Perte boot suite mise à jour ubuntu10 vers 18 sur un dual boot xp
Bonjour,
J’ai un pc en dual boot ubuntu10/xp.
Je n’étais pas allé sur mon ubuntu depuis un moment, et quand je l’ai lancé il m’a proposé une mise à jour vers le 18, que j’ai accepté... une fois fini, au redémarrage il me propose grue rescue >
Plus de boot possible sur xp ou ubuntu.
Quand je mets le live cd ubuntu 11 je vois dans mon dossier computer, un dossier correspondant à ubuntu 10, un dossier Windows, et un dossier correspondant à ubuntu 18.
Comment puis-je récupérer mon dual boot sans tout réinstaller et en gardant ce que j’ai dans mes deux systèmes ? Quitte à rester sur la version 10.
Je ferai une réinstallation plus récente plus tard.
J’ai vu un post intéressant pour mon cas, mais je ne suis pas sûr que ça soit ma solution:

Bonjour, c'est un problème classique, le grub est cassé. Consultes les guides pour le réparer.

Par exemple celui de ma signature qui devrait te permettre de rebooter avec le noyau ancien avec un peu de chance

Utiliser REFIND au lieu du GRUB https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/refind . Aidez à vous faire dépanner en suivant le guide et en utilisant les outils de diagnostic J'ai perdu ma gomme. Désolé pour les fautes d'orthographes non corrigées.

C’etait Sur mon téléphone, dans la barre d’adresse il y a ce numéro de topic qui apparaît donc en ouvrant n’importe quel sujet, il suffit de remplacer le numéro par celui que j’ai donné et ça ouvre le sujet. Et c’est le post 25 qui m’a interpellé, tout en bas de page

Je n’ai rien trouvé sur votre signature qui me sauve pour le moment, il me reste à tenter avec boot repair depuis le live cd si c’est possible

Effectivement j’avais en mémoire d’avoir débuté sur la 10... je n’avais pas souvenir d’avoir fait des mises à jour depuis... mais je viens de réparer mon grub avec boot repair, et je vois que je suis sur la version 14, je l’avais donc évolué, bien vu.
Merci pour l’idée de boot repair, après trop d’années loin de Linux, on perd ses repères, va falloir s’y remettre.
Bon au moins ça redémarre, juste un problème avec gtk-update-icon-cache-3.0
Du coup j’ai ubuntu 14 et xp, je ne vois pas de trace de la partition ubuntu 18, boot repair l’a t’il effacé ou isolé ?

Du coup j’ai ubuntu 14 et xp, je ne vois pas de trace de la partition ubuntu 18, boot repair l’a t’il effacé ou isolé ?
En gras, boot-repair n'efface rien, il modifie mais selon le mode de boot :
- en legacy (non-efi) modife du MBR
- en efi, modife de la partoche efi
Depuis ton ubu 14, fais-nous un boot-info (voir doc) normalement t'es encore bon pour ce faire (fin de support après 2019)on attends le rapport.

Bonsoir.
Un avis personnel. La version 14.04.5 fonctionnera bien jusqu'en Avril 2019 .
Tu as donc six mois devant toi pour rétrécir une partition d'environ 30 Go pour installer la version 18.04.2 qui va bientôt arriver en dual boot afin d'éviter le risque de double-surclasement.
Utiliser REFIND au lieu du GRUB https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/refind . Aidez à vous faire dépanner en suivant le guide et en utilisant les outils de diagnostic J'ai perdu ma gomme. Désolé pour les fautes d'orthographes non corrigées.

Jeje, le rapport semble sain. Mais on voit qu'il manque environ 110 Go d'espace non allouée. Mon conseil, conserve ubuntu 14 jusqu'en avril puis tu le feras évoluer vers 18.04. Pour Windows XP, attention, si Windows se connecte à internet tu met en péril ta machine car XP n'a plus de mise à jour de sécurité depuis un long moment et tu risque de te faire pirater ou choper une saleté de malware.

Oui je savais pour les 110 Go non alloués, en fait c'était une partition de sauvegarde de fichiers que j'ai aussi heureusement sauvegardé sur deux disques externes (un gros et un de poche), un jour j'ai perdu cette partition (je ne sais plus à cause de quoi) et je me suis toujours dit que j'essaierais de voir si je peux la récupérer avec ce qu'il y avait dessus (au cas où certains fichiers n'avaient pas été sauvegardés sur les disques externes), et je n'ai jamais trouvé le temps de me pencher sur la question, elle est donc restée en stand-by en mode non allouées... mais ce n'est peut-être pas possible de retrouver les fichiers qui s'y trouvaient ???
Pour mon vieux XP, mon pc est protégé par Avast quand même. je m'en sers quotidiennement, je l'avais fait évolué en sp3 et je suis volontairement revenu sur XP sp2 car la version 3 était une plaie.
Mais je vais dans un futur proche quand j'aurai un peu plus de temps, repasser sur une réinstallation propre: Simple boot sur ubuntu récent ou peut-être un autre linux (à voir ce qui se fait) et je monterai wndows en système virtuel avec un virtualbox par exemple, comme ça plus de problème de piratage !!

Jeje, désolé de le dire sans mettre les formes, mais tu es complètement inconscient d'utiliser XP avec internet. On ne parle pas de virus. Il s'agit de faille de sécurité béante dans XP permettant à des sites Internet de les exploiter pour installer sur ta machine des programmes permettant aux pirates de tout voir ce que tu fais, ce que tu tapes au clavier et de récupérer tout tes codes. Rien à voir avec des malware que l'anti-virus peux détecter. Ces failles sont existantes, n'ont pas de correctif et ne seront jamais corrigées. Tu ne vois pas, tu le détecte pas et pourtant des personnes malveillants ont sûrement déjà installé ces programmes sur ta machine. Agis au plus vite
