier.
J'ai tenté à deux reprises des installations de Ubuntu 16.04.4 en double boot avec windows 10. Elles se sont interrompues au moment de l'installation de grub2. En consultant ce forum je me suis rendu compte que je n'étais pas seul dans ce cas...
J'ai exactement le même problème que Nancy. Mon ordi (tout neuf) est un ACER ES1-732-P03D. Hasard ? Non je ne crois pas.

Je suis assez dubitatif sur la solution proposée par Nancy:  je ne vois pas bien comment modifier ma partition de disque pour éviter le problème. J'avais alloué un peu plus d'1 To pour un disque de données partagées. Est-ce qu'il faudrait que je réduise ce volume ?
Avec pas mal de difficultés j'avais réussi à désactiver le secure boot préalablement à l'installation d'Ubuntu

Petite précision complémentaire pour faciliter la compréhension du boot info : Après le deuxième plantage j'ai reconfiguré ma partition de disque avec windows. Reformaté la partie allouée aux données en ntfs au lieu d' ext4 et "écrasé" la partition d'installation d'Ubuntu en élargissant cette partition des données.
J'envisage d'installer la version 17.10 qui semble plus compatible avec Windows 10.
Voilà. Que pensez-vous de tout ça ?

Ton projet d'installer la version 17.10 de Ubuntu est une mauvaise idée : c'est la version que tu utilises actuellement (16.04.4) qui convient pour cet ordi.

Si ton Bios n'a pas cette fonctionnalité, je ne sais pas t'aider à installer Ubuntu en dual-boot avec ton Windows 10 préinstallé.

Lorsque l'ordinateur ACER n'a pas la fonctionnalité de "select an uefi as trusted", on y arrive quand même à le faire démarrer. Mais c'est un peu du tâtonnement

@?? : je n'arrive pas à comprendre pourquoi cette fonctionnalité "select an uefi file as trusted for executing" n'est pas présente sur TOUS les modèles du fabricant Acer. Bon d'accord le modèle Acer Aspire ES1-732-P03D, c'est du bas de gamme. Mais quand même...

Et du bas de gamme a quelquefois un bios pas au point et  pas fini voir en 32 bits.

Celui-la ne sait que faire booter windows. .....
Et il se met à bugger au moment de la fin de l'installation de grubx64.efi. En ne passant pas à shimx64
Mon impression est que ce style d'ordinateur ne sait fonctionner qu'en mode secure
      Donc le grub n'est pas connu ce qui est normal .
      Mais d'après d'autres discussions, le shimx64 non plus, J'ai vu l'a préconisation de mettre l'option NVRAM dans la commande pour éviter de boucler pendant l'installation.

Si ce micro ne  s'en tire pas avec la solution standard, pour gagner du  temps, il faut déjà installer refind en  utilisant windows. Voir ma signature.

J'ai été trainer sur un forum ACER, où il apparait que beaucoup ont des problèmes similaire au mien.

@ Malbo. Impossible de trouver la fonctionnalité "select an UEFI...". J'ai contacté le service client ACER et j'attends la réponse.

@ ?? . J'ai fait la manip pour installer refind. Je ne comprends plus à partir de "Vérifier que le boot via SG2D est bien opérationnel. " je ne sais pas ce que cela veut dire. Un peu plus loin quand il est question de clé USB s'agit-il d'une clé de boot Uduntu ? J'ai gravé un DVD au lieu d'une clé, est-ce que ça change quelque-chose ?

Sur la plupart des systèmes Acer, on peut utiliser la touche F12 ou  Suppr au démarrage pour choisir le lecteur ou le réseau à partir duquel effectuer le chargement du système d’exploitation. Au cas où l’option F12 ne fonctionne pas,  cette fonction n'est peut-être pas activée.
Pour activer la fonction :
Pour entrer dans le BIOS, allumez votre ordinateur. Dès le démarrage de votre système d'exploitation, maintenez enfoncée la touche « F2 ». Si vous possédez un PC de bureau et que cette manipulation ne vous a pas permis d'accéder au BIOS, nous vous invitons à éteindre votre ordinateur et à l'allumer en tapotant sur la touche F12 ou« Suppr ».
    Appuyez sur la touche directionnelle fléche droite pour sélectionner Main (Principal).
    Utilisez les touches directionnelles pour naviguer jusqu'à F12 Boot Menu (Menu de démarrage F12), et appuyez sur ENTRÉE.
    Sélectionnez Enabled (Activé), et appuyez sur ENTRÉE.
    Appuyer sur la touche F10 pour enregistrer les changements et redémarrer l'ordinateur.
Si la fonction de menu de démarrage n’est pas disponible dans le menu de configuration du BIOS, donc l’option n’est pas disponible sur votre système.

PC d'origine thinkcentre A55 équipé gigabyte AMD FX 3,8GHz (OC 4GHz), 24Go de RAM,DD windows10 2To,DD ubuntu 18.04LTS 365Go, DD sauvegardes mixte 1To et DD divers 160Go.
Acharnée, jeune, j'apprends sur le tas et que les erreurs font partie du jeu mais toujours avoir un clone de son système au cas où !

était hors sujet.    Je viens de la supprimer.

Au mieux SG2D est un OS qui permet aussi de booter à partir d'un support CD, lorsque le grub ne fonctionne pas.


Si tu as installé  l'installateur de UBUNTU sur un dvdrom, refind ne saura pas le détecter, Il faut qu'il soit installé sur une clé USB pour lancer l'installation.
Mais, tu n'es pas dans ce contexte, puisque ubuntu est déjà installé sur le disque dur.

J'ai appliqué la procédure d'installation de refind à la lettre et quand je redémarre Windows se lance directement.
Pourtant la dernière ligne de commande avait été saluée par un message du type "réalisé avec succès". sad
Pour ce qui est du démarrage avec activation de F12 ou mise à jour du BIOS je l'avais déjà tenté mais sans succès. Pour la version du BIOS je me suis rendu compte après coup que j'avais réinstallé la même version roll...
Merci pour votre aide mais je jette l'éponge. Je n'aurai pas réussi à m'échapper de Win10.

Concernant le service client ACER, ils annonçaient une réponse sous 48 heures. Le délai est dépassé. La question est certainement plus compliquée que "comment changer l'image de mon bureau ?" J'ai peu d'espoir d'avoir une réponse qui ouvre une perspective.

Je pense que vous avez raison : le bios est minimal, en dessous de tous les standards. Il y a quand même un ordre de priorité de lecteur de démarrage mais j'ai beau changer il va toujours chercher sur le disque dur !!!! La seule manière de booter sur le DVDROM c'est avec cette utilisation de F12.

Avec ton support d'installation, peut-tu donner le retour de la commande

sudo efibootmgr -v

Je pense que c'est le dernier virage.
Rappel. On n'en est qu'au diziéme. Dans l'ensemble, il y en a plus du double. Quelquefois même plus de 200. Il faut persévérer.

On n'a pas encore demandé á windows de lancer refind car je pense que ce bios est moins pourri que le bios des ordinateurs HP.
A tout hasard, refais un boot-info, on y verra un peu mieux comment refind est installé qu'avec la simple commande ci-dessus.

Utiliser REFIND au lieu du GRUB https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/refind . Aidez à vous faire dépanner en suivant le guide et en utilisant les outils de diagnostic J'ai perdu ma gomme. Désolé pour les fautes d'orthographes non corrigées.

Nota : j'ai retenté une installation d'Ubuntu après que le démarrage avec refind n'ait pas marché. C'était peut-être idiot mais bon on fait pas toujours des choses intelligentes surtout quand on est pas dans un domaine où on est à l'aise.

Je veux bien persévérer mais je tape des lignes de commande sans comprendre ce qu'elles font. C'est comme être dans le brouillard, c'est très désagréable.
Je vous fais confiance mais à chaque modification je ne peux pas m’empêcher de me demander si je ne fais pas plus de mal que de bien.

On y voit SecureBoot enabled
   Je crois me souvenir que tu es incapable de déactiver ce secure boot.
On y voit "Boot0000* Unknown Device:     HD(1,GPT,ce171bc2-3149-4c09-8027-77dd97c5930c,0x800,0x32000)/File(EFIubuntugrubx64.efi)RC"
cette ligne contient un démarrage avec le programme grubx64.efi    qui est passé en unknown
C'est tout à fait normal, il ne sait pas dialoguer en mode secure.

Cependant, ce n'est plus la peine de forcer avec refind, car lui non plus ne sait pas dialoguer en mode sécure.

Pendant que je fais plus de recherche sur ce problème SECURE, Fais un essai de boot de ubuntu en utilisant windows. puisque tu le possèdes.

Utiliser REFIND au lieu du GRUB https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/refind . Aidez à vous faire dépanner en suivant le guide et en utilisant les outils de diagnostic J'ai perdu ma gomme. Désolé pour les fautes d'orthographes non corrigées.

Je suis tout nouveau sur le forum : inscrit depuis 1/2h.
Intéressé par Ubuntu depuis des années, aujourd'hui, je vise une ( ou 2 ) installation(s) :
1°- PC  DELL de 6 ans : Core-i5 - RAM 4Go - HD 320 Go : j'ai téléchargé et installé Windows10 ( i64 ) il y a 2 mois.
2°- PC ACER ASPIRE A315-51  de 2017 : Core-i5 - RAM 4Go - HD 1 To : à la mise en service initiale, il m'a fallu télécharger 9Go de mises à jour W-10 (12 heures de téléchargement) puis installation = 8 heures ; plusieurs jours de debugging de l'installation.
Malgré une longue carrière dans l'informatique d'arrière-grand-papa ( j'ai 73 ans et je plaide les circonstances atténuantes ) , je ne suis pas très geek.
Donc appréhension certaine à me lancer dans l'install' d' Ubuntu.
Ce que je lis ci-dessus ( Cas BillyB que je salue ) me plonge dans une perplexité profonde. Ayant vu un de mes petits-enfants ( qui, malheureusement, habite à 800 km de chez moi ), qui a installé Ubuntu sans problème, j'ai commencé à préparer le terrain : mes 2 PC's ont été défragmentés et repartitionnés avec une partition U: ( Ubuntu ) de 20 Go pour le DELL, et de 100 Go pour l'ACER.

... Maintenant, est-ce qu'il vous semble sage pour moi de persévérer dans mon projet Ubuntu ? ... et, si oui, comment progresser en sécurité ?

tu vas modifier le contenu du bootorder pour mettre refind en priorité sur windows  avec la commande

sudo efibootmgr -o   3,4

Tu vérifies que cela a bien été été pris via la commande

sudo efibootmgr -v

tu devrais voir que cette ligne
BootOrder: 0004,2002,2001,2003
est
devenue
BootOrder: 0003,0004
cela sera le moment de booter sans le support d'installation.

NOTA pour un peu comprendre cette commande

efibootmgr  --help
man efibootmgr

c'est valable  pour presque toutes les commandes.

NOTA, je viens de voir dans la documentation que  normalement tu peux changer l'ordre de boot, mais je ne sais pas ce que cela cache.

J'ai probablement une solution de secours très efficace, si ce qu'on fait ci-dessus ne fonctionne pas

Tu vérifies que le secure boot est bien DISABLE
Tu bootes avec le support d'installation.
Tu choisis essayer avant d'installer
Tu mets le clavier en français   via la commande "setxkbmap fr" probablement à frapper setxkb,qp fr
Tu passes en mode chef via la commande

sudo -i

Tu démontes la partition de boot au cas où elle serait montée

 umount  -v  /dev/sda1

Si elle n'est pas montée, tu auras un message d'erreur explicite à ne pas prendre en compte.
Tu montes la partition dans un bon point de montage.

 mount -v  /dev/sda1 /mnt

Tu ne dois pas avoir de message d'erreur.
Tu copies tout le répertoire de refind dans le répertoire de OEM via la commande

cp   -r     /mnt/refind/*    /mnt/OEM/Boot

Tu sauvegardes le fichier windows présent

cp  /mnt/OEM/Boot/bootmgfw.efi       /mnt/OEM/Boot/OEMbootmgfw.efi

Tu le remplaces par refind

cp   -v   /mnt/OEM/Boot/refind_x64.efi      /mnt/OEM/Boot/bootmgfw.efi

et au cas où cela ne serait pas OEM mais Microsoft, on fait la même chose. (Plus tard, on identifiera et on fera le ménage).
Tu copies tout le répertoire de refind dans le répertoire de OEM via la commande

cp   -r     /mnt/refind/*    /mnt/Microsoft/Boot

Tu sauvegardes le fichier windows présent

cp  /mnt/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi       /mntMicrosoft/Boot/MICbootmgfw.efi

Tu le remplaces par refind

cp   -v   /mnt/Microsoft/Boot/refind_x64.efi      /mnt/Microsoft/Boot/MICbootmgfw.efi

Si plus tard, tu n'aimes pas refind et que tu préfères le grub, on pourra le faire tout aussi facilement si le répertoire de démarrage est OEM.
et c'est plus compliqué si le répertoire de démarrage est Microsoft car la commande OS-PROBER lancera le grub en voulant lancer windows!!!!
Donc une astuce connue de plus à traiter....

Hou la la . Ça me fait plein de boulot ça. Il va me falloir du temps. Je vous tiens au courant.
Je confirme que je n'ai pas de difficulté à désactiver le secure boot, mais jusque là je n'ai pas constaté de différence et il était effectivement activé lors de mon dernier boot-info.

Pour le hors sujet. j'ai vu,   Le problème est qu'à partir de mardi prochain je serais beaucoup moins disponible pendant une quinzaine.

Avec le secure boot déactivé, on devrait réussir à mettre refind en priorité. On verra alors si ce BIOS le met aussi UNKNOWN.
Car c'est plus standard que d'aller trafiquer les fichiers de boot de windows et de l'OS. A une époque boot-repair le faisait mais on a tous demandé le retrait de cette fonctionnalité qui était trop souvent employée à tort et qui n'est pas stable, windows ayant tendance à s'autoréparer.

Bon ben c'est pas gagné.
1) impossible de lancer ubuntu depuis win 10 je n'ai pas ce choix. Seulement DVD, USB et network
2) Ubuntu plante avec la commande sudo efibootmgr -o   3,4 Je n'arrive pas à changer l'ordre
3) Bonne nouvelle j'arrive à changer les priorités dans le bios et ça a un effet. J'ai réussi à booter sur le DVDROM par défaut. Dans le choix je ne trouve pas refind. J'ai les choix suivants :

CDROM
Windows boot manager
HDD : ST2000LM007-1R8174
USB FDD
Network Boot-IPV4
USB HDD
USB CDROM
Network Boot-IPV6

J'attends un retour avant de tester la solution très efficace. smile

Je n'ai malheureusement pas beaucoup de temps à consacrer à cette installation et moi aussi durant deux semaines je vais être particulièrement indisponible.
@ Léonard, Je pense que vous avez plus de compétence que moi, plus de temps aussi(ce qui me fait défaut),  après c'est une question de motivation.

merci de tes retours.
Avec  ces derniers tests, on est certain d'avoir un ordinateur bridé, qui n'aurait jamais du entrer en europe.  Donc Tu te fais paser pour windows sans aucun regret, je t'ai donné la procédure pour écrire dans les deux répertoires.
   Soit tu fais les deux en même temps, soit tu ne fais que le premier et tu testes. Si même problème , tu fais aussi le second et tu  testes constate que cela boote enfin?
Si cela ne boote toujours pas, un nouveau boot-info afin de voir si ce qui a été modifié est conforme à ce que je pensais faire réaliser.


On peut laisser cette discussion en stand-by jusqu'au 15 mai ,  cela ne pose aucun problème.

Qu'est-ce que tu veux dire par "qui n'aurait jamais du entrer en Europe" ?

J'ai essayé de remonter la partition et j'obtiens ce qui me semble être un message d'erreur :
