[Résolu]Dual boot Ubuntu Win10
Problème classique tant on peut trouver des pages et des pages mais rarement une seule marche à suivre:
Alors pour aller vite ma démarche:
Réveil matin windows buggé, bug session/utilisateur après une maj, marche en sans échec mais pas content (jamais content), et ne trouve pas de solution viable au bout de 1h30 de recherche.
Alors byebye windows, ras le bol (en partie mais dans 80% du temps)
Idée Dual boot, ubuntu pour le surf ect et windows seulement pour jeux et montage vidéo.
C'est mon 3ème linux, un lubuntu sur un vieux eee mais qui marche du tonnerre, un dual boot sur un portable qui fonctionne mais win10 le ralentit tellement que je boot jamais dessus avec.
Le dual boot à été problematique à l'époque car j'avais modifié les partitions windows sous ubuntu pdt l'install...
Windows 7 que je fresh install en win10 grâce à ma vieille licence, tout est backé sur un autre DD, pas de pb de récup de données.
WIn10 ça marche, je libère de l'espace depuis windows pour que ubuntu puisse faire sa partition: 25 giga.
Bien entendu c'est de l'uefi , pas du boot classique, Je désactive tout les fast boot secure ect
Les pbs commencent:
impossible de booter ma live usb, je la test sur un autre pc et elle fonctionne donc pas la clef qui crotte...
Je creuse mais je creuse tellement que le lis plusieurs fois (in english) que certains ont débranché leur lecteurs dvds (WTF) pour booter mais ça marche!!!!!!!!!!
Ok j'imagine qu'il genait le boot de la clef, ils bootent tous ensembles et lui bah c'est le gros qu'on délaisse en plus (maintenant il est coupé de ressources même).
Deuxième problème,
Je lance l'install avec espoir et bam deuxième mur, l'install merde: peut pas charger grub gpt amd64 ect... Apparement classique.
Donc je creuse et un gars a réussi en réinstallant par dessus l'install ubuntu qui avait foiré: ça marche pour moi aussi!!
A ce moment je me rend compte que lors de l'installation il aurait pu/du me dire d'installer à coté de windows mais il ne l'a pas détecté apparement, détail.?
Bref Ubuntu ça marche mais windows ça marche pu...
J'ai accès à la racine de windows sous ubuntu donc ça sent le pti problème seulement
Quand je boot sur le dd de windows, via l'ordre des disques, j'ai le message du boot cassé classique.
Alors je tente un repair boot depuis Ubuntu, changements:
Je fais nimpe nawak forcément en suivant des tutos pas adaptés mais avec l'espoir que je n'ai pas encore perdu.
Quand je boot j'ai pu le choix c'est ubuntu (qui fonctionne) direct et même si j'inverse l'ordre de boot dans le bios.

Voilà je suis lost mais pas stranded.
J'ai un ssd samsung 830 250 giga et une ASRock > H77 Pro4/MVP avec un bios magnifique, cliquable et le plus à jour possible.
Je suis tout en fresh install donc je cherche vraiment à faire cohabité les deux os, pas de panique j'ai même d'autres pc.

Pfiou c'est la croix et la bannière...
Je me dis donc que je vais récreer ma liveusb, plus rapide que windows, car je crois avoir en plus le souvenir d'avoir coché uefi quelque part à la création de cette liveusb sous windows avec rufus en un rien de temps.
Et quand je boot le pc, j'ai le choix avec uefi ou "rien devant" ma liveusb dans l'ordre des boots et forcément le "rien devant "ne marche pas...
Bien sur je n'ai plus de windows donc je vais le faire sous Linux mais Wot?

Gnome-Disk-Utility : déjà avec ce nom je ne le trouve pas, y' a un truc qui s'appelle disque et qui y ressemble mais il ne comporte pas d'option "restaurer l'image disque" mais "restaurer la partition"
Alors j'essaie quand même mais ça ne marchera pas.
Unetbootin, ah je connais, j'ai fais des liveusb fonctionnelles avec! Il n'est plus dispo dans les dépôts, je l'installe quand même avec les lignes de commandes, je le lance et là j'ai juste un fenêtre grise...

Bon je suis un mec borné...
J'ai donc changé encore de fusil d'épaule et j'ai essayé d'installer win10 en uefi... Forcément ça ne veut pas car c'est du MBR sur le disque.
Je commence à piger...
Mais quand même, c'est du MBR mais linux sur le même disque est GPT donc le message disque en MBR est à moitié vrai.
J'imagine que j'ai deux solutions:
Réussir à faire une live usb sur linux et réinstaller linux en MBR.
Modifier le disque en GPT pour pouvoir installer win10 en uefi.
J'ai bon ou bien??

Je dirais même plus : installer Win10 sur la totalité du SSD en le laissant créer les partitions comme il veut. En principe, il va virer la table de partition MSDOS pour la remplacer par une table du type GPT, créer ses partitions et faire son install. Quand on lui laisse la bride sur le cou comme ça, Win10 fait une installation en mode UEFI. Ensuite, tu réduis la taille du disque C: de Windows depuis Windows lui-même (gestion des disques) pour faire de la place à Ubuntu. Puis tu fais l'installation proprement dite de Ubuntu. Il va s'installer de lui-même en mode UEFI.

Ok, c'est ce qui va être le plus simple, puis je pourrait refaire facilement une clef live usb sous mon windows tout neuf.
Je pense que ça va aller maintenant mais un petit doute car c'est ce que j'avais fait à la base finalement.

Si tu ne parviens pas à installer Win10 en mode EFI, c'est peut-être que ton support d'installation de Win10 est nase. Il faut utiliser une clé USB réalisée dans les règles de l'art pour faire l'install de Win10 : il y a plein de tutos sur la toile pour ça et c'est parfaitement légal. Moi j'ai suivi "Avec l'outil Microsoft" du tuto "Windows 10 : comment créer une clé USB bootable avec l'ISO Windows 10"

J'ai pu tout réinstaller en UEFI sans encombre!!
Je dois encore booter sur windows10 pour être sure que l'install ubuntu ne l'a pas fait sauté mais il me le propose bien au boot linux et j'accède au disque depuis linux.
Je crois avoir compris mon erreur de débutant: j'ai fait la maj de mon bios il y a quelque temps à cause de soucis technique qui était autre en plus...
J''ai donc cru que j'étais en uefi, le bios oui mais mon DD etait toujours en MBR...
D'avoir effacé tout le DD depuis la clef install w10 m'a donné l'option d'installer en uefi directement.
Ah ça parait si simple maintenant...
Par contre c'est vraiment de la plus grand importance de connaître son mode de bios sur le disque, je n'ai pas le souvenir que ce soit mis en grand aux débuts des tutos.

Non, en fait ce n'est pas simple. Cette situation est due au passage du Bios au système UEFI. Les carte-mères actuelles continuent à être compatibles Bios et UEFI. Et les support Live de Ubuntu sont compatibles également d'une install en mode Bios ou d'une install en mode EFI. C'est ça qui fout le brun et ça fait quasiment 10 ans qu'on est dans cette situation. Dans quelques années, les cartes-mères du marché seront toutes en mode UEFI uniquement et on n'aura plus ce merdier : il n'y aura qu'un seul mode d'installation possible, le mode UEFI.

Résolu que je croyais...
J'ai pu booter sur les deux mais après des majs de windows et m'apercevant que je n'avais pu le choix au démarrage, plus de grub et que windows bootait par défaut bien entendu.

Pas d’affolement. Fais un Boot-Info depuis une session live de Ubuntu (ordi démarré sur ta LiveUSB Ubuntu 18.04.1 64 bits, choix "Try Ubuntu without installing") et donne l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse.
Edit : ce que je crois qu'il s'est passé, c'est que la mise à jour de Windows (qui est peut-être une mise à niveau en réalité) a créé une petite partition (oui, Win10 aime bien ce genre de gag), d'où une renumérotation des partitions par Windows himself. Cette renumérotation fait que Ubuntu a du mal à trouver sa partition au démarrage...
Si le Boot-Info confirme qu'il s'agit de ce problème, c'est très facile à réparer avec Boot-repair.

très bon tuto car j'ai récupérer Linux et Windows fonctionne tjrs.
Alors oui comme c'est une installe clean de win10 il me fera encore sûrement des histoires...
Surtout que windows s'éteint toujours en faisant des maj.... "arreter et faire des majs"
Autre problème maintenant, je n'ai plus le choix au démarrage, pas de grub si j'ai bien compris et il faut donc que je jongle avec le bios pour démarrer sur la partition voulue.
Heureusement j'ai plusieurs PC et bien backé mes données!

Purée.
Je dois pouvoir faire une manip alors pour passer mon linux en uefi, il en a pas souffert d'être repassé en en bios toujours.
Après il ne me manque que le grub, c'est plus rapide que modifier le bios mais bon je vais laisser couler un temps comme ça je pense.

Ahah, j'ai cherché vite fait vu que je commence à piger et j'ai réussi à réinstaller le grub depuis une liveusb avec boot repair en faisant un truc assez simple même si la liveusb a planté la première fois... Je commence à être habitué.

Voilà exactement 40 minutes.
Je vais devenir fou.
J'ai fait la manip deux fois:
Je boot windows depuis grub avec la première option ( y'en a au moins 4 WTF).
Je fais toutes les dernière majs en me disant "on va voir" et paf il me pete le grub.
Je relance une liveusb, je fais correction auto de boot repair et paf le grub revient.
Je me dis allons y a fond, je reboot windows, pas de majs donc a priori pas de modif et paf il me pete le grub.
En voulant redémarrer y' a plus d'ubuntu dans le bios et le message d'erreur grub rescue.
Je suis sur Ubuntu, là, car j'ai remis le grub pour la 3 fois en moins d'1 heure.
Je ne retourne pas sous Windows, pas ajd et puis c'est que pour les jeux et Fallout n'est pas sorti lol.
Je me dis quand même, là en écrivant, que le grub pourrait sauter tout seul et que Windows n'est "peut être" pas à incriminer.
Donc je vais éteindre le pc et revenir.

Bon, le boot n'a pas sauté.
Pour la lsite que me donne grub pour windows:
windows UEFI bootmgfw;efi
windows boot uefi loader
windows boot uefi fbx64.efi
windows boot manager (on/dev/sda2)
Plus les 4 options pour Ubuntu et retour au bios.
Alors???
Je vais chercher un peu, je suis pas loin de la fin (ou pas)

J'ai lâché l'affaire pendant une semaine mais je vais avoir besoin de mon boot win10 bientôt!
Et ben il ne faut pas être borné des fois et laisser la "synchronicité" opérer.
J'ai à peine cherché et j'ai trouvé ça:

Et ça marche!!! Cette ligne de code à rentrer sous windows fonctionne!
Le grub est toujours là au démarrage même après plusieurs passages sous Win10, ce petit malin qui m'a fait suer (une dernière fois j'espère).
Me reste un soucis de disque en lecture seul, mon 2ème disque physique et c'est une histoire de propriété.
Il est modifiable sous windows mais pas sur Ubuntu donc et j'ai décidé d'en libérer de la place, sous win10 bien sûr, et de faire une nouvelle partition pour Ubuntu puis d'y migrer mon home avec ce tuto:

Il faudra encore que je trouve un système de backup et je serais opé à 100%, j'ai déjà trouvé tous mes équivalents de programmes sous ubuntu et ça va vite, c'est safe, bref un régal!
Même passer de gimp à photoshop ça va, bon je fais des affiches assez simples.
Je post juste dans l'éventualité que ça puisse aider quelqu'un un jour, je cherche en anglais mais tout le monde ne peut pas le faire.

Sache que "l'arrêt de Windows" est en fait une mise en hibernation (pour faire croire qu'il est rapide à l'allumage). De ce fait les partitions ntfs sont verrouillées et ne sont pas accessibles par Linux (en lecture seule seulement). Pour éviter cela :
- faire redémarrer depuis Windows (en redémarrant sur ubuntu)
- ou désactiver l'hibernation de Windows.

Hum, je n'ai pas trop compris?
De la même façon que maintenant je peux modifier les fichiers de mon 2ème disque alors que je n'ai rien fait si ce n'est que libérer de l'espace...
Ha! Justement c'est ça mais je ne sais pas comment j'ai fait!
Désactiver l'hibernation de windows, ok si ça coince à nouveau je ferais ça.
