Installation de ubuntu 20.4.

Bonjour.
La mise à niveau de 19.10(actuellement en dualboot avec windows10) à 20.4  a échoué.J'ai voulu supprimer le 20.4 en vue d'une réinstallation avec EaseUs partion . Je n'y suis pas parvenu.Ubuntu est inaccessible.
Je voudrais être conseillé sur un outil simple  pour réussir l'opération.
Windos10 fonctionne.Merci.

Quelques précisions sont indispensables :
- Modèle de l'ordi ?
- Est-tu en "bios legacy" ou en UEFI ?
- (accessoirement) ram, wifi ...

Peux-tu démarrer en live (support d'installation, "Essayer sans installer" ) ?
Essaie de faire un boot-info et donne nous l'URL correspondant.

The current session is in BIOS-compatibility mode. Please disable BIOS-compatibility/CSM/Legacy mode in your UEFI firmware, and use this software from a live-CD (or live-USB) that is compatible with UEFI booting mode. For example, use a live-USB of Boot-Repair-Disk-64bit (www.sourceforge.net/p/boot-repair-cd), after making sure your BIOS is set up to boot USB in EFI mode.

Please do not forget to make your UEFI firmware boot on the Ubuntu 20.04 LTS entry (sdb1/efi/****/shim****.efi (**** will be updated in the final message) file) !
If your computer reboots directly into Windows, try to change the boot order in your UEFI firmware.

If your UEFI firmware does not allow to change the boot order, change the default boot entry of the Windows bootloader.
For example you can boot into Windows, then type the following command in an admin command prompt:
bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\****\shim****.efi (**** will be updated in the final message)
The boot of your PC is in BIOS-compatibility/CSM/Legacy mode. You may want to retry after changing it to UEFI mode.

La partition N°7  du disque N° 1  (sdb) indique pourtant que ubuntu y est présent

Cependant j'ai noté qu'il traîne un vieux ubuntu mal fagoté (Il ne dispose pas du fichier   /boot/grub/i386-pc/core.img)  à cet endroit

J'ai exécuté les deux commandes.Entre les lignes de réponse j'ai ceci:
Pas assez d'espace disque disponible sur /var/cache/archives.
Alors j'ai vidé arcchives avec la commandes type :
sudo  rm  -rf  /var/cache/archives/a*   
En l'appliquant jusqu'à z*
Mais il n'y a toujours pas assez d'espace?
J'espère que ma réponse fera avancer les choses.Merci

Le diagnostic est assez simple:  il n'y a pas assez de place dans la  partition contenant  ubuntu
Hier j'avais pensé qu'en standard, le boot se faisait dans la partition SDB7, mais il semble que c'est plutôt  avec  la partition SDA5 qui effectivement n'a pas de place tel que vu dans le boot-info

df (filtered): _________________________________________________________________
       Avail Use% Mounted on
sda5        0  95% /mnt/boot-sav/sda5

Deux possiblités:
   1) Tu bootes en choisissant SDB7
     Tu montes la partition sda5 avec cette commande

    sudo mount /dev/sda5  /mnt

    Tu examines les zones occupant trop de places avec cette commande

    sudo du -hxd2   /mnt    |  sort -h | tail -20

   Tu fais du ménage ou tu transmets pour avis.

2) Tu rebootes en mode recovery comme la dernière fois
      Tu examines les zones occupant trop de places avec cette commande

    sudo du -hxd2  /    |  sort -h | tail -20

   Tu fais du ménage ou tu transmets pour avis.

Je n'ai pas trouvé Sdb7.Mais j'ai pu en utilisant la deuxième méthode sortir des résultats.Les voilà et je préfère te les confiés pour la suite.

3.0G       /mnt/usr/lib
3. 2 G     /mnt/var/lib
4.1G       /mnt/var/log
5.3G       /mnt/usr
7.4G       /mnt/var
95G        /mnt/home

112G      /mnt
Je préfère que tu me donnes les instructions pour continuer.Merci

Tout semble normal dans la taille des répérroires contenant le logiciel.
Il va donc falloir que tu fasses du ménage dans le /home

Avec la même méthode

 sudo du -hxd2  /mnt/home    |  sort -h | tail -20

J espère que tu verras le répertoire téléchargement qui est le simple à réduire

Puis après, tu pourras rependre les commandes de mise à jour  sans le préfixe sudo si tu es en utilisateur root.

sudo dpkg   --configure  -a
sudo apt -f install
sudo apt autoremove --purge
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgrade

du: impossible d'accéder à '/mnt/home': Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type

J'ai deux disques sur mon pc.
Bizarrement les images desdeux disques semblent identiques .
J'ai déconnecté le deuxième et j'ai démarré .Le démarrage se fait bien malgré un peu de retard.
J'ai donc appliqué tes dernières instructions et je suis allé jusqu'au bout.Mais la nouvelle application 20.04 n'a plus mes données qui existaient sur 19.10.
Je voudrais bien savoir où sont passées mes anciens dossiers?

Je pense que tu n'as pas joué exactement le même scénario car la réponse aurait du être autre.

Si tu déconnectes un disque, il n'est plus accessible!!!!!

Refais donc un boot-info avec tout le matériel connecté,

    sudo du -hxd3   /mnt/home    |  sort -h | tail -20
