Utilisation optimale de la CG Intel graphic

Bonjour,

Pc portable : gigabyte aero 15x
Je précise car installer Ubuntu 18 (Kubuntu 18 ds mon cas) est vraiment pas drôle, on sent que le pc n'a pas du tout été conçu pour recevoir autre chose que Windows.

Dual boot Windows/Ubuntu, Windows pour jouer Ubuntu pour travailler.
2 cartes graphiques : 1070 et intel graphique.

Sous Windows 13h d'autonomie sous ubuntu 2h30.
Installation et paramétrage de TLP => 5h d'autonomie
Désactivation de la CG Nvidia pour forcer l'utilisation de l'Intel => 8h d'autonomie

Parfait ça me convient ! Pas besoin de plus.


Alors !
Depuis que je force la carte Intel j'ai de petit bug un peu partout (ca vient pas du proc car je suis branché en ce moment donc puissance max)
Sous google chrome qd je change d'onglets ça peut mettre 3 secondes a apparaître avec des bug d'affichage
En ce moment je vous écrit et des fois les lettres apparaissent 2 sec après l'avoir taper
rien que de cliquer pour corriger ce que je vous écrit ça galère (pas tout le temps ca change d'une seconde à l'autre)
C'est un peu comme si mon écran faisait de micro freeze régulièrement

Mes questions sont les suivantes :
Comment être sûr que j'ai la dernière version du pilote de ma carte Intel ?
Devrais-je/Pourrais-je supprimer la carte Nvdia ? (je ne m'en sers pas du tout et c'est dans l'application Nvidia que j'ai demandé a ce que la carte Intel soit considérée comme étant par défaut)
Avez vous une idée en gros de ce que je devrais faire pour regagner une fluidité lambda.

Merci beaucoup de votre aide !
J'ai tenté de vous donner un max de détail mais si vou avez besoin de plus n'hésitez pas bienevidemment.

PS : Attention PC capricieux souvenez vous-en smile

Bonjour,

Le problème, c'est que même en empêchant le pilote nvidia de se charger sur ubuntu (traduction: ne pas installer/supprimer le pilote propriétaire) et en blacklistant nouveau, on évite son utilisation, mais elle reste quand même alimentée.
Les pilotes sont inclus dans le noyau, tu peux donner

uname -r

Comment ça fluidité?
Tu peux donner

cat /etc/default/grub | grep GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX

(le prix donne pas envie d'essayer sad )

Comme dit precedemment jai des micro freeze/ralentisements toutes le 5 secondes qui durent 1-2sec
Par exemple au moment ou je t'ecris je ram, des fois jai le temp de taper 4 lettres avant qu'elles apparaissent a l'ecran ou ne serait-ce que qd je click droit pour corriger un mot il faut 1-2sec avant que le menu apparaisse, et cela ne se produisait pas avec la carte bvidia en par defaut, donc jai un soucis avec l'Intel mais je ne sais pas d'ou cela vient

Quelles opérations as tu fait pour installer ubuntu sur cet ordi?

Heu non, par défaut sous Windows c'est le chipset Intel qui est utilisé, pas la carte Nvidia (et heureusement sinon tu perdrai beaucoup en autonomie sous Windows).
La carte dédié Nvidia n'est utilisé que si tu lances une application qui nécessite de la 3D donc par exemple un jeu-vidéo.

D'ailleurs pour quelqu'un qui ne joue pas, il est préférable sur un pc portable de ne pas avoir de carte graphique dédié, c'est pour ça qu'il y a beaucoup d'ultrabook qui n'ont pas de carte Nvidia supplémentaire, juste le chipset Intel graphique.

Je ne retrouve pas du tout le tuto utilisé lor de l'installation mais de souvenir :
imposible de faire fonctionner le boot live sur cle usb
apres installation impossible de demarrer, ca freeze tout le temps
la solution etait le nomodset.nouveau (ou qqch comme ca)
une histoire de acpi***, avec cette ligne tout fonctionnait mais le pc ne s'éteignait pas (en fait je n'avais pas de gestion de la batterie, je ne la voyais meme pas pas en bas a droite du bureau)
voila en gros de souvenir

Sur ce je ne t'ai pas attendu
sudo apt install --install-recommends linux-generic-hwe-18.04 xserver-xorg-hwe-18.04

Ca a l'air d'etre mieux sans pour autant etre parfait
je ram moins quand j'écris, mon pc ventille plus par contre...
je suis repasse de 7h de batterie a 4h
(enuite j'ai deinstalle l'ensemble des drivers nvidia pour esayer et j'ai pas regarde ma batterie apres donc peut etre que ca vient de la...)

je viens de réinstaller le dernier pilote nvidia le 418, tout de suite je recupere une grande fluidite, dans les parametres nvidia je reforce la carte graphique Intel, ce qui me fait remonter a 8h d'autonomie et reperdre ma fluidité.
d'ailleurs je constate que mes 144hz se sont reactivés peut etre que la carte intel est un peu depassee, je vais voir si je peux me bloquer a 60, peut etre que ... 144hz sur de la bureautique je pense que l'Intel en est capable tout de meme.
si t'as d'autres idees je suis toujours preneur

Tu as redémarré après avoir installé le HWE?

Ca peut paraître bête mais est ce que le pc est bien adapté à tourner sur la puce graphique intel? (notamment pour l'écran 144 Hz)

Et si tu pouvais redémarrer et donner

oui j'ai redemarré et bien d'autres fois car reinstallation nvidia et autres tests

Est ce que le pc est bien adapté ? en tout cas sous windows cela fontionne tres bien, sous linux je viens justement faire appel a vous smile

ah ! le grub ils sont tres recents ce sont des tests d'hier via des forum de gens qui ont l'air d'avoir le meme soucis que moi
beaucoup expliquent que la carte intel a un mod power save, je comprends pa comment le deconnecter ou si cest bien mon cas
donc ces parametres je peux totalement les enlever, ils n'ont trictement rien change.

Ok, donc c'est bon pour le HWE.

Pour les cstates c'est à voir dans le bios pour voir ce qui est proposé à ce niveau là

Dans le menu grub, tu fais e sur la première entrée, et tu effaces xdg.force_integrated=1 modprobe.blacklist=nouveau et tu fais F10 pour démarrer (cette opération ne tient pas après redémarrage, mais ça permet de voir si ça passe comme ça)

le bios est completement vide je peux desactiver ma web cam si je veux mais a part ca c'est le vide intersideral

pour le grub, c'est ok retour a "quiet splash"

je crois que j'ai trouvé ma solution sans faire expres
dans les parametres d'affichage de Kubuntu, je peux forcer la synchro verticale alors qu'elle etait en "Automatique" et a priori, plus de saccades, le changement d'onglet ds chrome est instantané, pendant que j'écris je n'ai aucune latence/ralentisements/mini-freeze, je force en 144hz, surement que la batterie va pendre un peu car message rouge au moment de l'activation me disant que ca va consommer de la resource, neanmoins je suis totalement fluide en Intel par defaut et en 144hz, et l'impact sur la batterie ... comment dire, ya des fois Linux me depasse ..... :

En tout cas merci beaucoup pour le temps passé sur mon cas
peut etre et sans doute quil y a autre chose qui deconne mais bon je peux bosser dans de bonnes conditions, tout en ayant une batterie satisfaisante (elle vient de descendre a 9h au lieu des 11h de la photo)
donc bon je vais me satisafaire de ce resultat

A la prochaine quand ce super pc, que je recommende malgré tout, recommencera à me rappeler que si je suis pas sur windows il est pas content...
