Réinstallation Sapphire Radeon R7 240 Boost - 4 Go

Salut la communauté smile

Je reviens poster un petit message par ici suite à un problème avec ma carte graphique Sapphire Radeon R7 240 Boost - 4 Go.

En fait elle a longtemps fonctionné normalement (enfin, je crois) mais récemment je me suis acheté un nouveau jeu et, je ne sais pas pourquoi, je me suis dit que j'allais voir si cette carte graphique avait tout de bien installé (je ne me souviens plus si j'avais installé des choses lorsque je l'avais fixée à mon ordi la première fois : je crois que j'ai juste branché la sortie écran dessus, ça marchait, et je ne me suis pas posé plus de question que ça).

Donc j'ai regardé sur le site du fabricant, qui proposait un driver pour Linux que j'ai installé en suivant la démarche ici :

J'ai relancé un ancien jeu (Team Fortress 2, pour ne pas le nommer) et c'était tout lent et saccadé, alors qu'avant ça marchait relativement bien (quoique je ne pouvais pas pousser les graphismes au maximum au risque que la mémoire ne suive pas et ferme le jeu - ce qui m'a toujours paru un peu bizarre et qui est aussi la raison pour laquelle je me suis dit que tout n'était pas correctement installé pour faire fonctionner au mieux ma carte graphique).

Du coup je me suis dit "bon, il doit me manquer un truc que j'ai pas installé" et j'ai lancé (au pif, j'avoue) la commande pour installer "amdgpu Pro Graphics Stack" :

./amdgpu-pro-install -y --opencl=pal

Et là ça a été la merde : impossible de redémarrer (écran noir), quand je rebootais ça me donnait quand même un lanceur Grub où j'ai pu démarrer en sans échec puis normal. Ca a marché une fois et après impossible de me reconnecter : quand je rentrais mon mot de passe pour démarrer ma session, je revenais sur l'écran comme si je n'avais rien rentré, impossible aussi de lancer une console même en mode sans échec, etc.

Donc j'ai démonté ma carte graphique, rebranché ma sortie écran sur la carte mère, et là pouf, j'ai pu me connecter et désinstaller amdgup :

amdgpu-pro-uninstall

Ca remarche mais je voudrais quand même remonter ma carte graphique. Ma question c'est : qu'est-ce que je dois installer comme pilotes pour que ça fonctionne normalement ? Suivre ce tuto uniquement ?

amdgpu n'est pour le moment pas prévu pour ta carte graphique
amdgpu est fait pour le moment pour les carte graphique plus récente, peut être plus tard

le pilote radeon intégré dans le kernel fait le travail pour ta carte graphique

tu peux pas contre avoir la dernière version de ton pilote (radeon + mesa) via un ppa

Merci beaucoup de ta réponse.

Cependant je ne comprends pas sur quoi tu te bases pour dire qu'AMDgpu n'est pas prévu pour ma carte graphique ?

Quand je fais une recherche de pilotes sur https://support.amd.com/fr-fr/download pour ma carte (je suis sous Ubuntu 16.04 LTS), ça me renvoit bien à cette page https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articl … Notes.aspx où je peux télécharger le pilote pour ma version de Linux ("Radeon™ Software for Linux® version 18.20 for Ubuntu 16.04.4" - ce que j'ai téléchargé et installé la dernière fois à l'aide ce tuto).

Quand j'ai installé ça, le jeu était complètement saccadé et injouable. Du coup j'ai lancé par dessus une installation avec le "pro", et là c'est mon ordi qui était inutilisable.

D'accord merci. J'ai fait ce que tu as dit, et ça m'a l'air d'être revenu comme avant (dans le jeu auquel je joue, quand je clique sur une certaine option, le jeu se ferme en plein milieu, comme ça me faisait avant que j'essaye de mettre à jour les pilotes - ce bug ne se produit pas quand j'utilise mon écran branché directement sur ma carte mère pour gérer le graphisme).

PS : ma carte graphique indique ça : "AMD OLAND (DRM 2.43.0 / 4.4.0-128-generic, LLVM 5.0.0)"

mets ton kernel a jour
tu es en 4.4, ya certainement eu des correction dans le drm pour ton pilote

oui et non
tu es sur ubuntu 16.04 ?
après il faudrait que tu nous en disent plus sur l'option en question qui ne fonctionne pas
ptet que ça n'a tout simplement pas été implémenté dans le pilote

si ça tourne en le branchant sur ta carte mere, tu dois tourner sur le chipset intel intégré (bon pilote mais perf de merde) mais je ne sais pas ce que tu as comme config pc donc je sais pas

Tu as besoin d'avoir quoi comme infos ? (oui, je suis sous Ubuntu 16.04 LTS).

Le message qui s'affiche est le suivant :
"Out of memory or address space. Texture quality setting may be too high" (le jeu c'est Team Fortress 2, donc pas un truc de ouf non plus, et les réglages que je mets sont soit ceux recommandés par le jeu en fonction de ma config, soit légèrement baissés). Desfois il n'y a pas de message du tout et ça se ferme directement :'(

le message tu l'as quand ton ecran est branché sur ta carte mere ? ou aussi sur ta radeon ?

J'ai ce bug quand je suis branché sur ma Radeon, mais ça me le faisait beaucoup plus régulièrement quand j'étais branché sur ma carte mère (du coup je me suis dit que c'était un problème de puissance de carte graphique et j'ai acheté ma Radeon, avec une amélioration pendant un temps où ça ne bugguait pas, puis ça a recommencé à la suite de MAJ du jeu).

c'est un bug lié au jeu, pas spécialement lié a linux ou a ton matos.

Oui, j'étais déjà tombé sur ces solutions : ça marche si je baisse les textures de TF2 (mais c'est quand même abusé, ma machine est largement assez puissante pour les faire tourner au max sans problème). L'autre solution que j'ai trouvée (qui apparemment est la meilleure), c'est d'effacer le cache du jeu au fur et à mesure, mais la solution n'est donnée que pour Windows :
