RESOLU]Faire co-habiter la 16.04 et la18.04?

Bonjour,
ayant un double problème avec Ubuntu 16.04
1°) au démarrage j'ai un "mode video no activad" qui apparaît" je ne m'en occupe pas puis finalement il me demande mon mot de passe et enfin ça marche ce problème a été traité ici et resté sans solutions
2°) Au bout d'un moment de fonctionnement l'ordinateur s’arrête net puis s’éteint, aucun avertissement rien, problème ventilation? je ne crois pas, mon ordinateur un Samsung-R530-R730-P530
Alors j'ai pensé installer Ubuntu 18.04 en double pour vérifier, sinon quoi faire, une aide serait bien appréciable

Ton ordi est un Samsung R530 ou R730 ou P530. C'est un ordi qui est sorti en 2010. Pourquoi ton ordi sorti il y a 8 ans serait mieux géré par la toute dernière version de Ubuntu que par la version 16.04 ?
Juste pour vérifier, peux-tu passer la commande suivante et coller le retour utilisable dans ta réponse :

je  voulais commencer ma question "à question bête, réponse idiote" en effet pourquoi la 18.04 serait mieux que 16.04 mais il fallait tenter: la réponse du terminal

Oui, entre-temps j'avais vu que tu utilisais le noyau de la famille 4.4.0-XXX et c'est bien ce qu'il convient d'utiliser dans le cas de ton ordi vieillissant. Je ne sais pas t'aider pour ton pb ""mode video no activad"" mais je suis intervenu pour tenté d'éviter la fuite en avant. En effet, combien de fois j'ai pu voir ce genre de fil : "j'ai tenté la mise à niveau vers le dernière LTS parce que j'avais un souci avec l'install actuelle et maintenant ça ne marche plus du tout". C'est nul. Dans ton cas, si tu craques et que tu veux sortir radicalement de l'ornière, il faut faire une installation toute neuve et propre de Ubuntu 16.04.1 64 bits - maintenue jusqu'en Avril 2021, presque 3 ans devant toi ce n'est pas rien - afin de retrouver la même version que celle que tu as actuellement.

Mon PC vieillissant 8ans j'envisage de le changer, mais si je fais une installation de la 16.04.1 64 bits je dois en premier sauvegarder mes dossiers bon je vais suivre ton conseil

Si tu fais une install toute neuve, ne te fais pas piéger par la version 16.04.4 qui est proposée par défaut sur la page de téléchargement du site. Il faut que tu installes la version 16.04.1 64 bits et si tu n'as plus le support live qui t'a permis d'installer ton Ubuntu, je te recommande de télécharger le fichier qui va bien (ubuntu-16.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso

Si tu installes la version 16.04.1, tu es dans la branche la plus stable. C'est la version adaptée à ton vieil ordi et c'est celle que tu utilises actuellement.
Si tu installes une version supérieure (16.04.2 et suivantes), tu es dans un machin évolutif dont le but est de s'adapter aux ordis les plus récents. Rien à foutre pour toi.

Tu veux sauvegarder ton installation actuelle ou ton install future ? Si c'est ton install future, je te conseille de faire une installation avec une partition de données perso (partition /home) comme ça tu pourras faire régulièrement une image de ta partition racine avec Clonezilla et en cas de pb, tu peux restaurer ta partition racine. Si c'est ce que tu pratiques déjà dans ton install actuelle, c'est bien et continue à le faire pour la future install.

Bonjour malbo,
J'ai installé la version 16.04.1 mis à jour 16.04.04, j'ai galéré c'est en anglais et je n'y connais rien, il y a maintenant 2 partitions qui ne sont pas identiques la première 282 GO et la seconde 235 GO, dans la première dans "HOME" Je retrouve toutes mes sauvegardes, Maintenant j'ai deux problèmes, sur l'ancienne version j'avais lancé un serveur local en tapant "localhost" j'y avais accès, plus maintenant et je ne sais pas comment utiliser clonezilla, est-ce que je dois ouvrir une autre discussion?
Merci de tes conseils, ça marche impeccable.

Vu de ma chaise, c'est dur à comprendre. Pour m'aider, ce serait utile que tu fasses un Boot-Info depuis une session de ton Ubuntu qui marche impeccable et que tu donnes l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse.

Les fichiers de démarrage de [L'OS actuellement utilisé - Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS] sont loin du début du disque. Votre BIOS pourrait ne pas les détecter. Dans cet extrait du fichier texte que tu as collé dans le post #14, on peut voir que tu as 3 installations de Ubuntu 16.04.1 :

Personnellement, est-ce que j'ai besoin de tris installations? je ne pense pas, mais les deux en trop ne sont pas les deux partitions qui se sont créées sans me demander mon avis?

Pourrais-tu faire une sauvegarde sur disque dur externe de toutes les données précieuses que tu as dans cet ordi ? Si oui, je pense qu'il est possible de virer tout ce qu'il y a actuellement sur ton disque dur pour faire une installation d'un seul Ubuntu au lieu de 3. Sinon, je te conseille de rester dans l'état actuel parce que je crains que tu fasses empirer les choses plutôt que les assainir.
