[Résolu][18.04] Freeze aléatoire - comment investiguer ?

Bonjour à tous,

J'ai migré de 14.04 vers 18.04 lors d'une réinstalle from scratch en profitant de l'installation d'un SSD.
J'ai le PC qui freeze de temps en temps. C'est aléatoire, il n'y a pas forcément de déclencheur car à part Firefox que j'utilisais à chaque fois sur des sites différents.

Du coup, je cherche des moyens d'investiguer sur ce problème afin de la résoudre. Que me conseillez-vous ?

Bonjour à Tous,

Par freeze je comprends que tu es obligé de rebooter. Je suppose également que tu as Ubuntu et non pas une variante. Tu serais donc passé de Unity à Gnome.

En plus de ce que peuvent t'apporter les commandes proposées par inbox, tu peux aller regarder dans les logs juste après un freeze et regarder les dernières lignes logguées. Tu peux regarder /var/log/syslog /var/log/kern.log Je suppose qu'il y a également un log pour gdm.

Tu as plusieurs manières de procéder pour regarder tes logs. Soit en relançant une session normale et dans ce cas il faut chercher le début du boot et les lignes qui t'intéressent sont juste avant, soit en lançant une session live et dans ce cas les lignes de logs intéressantes sont en dernier (dans ce cas, pense bien à ouvrir les logs de ton disque dur et non pas ceux de ta session live, /var/log correspond à ta session live!)

Ok, je connaissais les balises mais je trouve ça indigeste à lire quand il y a beaucoup d'info, d'où ma question.

Voici le retour sur les commandes.
Comme j'aime bien comprendre et apprendre :
- cat /etc/default/grub : permet d'afficher la configuration du GRUB
- lsmod : ça affiche la conf. de quoi exactement ?
- dmesg : les derniers messages ? ça ressemble à ce qu'il y a dans kernel.log
- sudo lshw -c video : information sur la carte vidéo
- cat /var/log/gpu-manager.log : logs liés au GPU

La commande lsmod sert à lister les modules chargé en mémoire. Ceux ci servent à gérer les différents matériels. Dans le cas présent, je voulais voir si le modulé radeon est bien chargé.

Je viens de parcourir l'ensemble des retours demandés et n'ai trouvé aucun problème visible.

Ton système utilise-t'il Gnome-shell ou un autre environnement ?

Voici le retour sur les commandes.
Comme j'aime bien comprendre et apprendre :
- cat /etc/default/grub : permet d'afficher la configuration du GRUB

- dmesg : les derniers messages ? ça ressemble à ce qu'il y a dans kernel.log

/etc/default/grub est l'un des fichiers de configuration de grub

lsmod liste les modules utilisés

dmesg est une boucle qui donne les messages remontés par le kernel. Cette boucle n'est pas sauvegardée en tant que telle, les messages sont stockés dans les logs (essentiellement kern.log et syslog pour dmesg)

lshw liste tes modules matériels. -c video (ou -class video ou -c display ou -class display) restreint le retour de lshw à la partie graphique

gpu-manager.log donne effectivement les logs de la partie graphique

Une chose à tester est la RAM du PC.  Pour cela, au démarrage, appuyer sur shift et sélectionner Memtest86+. Laisser tourner une heure ou deux. S'il y a des lignes en rouge qui apparaissent, c'est qu'il y a un problème avec au moins une des barrettes mémoire.

Et depuis quand on blackliste un noyau ???


EDIT :
Tout ceci est une nouveauté de 18.04.
Et les blacklistages sont seulement relatifs à un noyau.

2 freezes aujourd'hui (17h et 19h), le PC était allumé depuis 9h.
