[RESOLU] Le noyau 8 de Ubuntu 20.04 ne démarre pas!
Bonjour,
Alors que tout fonctionnait très bien jusqu'à dimanche, Ubuntu 20.04 Gnome ne démarre plus... J'obtiens seulement un curseur noir qui clignote.
J'ai tenté un boot repair.

Bienvenue dans le noyau 5.8 !..
Ubuntu se Microsoftise en balançant des trucs non testés.
Je vais faire un post à ce sujet.
Démarre sur le noyau précédent (5.4.59) tout devrait marcher.

Rassure-toi belo71, c'est juste dans ce cas qu'ils ont balancé un truc sans vraiment faire de tests sérieux car ça casse des choses majeures.
Avec 10 ans de Linux, j'ai pu m'en sortir en quelques minutes, mais sinon tu viens poster ici on aidera à revenir à la normale !

Je ne sais plus la touche au démarrage, un truc comme "Sup" devrait forcer l'affichage du Grub.
Personnellement, par précaution je force toujours le Grub à s'afficher 2 secondes. 2 secondes ce n'est pas gênant et ça permet de dépanner !
Pour ça :
$ cat /etc/default/grub
# If you change this file, run 'update-grub' afterwards to update
# /boot/grub/grub.cfg.

Tu fais donc un
sudo gedit /etc/default/grub
Tu rajoutes les 2 lignes GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE et GRUB_TIMEOUT ci dessus
Tu sauvegardes
Et ensuite comme le dit le commentaire en début du default/grub, tu fais:
sudo update-grub
Après ces manipulations, le menu grub va s'afficher systématiquement 2 secondes au démarrage.

Parce que le "démarrage", il se fait de toute façon toujours avec GRUB... du moins sur une installation standard (il existe bien sûr d'autre "amorceurs").
On peut aussi forcer l'affichage de façon définitive (2 secondes ou plus) comme je l'indique dans mon post que j'ai édité.
En effet, si tu n'as qu'une version d'Ubuntu sur ton PC, le comportement par défaut est de ne pas afficher du tout le menu Grub (puisque tu n'as pas de "choix d'O.S.").
Ce choix par défaut est précisément ennuyeux quand, pour une raison de "debug" tu as besoin de choisir un ancien noyau, ou démarrer en "mode recovery"... car il faut alors se souvenir de la "touche magique".
Mais c'est sans doute un bon choix pour la majorité des gens !..

J'écris ce message depuis mon ordinateur qui a enfin voulu lancer mon Ubuntu.
1) Je te remercie Zakhar, j'ai fait la technique du ECHAP pour forcer l'affichage de Grub et j'ai lancé le noyau 5.4.
2) Je vais configurer Ubuntu pour un affichage 2 s de Grub, c'est une bonne idée !
3) Mais alors maintenant je vais devoir TOUT LE TEMPS choisir le noyau 5.4 via GRUB ???

Bien des mois plus tard je donne des nouvelles désolé..!
Alors voilà : oui, j'ai dû pendant un moment lancer le noyau précédent (je ne sais plus combien de jours exactement...)
Et puis, un jour, tout d'un coup, le noyau 8 a bien voulu se lancer...
