Bonsoir.
Si tu veux bien faire un boot-info depuis ton Ubuntu démarré;
https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/boot-info
Combine pour copier/coller une grande commande dans le terminal, sans faire d'erreur;

=================== User settings
The settings chosen by the user will not act on the boot.
On y voit que tu as cacaté lors de l'installation : tu as sélectionné /dev/sdb1 pour l'emplacement du chargeur d'amorçage de Grub alors qu'il aurait fallu sélectionner /dev/sdb :
sdb1: __________________________________________________________________________
File system: ext4
Boot sector type: Grub2 (v1.99-2.00)
Boot sector info: Grub2 (v2.00) is installed in the boot sector of sdb1

for (,msdos1)/boot/grub. It also embeds following
components:
modules
-------------------------------------------------------
fshelp ext2 part_msdos biosdisk
-------------------------------------------------------
Operating System: Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS
Boot files: /boot/grub/grub.cfg /etc/fstab
/boot/grub/i386-pc/core.img
============================= Boot Info Summary: ===============================
=> Windows 7/8/2012 is installed in the MBR of /dev/sda.
=> Windows 2000/XP/2003 is installed in the MBR of /dev/sdb.
sudo grub-install /dev/sdb

* grub-pc/install_devices: /dev/disk/by-id/ata-Hitachi_HTS541616J9SA00_SB2481GJGREMTE
========================= "ls -l /dev/disk/by-id" output: ======================
total 0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 Oct 15 22:48 ata-Hitachi_HTS541616J9SA00_SB2481GJGREMTE -> ../../sdb

Bonjour.
Comme les manips indiquées au post#6, comportaient une réinstallation de Grub première partie dans le secteur de boot du disque, dont le secteur de boot montrait ceci;
=> Windows 2000/XP/2003 is installed in the MBR of /dev/sdb.
Peut-être que grub première partie à écrasé ;
=> Windows 2000/XP/2003 is installed in the MBR of /dev/sdb.

=================== Suggested repair
The default repair of the Boot-Repair utility would reinstall the grub2 of sda1 into the MBRs of all disks (except live-disks and removable disks without OS).
Additional repair would be performed: unhide-bootmenu-10s fix-windows-boot
=================== Final advice in case of suggested repair
=================== User settings
The settings chosen by the user will not act on the boot.
sda1: __________________________________________________________________________
File system: ext4
Boot sector type: Grub2 (v1.99-2.00)
Boot sector info: Grub2 (v2.00) is installed in the boot sector of sda1
and looks at sector 34191656 of the same hard drive
for core.img. core.img is at this location and looks
for (,msdos1)/boot/grub. It also embeds following
components:
modules
-------------------------------------------------------
fshelp ext2 part_msdos biosdisk
-------------------------------------------------------
Operating System: Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS
Boot files: /boot/grub/grub.cfg /etc/fstab
/boot/grub/i386-pc/core.img
============================= Boot Info Summary: ===============================
=> Grub2 (v2.00) is installed in the MBR of /dev/sda and looks at sector 1 of
the same hard drive for core.img. core.img is at this location and looks
for (,msdos1)/boot/grub. It also embeds following components:
modules
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
fshelp ext2 part_msdos biosdisk

GRUB_DEFAULT=saved
GRUB_SAVEDEFAULT=true
Tour : Asus F2A55 / AMD A8-5600K APU 3,6GHz / RAM 16Go / Nvidia GeForce GT610 / LM21.1 Cinnamon
